DId you know about the caves in Castle Crags? I found a large one in '85 when I first went there & hiked around. Takes about 4 hours to reach from the parking lot by the trailheads. Take the Root Creek Trail all the way to the base of the crags where the 500' waterfall enters Root Creek. Then hike up the slope to the plateau & you will be able to see this massive rock shelter cave. It's about 40' long, 30' wide, 30' high. Rock climbers use it for shelter sometimes. It's big enough to park a greyhound bus inside. There are other caves that are unaccessable without technical climbing gear. You can see one from up on the Dog Trail that goes to Burstarse Falls & Sulpher Creek. I saw it in the face of a cliff a couple miles away & got a good close up look with my binoculars & camcorder. It would be a hell of a hike to the base of the cliff, then climb at least 100' up the sheer rock wall to reach this remote cave. There is also one not far from the Petroglyphs on Little Castle Creek. These are just rock shelter caves in granite, not lava tunnels or limestone caves. None of them are very deep, I think I found the biggest one in '85 at the top of Root Creek Falls. I have been to it many times & still plan to return & hike all over the crags. I've wanted to hike to the very top at 6,000' and hike from one end to the other, from the south to the north. A man named Quintin Aune did it years ago but I doubt if anyone else ever has, it is very rugged remote wilderness. I've had an obsession with the crags since I first saw them. Many stories about it including the "Treasure of Castle Crags" where Indians ambushed an army mule train & robbed & killed them then hid the Gold in the crags in 1848. Many have searched for it including me & I believe I found where it used to be hidden but it was known about by the Indians & they had access to it so there's nothing left of the loot today, although many still search for it. It was hidden right at the base of a 40' waterfall in a basin & covered over with one big heavy rock & lots of smaller ones. It would have been frozen over in winter but easily accessible otherwise, if you knew the way to the waterfall before the trails were even made. The crags are also full of scorpions & rattlesnakes, I almost stepped on a couple way up in the crags, way past the big cave at the top of Root CReek FALls, but I've also ran accross a white copperhead snake at those falls so always watch your step, they can be anywhere. People have also fallen off the crags & died. A young man climbing CAstle Dome fell to his death in '07. THere's places where you can fall 1,000' to your death, one is right near Castle Dome at the top of the Crags Trail. CAstle Crags are beautiful & majestic but deadly. "Castillo Del Diabo". "Ku-Ku-Pa-Rick" Guarded by "Appatune"according to the Indians, who protects it & punish those who would venture too close. CAstle Lake is said to also be haunted by it.
I live in Redding California and I can tell you I've lived in siskiyou county my whole life too I've also traveled the world and then to the Pentagon and inside the Pentagon I've been to Washington DC I've been plenty of places but the castle crags in Mount Shasta yes there is a city under the mountain very very cheap City and the castle Craigslist yes it's El diablos castle. I ran into things that I can't explain I've seen giant creatures that I'm sure no man has come acrossed also the PCT trail is up here and the marble mountains
perhaps. due to the crags being the remnants of an old tree, having been cut down or whatever. this allowed for giant trees to grow more easily in the are like redwoods then they had to burn those too. if that makes sense
That was so wonderful, I love Mt. Shasta and the Lemurian mysteries Looking at the mountains with all the trees does mask the potential there and I agree there's loads of potential. Been trying to contact you, can you please email me? Much love. 💖

These guys are pretty cool actually and just are exploring places in California that really haven't been looked into very deeply as far as Tartaria goes. Maybe you and the guys could meet up and you can collaborate by you giving a video tour, that would be so cool! I'm still learning but San Francisco is a great place to learn about it. Thank you for the Blessings I send you much love.

It was also called "The Devil's Abode" (not adobe)😉
If you drive to the top of the Craggs there's a spot marked "Whalin' Summit"....makes me wonder about ocean water levels in times past.
thats awesome. I've wanted to get to the top since we went there
The area is volcanic. The Craig’s could be the result of upheaval during an eruption long ago
2:06 Does there seemed like two faces at the bottom of the mountains?
