If they built this exact same truck today it would unfortunately have to make about 40mpg’s to meet emissions because of the absolutely insane way we estimate fuel economy
Love you videos! They have been very helpful especially when I dropped my Silverado, getting all the links and parts numbers saved me soo much time! Thank you
Did the same with mine during lockdown. I went with a new carpet that I purchased from eBay for 1 bill, was a bit of a pain to align with the frame so what I ended up doing was using a steam cleaner a couple of times to get rid of that new smell and also to soften it up. Made it easier to install and obviously had to trim some off. Took out the old headliner and replaced it with a really nice new cloth that I got from one of those craft stores for like 15 bucks and had enough left over to wrap the interior trim pieces to match it. I would also highly highly suggest to sound proof the interior, this little trucks tend to be noisy but other than that they are a really fun project to work on in your spare time
Seat looks really nice. When I got my 03 Silverado home first thing I did was pull out the seats & plastic to clean it was like a hoarder under the seat, I had use a steamer on the seat belts to get the stains out
When i detailed cars at a dealership 30 years ago. All used vehicles got the carpet pulled & pressure washed. Then if faded - would custom mix dye to match & spray areas with a spray bottle. Leave over night for a good dry. Next day - hit with a vacuum. Looked like new carpet - most of the time. Nice work.
Love me an S10. Especially the 82-93's. I have a 98 my parents bought me in 2000 when I graduated college. Never getting rid of it. Been sitting for the past 6 years and I have 3 years to get it ready so my daughter can learn to drive a manual. After that...it's getting bags. I wanted to bag it 20 years ago but couldn't justify.
Like you said . looks a thousand times better. My heater core connectors just broke off Friday. Had to drive it hot that way for a few miles. I fixed it Sunday night. Everything came out good. Those things were the hardest thing I've done so far. What a pain. And today I went to discount tire and purchashed a set new tires. I had I screw in one tire. They needed to be replaced so I just bought a new set. If its not one thing its another
Lmfao so im 25 now. I had this exact truck as my first vehicle when i was 17. And i cant tell how funny it was to see my friends pop open that glovebox and dump everything on them while im on the gas shifting 🤣 man that truck was the funniest vehicle. Running out of gas cause of the gauge sticking, hopping curbs with people and pallets in the bed for bon fires, that thing taught a couple females standard 😁😁
I have a 92 s10 4.3 5 speed with 302,000 miles. Going to eventually upholster the seat and door panels, maybe replace carpet. Love love love my truck. Guy came to my house to try and buy it last week. Not for sale.
I had a 1992 S10 Tahoe 4.3L V6 since December 2015 with 182k miles and a replacement instrument cluster out of a GMC Sonoma 5-speed since the odometer in mine quit working when I first got it. I sold my truck in September 2019 with 224,000 miles and got an ‘06 Ram 1500 4x4 with only 102k miles. I was originally going to put a digital instrument cluster in my S10 to make it look more old school if I still had it today…
Those are the original door/windows, having a hard time finding the window regular for mine , even tho it’s manual, all it shows with the vin # is electric power windows !
Great video as always. One of the most satisfying things is cleaning a dirty interior. I live in Illinois and have been looking around for a clean s10. If you get serious about selling it hit me up. Can you DM on UA-cam? I don’t even know haha but no BS if you get ready to sell it I’m interested.
I know what you mean about ocd I am the same. I like doing it because it’s fun to me and I get an excitement and Relieve and satisfaction I’m the type that is a button look ugly or broken I replace it even the smallest shit
For some reason I like to C10 should build a clone of a a cyclone or do something with it the truck relates to a lot of normal people that can afford it
Yeah that's true but I wouldn't go too crazy with the motor I would just make it look like a cyclone just appearance first it would be cheaper that way and faster
@@TWAMotorsports good Monday evening Bud.. well I'm just getting home from work.. detailing your son's S10 truck.. sweet man project S10... I have OCD and my wife says sometimes I go overboard hahaha...
@@TWAMotorsports I just ordered my BMR front and rear sway bars in powder coat red... My 94 trans am is going to look sweet with all the matching red powder coat suspension I'm installing on it.
Next step drop it slap some 2o inch iroc-z macco paint job and some sounds that can be your son's first truck for school he can learn how to do brakes oil change how to pump gas bodywork a whole lot of something lol
It's a good thing not to have perfect carpet. Then when you get it dirty it's not as big of a deal. At least that's what I tell my self so I dont go crazy looking at it. LOL
S10 with v6 were great trucks should never stop making them
I agree
If they built this exact same truck today it would unfortunately have to make about 40mpg’s to meet emissions because of the absolutely insane way we estimate fuel economy
Probably so

Definitely easier to replace

Yeah I'm the same way. Even on turds like this lol
As an s10 owner, I really appreciate your video and the way you give love to your truck.
Thank you
Turned that interrior from a 3/10 to a 8/10 great job
That was the goal and I'm happy with that outcome

Yeah I have done that method too
It’s not a beater it’s a classic square body s10
Beater version

I love the chevy s10s. They're my favorite mini truck.
Definitely good trucks

It all snowballs sometimes. Heater cores always suck to replace
@@TWAMotorsports oh it was just the heater core disconnect . where the water lines for the water pump go to. The ones behind over by the firewall.
Still a pain to reach
Love the detailing jobs, keep it up...Dont sale it LS SWAP it!!
Thank you. Too many others to keep and fix this one.
I had a canyon with the 5.3 and it'd be perfect for these trucks!
Would be fun
I have a s10 extended cab that needs a new motor new interior new everything but it is a project truck
Good luck on it.

You built a huge new shop and your poor wife still has to park in the snow. lol keep up the good work
Just for the night. She didn't have to go anywhere the next day so she was cool
YO THIS IS SWEET. LOOKING FOR THATHEADLINER VIDEO NEXT. GONNAPULL MY S15 CARPET AND DO THE SAME MUCH LOVEBRO
I actually sold it before doing the headliner
the before and after is tremendous. someone is gonna have a rad little manual pickup after all is said and done with this nugget.
Thank you. I love that I can drive it comfortably now.
$120 for a carpet 🤔 that's not bad at all! Considering here in Los Angeles a professional detailing will cost you upwards of $300
True
Wow $300 is cheap! It's $600 - $700 up here in Vancouver
Probably higher now
Everything in California is stupid high
@8thst.garage144 move
Next time you have to thread your buckles through the seat maybe use some small rope. Tie one end to a buckle and feed the rope through the hole.
Probably a good idea
Probably find a couple 10mm sockets. Great channel man!!!
That's for sure lol. Thank you
Dye paint, works great I use it all the time!
I used that in the past but I'm happy with where it is now.
do you know what color your s10 is painted? ive been looking to get my s10 painted and i think that color is great
No idea. Factory baby blue
A clean vehicle always sell for more than a dirt one. Looks great!
Thank you. That is true
Wait you can just remove the carpet by removing the shift boot? Would this work with a 97 s10?
Should be the same
@@TWAMotorsports nice

Lol. I know.
Awesome, where did you get the seat. I been looking for a new bench seat in my S10
Stock seat my upholstery guy recovered
@@TWAMotorsports Thanks for responding, one more question friend, how much?
400
no, spray the carpet with a can of that dye.
Also, what do you mean "set in this truck" are you saying "sit"?

Thank you. I can set in it now lol
prob could have fabric sprayed ?
Probably
Oh yes in the og garage haha.... good video.
Fo sure. Thank you
Where's the link to that chair? I gotta get me one of those!
In my last few videos.
I would grab a can of spray paint close to the color of the carpet mist it on and rub it in. Or fabric paint
I'm done working on this turd lol
My son started with an S10 manual. Still drives it and a car with a manual
My son doesn't want to learn it seems.
Where can i get a new seat?
Fb marketplace or salvage
When is the lowering video!?!!
When the new owner does one lol
That’s a nice little truck
Thank you
that truck cleaned up good man if you decide to sell it please let us know id buy it and slam it with some steel wheels and white walls 🔥
It will be for sale before the end of the year.
You sure do leave trucks nice I think that carpet will do
Thank you. Yes it will do for what I need.
Does anyone know if you can put a bench seat in 88 s10 extended cab
Sure can
I know what you mean about ocd I am the same. I like doing it because it’s fun to me and I get an excitement and Relieve and satisfaction I’m the type that is a button look ugly or broken I replace it even the smallest shit

Yeah maybe if I get the time
The first UA-camr to ever really respond to my comment thank you great job love to watch your videos
Thank you.
You can get the rubber flooring 4 less and it's so mutch easier to clean
Probably so
I would get some carpet paint and paint it black.
Probably should
for $160 you can get a carpet kit for these and spend about 1/2 the time making it look twice as good.
Definitely the best route
What up Travis!
