luck = being good at the right time. no such thing as luck ;) if you suck, you won't go anywhere. working for a company you develop your skills at beforehand doesn't count as his freelance stuff, sure. But, the work he put it in to get to a spot where he COULD deliver on that work is far from luck! :)
@@pratherbby not exactly. If you are not good at what you do in the first place you shouldn’t be doing it as freelance. What I mean by luck is getting The right clients right away. That no matter how good you are is luck. It takes years to develop a clients base. He got lucky right out of the gate and it started the ball rolling. That is fantastic for him but it’s not reality.

6 months…that’s very fortunate. Usually takes many years.To survive a startup as a creative, luck is the most important factor.
