===中國古代一些舞蹈姿態和造型，保存在中國的石窟壁畫、雕塑、畫像石、畫像磚、陶俑，以及各種出土文物上的繪畫、紋飾舞蹈形象的造型中；中國文史資料也有大量的對過去舞蹈形象的具體描述。中國舞蹈家從20世紀50年代開始進行的對中國古典舞的研究、整理、復現和發展的工作，取得了很大的成績，建立了一套中國古典舞教材，創作出一大批具有中國古典舞蹈風格的舞蹈和舞劇作品，形成了細膩圓潤、剛柔相濟、情景交融、技藝武藝結合，以及精、氣、神和手、眼、身、法、步完美諧合與高度統一的美學特色.
中國古典舞有著極為悠久的歷史。它的淵源可以追溯到中國古代宮廷舞蹈或更為遙遠時代的民間舞蹈。至周代開始，到漢、兩晉乃至唐代五代宮廷設立專門的樂舞機構，集中和培養專業樂舞人員，並對流行於民間自娛性舞蹈和宗教舞蹈乃至外邦舞蹈進行了整理、研究、加工和發展，形成了宮廷舞蹈。其中如周代的《六代舞》（包括《雲門》、《咸池》、《大韶》、《大夏》、《大菠》、《大武》六個樂舞），唐代的《九部樂》、《十部樂》、《坐部伎》、《樂部伎》、《大曲》等，異彩紛呈，各領風騷。中國宮廷舞蹈，是歷代統治者愉悅享樂、歌功頌德的一種重要工具，以女樂為主。由於宮廷舞蹈以統治者的審美情趣而創作，其一部分作品不可避免地存在著風格上的綺糜、內容上的消極；但大部分還是多由藝人們在中國民間舞蹈基礎上創作出來的，所以不乏中國傳統藝術的精美之處。

This piece of music is so beautiful and so sad at the same time. I watch a lot of Chinese historical series and I have learned that being the Empress was one of the hardest things to be. Not one day of her life was her own, she had to maintain the image of being the most moral, kind, forgiving and tolerant person within the Empire even when a lot of hurtful things were going on right in front of her. She was always expected to smile and act gracefully even when her heart was breaking. She was a beautiful caged bird, and when I see her dance I feel it's the only time she truly feels free again. Her maids are reminding her of her role and the responsibility she has to the Emperor, Empire and it's people.
This song and the dance should be dedicated to all of the Empresses before her, truly remarkable women.

I'm half Chinese from Singapore. Singapore is 76% Chinese, but Singapore is vry small. China must bring back the old traditions. Even the manners and ettiquette (like dining manners, etc) should be brought back. It was all lost or destroyed after the Cultural Revolution. Some of it is preserved in Taiwan, but mainland China is where most Han Chinese live. Are you from PR China?

so beautiful sins I'm obsessed lol with ancient China and Japan history and such this is just like if the consort or empress was doing a dance for the emperor and yea just me no yea ?.......ok
it's actually a scene when the consort are preparing to go to the king's palace (since this series of dance is designed for the period of Confucius about three thousand year ago and there was no emperor at that time). So you can see the dancer use incense and get changed. Really don't know how to translate these traditional things into English haha
