Ukraine's foreign legion ready to fight Russians back in Sievierodonetsk

- Russian forces advanced deep into the ruined eastern factory city of Sievierodonetsk, but Ukrainian troops were still holding out on Friday (June 3) as Russia's assault on its neighbour entered its 100th day.
Members of Ukraine’s foreign legion arrived in Sievierodonetsk on Thursday (June 2) getting ready to join the battle.
Zurab Kakalidze is a 22-year-old member of Ukraine's foreign legion, which is made of foreign fighters who volunteer to come to Ukraine and fight against the Russians. He said he felt he was on the right side of history. He and his fellow fighters were optimistic to see their families again and wanted to make sure the enemy would not, he added.
Ukraine's defence minister said his troops were already training in Europe to operate new, advanced missile systems pledged this week by the United States and Britain, which Kyiv hopes will help swing the battle in its favour in coming weeks.
A war that Western countries believe Russia planned to win within hours has ground on for more than three months, with Moscow having been driven back from the capital but launching a huge new assault in the east.
The past weeks have seen Russia pour its forces into the battle for Sievierodonetsk, a small factory city in the east, which Russia must capture to achieve its stated aim of holding all of Luhansk province. Both sides have been taking punishing losses there in a street-by-street battle that could set the trajectory for a long war of attrition.

@@alphaastro3068 He must be talking about the second victory. The first victory was defending Kiev and their democracy.
The second victory will be pushing back Russia towards their own border. Hopefully in all areas but we will see if its gonna be a all out military victory or if a deal is made at some point.
Personally I think we can count Ukraines political support a victory also. Its not easy for smaller poorer countries to win politically against a much larger invader that is well trained in using propaganda and misinformation to its advantage.
So international support was a big win.

Suppressed SCAR with a Kobra optic on it. A combination that I never thought I would ever see. This paints a rather vivid picture of what the modern warfighter is working with on the ground in Ukraine. Highly effective while seemingly highly unorthodox as compared with expected norms we generally see.
Also great to see Hummers with M2's in action.
You'd think everyone would be using a AK based rifle considering the ammo dilfference 5.45 or 7.62 and then 6.5 for the SCAR?
@@michaelmiserocchi9050 Nah, caliber is immaterial for me. What I am seeing is the SCAR, with a can, and then a Kobra (Russian reflex) sight. A SCAR with a Kobra on it, or a SCAR with a can on it are relatively strange. Seeing them all together is like "Well yeah, that works too!! Go on with yourself!!" lol
It also gives you an idea on where the arms and kit are coming from. A SCAR and then with a can on it.....for those items to be in-country, that tells me thats SOF equipment. The Kobra is pretty common but optics right now are uncommon unless you are SOF, but in that case it would be Ukrainian SOF. I would like to know who that individual is..... ;-)

I also took note of only 1 total crap Russian AK that are proven to jam up or blow up and have less accurate than a shotgun with all the rest of the soldier has High quality and accurate modern assault weapons.
Actually men serving in French Foreign Legion are not allowed to serve as they are in active duty. That rule does not apply to former members of French Foreign Legion.
