Lauren Brown I've never watched the winter olympics (in fact Rio was the first summer I've ever watched) but only 3 skaters can go? Im a little confused. How many Senior Lady Skaters can go per country? I looked it up the other day and i thought it said 9. My three favorite skaters are Mariah Bell, Polina Edmunds, and Tyler Pierce. Although Marai Nagasu is also an amazing skater she should go too.
Im generally curious, but what happened to figure skaters having proper spirals and laybacks? It seems like I’ve only seen Sasha Cohen and Michelle Kwan have a full spiral. Is it really that hard to achieve?
I miss them too, but honestly I think a lot of ugly form from non-Sasha's and non-Kwan's took them out. We love them when they look glorious, but when they're bad, yeesh. (Though you could say that about any element I guess.)

They don't do them anymore because they're not required elements. Karen Chen does a spiral as her choreographic element I think.
