here is my story with this lighter last year my dad bought me this lighter and a card as a congratulation gift for starting my first business at the back of the card he wrote "we're all addicted to something that take our stress away. i don't support you for smoking but if you want to smoke at least you have to look cool doing it" 2 months ago he passed away bcs of covid at his funeral i light my cig while thinking about what he wrote on that card. anyway awesome video

If you ever consider quitting and don't want to due to the sentimental meaning of the lighter, consider switching to cigars and pipes. You would drastically increase your life expectancy since no inhalation, and your dad woulda been happy. No such strong nicotine hit though. Just enjoying the aroma. When people say "tobacco decreases life expectancy a lot" what they really mean is cigarettes do. I looked at some studies a few months ago and it's absurd how much higher cigarettes are. It was something like 100 times more chance to get cancer than being clean. And cigars were 5 times higher chance of cancer than being clean. Not exactly stellar, but the lesser evil.
I got one yesterday as an anniversary present... I was outside, built up traffic In London Victoria UK, police bikes go past with limos in between on the way to Buckingham palace for the NATO dinner with the queen. As Louisa and I crossed the road I decided I needed a cigarette, flicked open the DuPont and I swear everyone could hear the ping as clear as day... Such a smile on my face. And it was only the 8th time i had opened it and the first time I’d lit a cigarette with it. Wow

Very nice unboxing of a very nice lighter with a matching soundtrack. One of my Dupont lighters is similar to this one but gold plated and with just one flame. Like with watches it is unlikely to just stick with one of them.

I'm looking to buy a ST Dupont lighter (preferably Ligne 2) but I want one with a double flame. Do you know what to look for when buying? Because they don't seem to mention it on their website.
hmmm... you can ask the Dupont support for help. Search the net for more information. Or look closely at the pictures, maybe you'll see two escapes for the flame, instead of just one. And i believe, all the modern standard Ligne 2 lighter are dual flame, but I'm not 100% sure, so.

No, it has just the normal soft flame.

This version of this lighter has the dual-flame variant. To light up bigger "things", like a cigar or a fat joint or whatever. But yeah, in the Ligne 2 lineup there are primarily only single flame lighters available. The double flame is more of a special kind of option. You have to watch out and take a closer look (which flame it has) before you buy a Dupont lighter !

Ligne 2 lighter needs the yellow (gold) bottle, just like the one in my "Gas refill" video ! You can screw out the gas refill cap on your lighter and have a look inside the screwed out cap. It should be painted yellow inside. That's the indicator for what kind of gas bottle you have to use. The small gray 30ml bottle with the yellow stripe on it. See here:

I'm not trying to say it's a fake but how come the Made in France text looks crooked or is it the camera? I've seen reviews on fakes and they are quite good.
Yeah, it seems to be a little bit off. But no big deal and i don't really care cause i can guarantee, that this is a 100% authentic original S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 silver-plated lighter. Please don't look at fakes and fake Dupont videos. Forget about that. I recommend to buy these lighters from a reputable authorized Dupont dealer. Or even better, directly from the S.T. Dupont website. That's what i did. Bought it online from S.T. Dupont Germany. There's always a risk of getting a fake one when buying from a not trustworthy source, or from ebay, or generally when buying (luxury items) second hand. So do your research and invest your money wisely !
DonGizzle615 I watch the videos to spot out fakes. I usually go authorized dealers. I’m thinking about a DuPont but not sure. I smoke cigars and normally I use a torch lighter. I have a dunhill lighter for other stuff. Those are great lighters.
Ah okay, alright. Since you already enjoy cigars (and lighters), why not go high end with a nice Dupont lighter ? I mean, it can't get much better than that ! Did you ever had one in your hand ? The heft/weight is incredible. Feels really high quality. So... i say, get yourself a Dupont lighter ! You will love it, trust me.

No problem here in Germany. Go to 'ST-Dupont.com', serch for the item you want, if it's available just click on 'add to bag' and do the payment. If there's no option to purchase it, it's maybe because the item is sold out at the moment.

This video is all about the Dupont lighter ! Not my watch and of course not the knife i am using. Plus, here's a little correction: The watch is $36,850. The lighter is $700 and the garbage knife is just 4 dollars 😉. I'm not a knife guy at all, so i don't care about having a fancy knife just to open up a box.

Tell me again why this lighter costs over a thousand dollars? And how it's any better then my Dollar Store 10 dollar 3 flame torch lighter that has the cigar punch out in the bottom too? I'm curious? Just because it's got Dupont name on it makes it over a thousand dollars? Is it just an ego thing to go around telling people you have a thousand dollar lighter? Even if I was rich and had millions of dollars I would never spend 1500 bucks to make fire. My 10 dollar triple flame torch lighter works way better then these. And mine looks cooler too.
