Sonny single handedly introducing dental issues to remote tribes.
All for our entertainment
I dunno their theeth look like they already have those, like we do 😁
Oh no those dental issues are self made by the genius tribe dentist lmfao.😂
lol

The man stated he never tasted a strawberry. Next video, bring them various fresh and dried fruits to taste if possible. It would be just as interesting and healthier.

The macaroni comparison makes so much sense! Candy licorice is made of flour and extruded just like noodles!
Good point..
reminds me of that african grey parrot tapping against a wall with ceramic tiles on it then says "glass"
close enough bird, i'll take it lol
Exactly my thoughts!! noodles when undercooked are chewy and the tamarind would add the tartness/sourness and some sweetness.
That's exactly right

I'm Ethiopian and I've been a subscriber for about a year now and I've been wishing you'd visit since the first day I came across your channels. I know these places, but I've never been in person. @@joeymorrison6743 Aw too bad that doesn't excuse the treatment you devils.
Seeing them smile eating the candy, just brightens my day!
You know, I actually envy them. Yes, they have less tech, but their lives are more fulfilling. They know the fruit of their labor because it’s made with their own two hands. They know their neighbors because they work together and see each other often. Overall, they seem much happier where they’re at despite having less, than us in more developed countries despite having more amenities.
you're absolutely right. Many here in the US are very ignorant to theway Africans really are and the way they live. Africans live happy lives smiling and loving life even in the poorest conditions. You could never tell many of them are struggling when you talk to them.
I wish I could live in a more traditional family and community oriented place like that.
Everyone knows what to do and who they are, everyone knows and supports each other,I wouldn't want to live exactly the way they do,but maybe something like an old western town.
Youd say that for a week than would love to come back to western civilization
@@mylesbishop1240
I’ve lived in the wilderness before. If I was living like this alone without a community, maybe. We have some great luxuries, but we gave up our soul. Are our luxuries worth a fulfilling life? Hell, look at suicide rates of Western countries vs places like this.
@@mylesbishop1240 no , a lot of ppl leave towns and are happier
It seems light enough because of the format of the video and us being accustomed to it, but man... your team and you must have been through a looooooooooooooot more than we can ever imagine to come in contact with these people.
Well done!
This is a very good point
It doesn't need a lot of thing to be with them. They are so welcomed people even more than the city. But I am sad because these video looks like advertising candy's rather than seeing the culture
Sonny just knows how to make interesting content...this man needs his own docu series on national geographic and the freedom to make content that he likes.
Agreed
I definitely agreed with you 100%👍
Yes lets mix a big corporation with Sonny so they can decide what content he makes. Great deal.
He did try a go at it with travel channel but didnt work out. He's better off doing his own thing, because he has no other restrictions other than his own.
Just let him do his thing and support him on his platform, don't mix big corps with his free spirit and creative nature, it will just dilute it and bring avg content
I wish you could bring them all the fruits they’ve never tried!😮❤

I love this series of letting other countries try American (free diabetes) snacks so please continue to prolong this series
Idk who told you that diabetes was free but they lied

oooh diabetes soo funny haha
Yayy!!! I loved the first video of Sonny bringing candy to these African Tribes. I’m so happy to see another one. I’m fascinated to see reactions to candy since I love them so much.
I’d love to see you share snack cakes with other people. Like Tasty Cakes (east coast) or Little Debbie, Hostess, Drake’s cakes, etc…
I think it would be fascinating to see what they think of those types of junk food/candy. 😊
I brought tasty kake to my Japanese coworkers and they said it tasted too sweet
@@christinem9766 I would imagine so! I grew up with them and I think some of them are too sweet. 🤣
My boy reppin' Brooklyn all the way out there. BK STAND-UP!!!
Since they don't have any point of reference for fruit flavors maybe you could bring the real fruit too so they can compare. I'm sure being able to bring or find the fruits there can be difficult but you could try? Love your videos!!
Lol idiotic comment
I'm so glad they got to try different candy its beautiful to give the love if god!!!
Lmao. I loved every bit of this video. The interesting flavor comparisons were the best part, but Sonny's bickering with himself was a close second.
I love the sense of community and unconditional support within these tribes. I'm takin' notes, and so should the rest of America
Anyone else start salivating when they show the sour patch kids? Great vlog thanks!
Trying every culture diet is a blessing in itself
Giving processed foods to these ppl who make the most of their natural habitat is just wild Sonny

😆🤣 .. omg ! I totally can relate, there's some pretty weird american candy. Wondering about what they would have said to 'Atomic Fireballs' by FerraraCandy, a pretty strong cinnamon throat bomb.. 🤪
Hi
One of my favorites, since childhood. Which seems like it was a million years ago! 😂
My parents would give me $1 a week for doing extra chores.
(we didn’t get paid for the chores that were naturally our responsibility…so no allowance).
Anyway, I’d go across the street to the local mom & pop store and get 100 pieces of penny candy. (Now you know how old I really am 😂). I’d take it to school and sell it for two pennies each piece. But I’d only sell 50 pieces. So I was basically getting to eat 50 pieces of candy each week at zero cost to me. 😅😊 If I bought fireballs I could 5¢ each for them!!!
Anyway…it ended up not mattering in the long run as the school made me shut my little candy enterprise down. 😂😂

Great video! Loved seeing everyone’s reactions 😃
i am from ethopia and so many people like the candy you showed
I never saw Ethiopians who looked authentic black in government high positions. Those of us black folks in the Diaspora who are obsessed about Ethiopia are either naive or lacking historical information about Ethiopian people . Ethiopians are a diverse people.
It’s be interesting to see them try actual fruits if possible to transport. Like mangos and kiwi and even some squashes like butternut or acorn that stays good for a while without refrigeration

I moved to the US from Korea as a gradeschooler and I couldnt stand the junk food in the beginning. Ice cream and candies were sickeningly sweet. Pizza was absolutely disgusting. The greasy, barnyard cheese was nauseating. Even now, im not the biggest fan of cake icing and overly sweet desserts
The junk food I get, but the pizza?? I'm shocked. Shocked and appalled.

You need to have an exposure to the food for your immune system to reject it, I think. Food allergies werent such a thing in the 19th century either
They don't
This is one of my favorite series
you should make it clear to them that they don't have to like it and that you wont be offended if they don't like it when you have them try candy.
I'm not sure if you know how condescending that actually sounds, though.

As an Ethiopian, I've had that same question for a while. This tribe that does this practice is less than 1% of the Ethiopian population. Interesting enough when I visited Kenya, I noticed the Turkana tribe there also practices it. These two tribes might be brothers separated by borders.
Looks gross to me. Almost didn't watch the video because that was the thumbnail.
@@ravena3253 I used to live in Kenya. The tribe with the beads and red clay hair kind of remind me of the Masaai. The Moran use red clay to color their hair as well. I wonder what the "borders" would have looked like without European meddling

Finally!! I’ve been waiting for a second part!
Sonny I doubt you'll see this but I want to thank you. I developed Mast Cell Activation Syndrome in my late teens (they're responsible for allergic reactions and in MCAS they get easily triggered and cause anaphylaxis without the shock). After having covid my symptoms got worse. I can barely eat anything without it making me sick. I developed food avoidance tendencies sue to that and it's caused malnutrition in me. But thanks to you I discovered new foods that don't make me react and I watch you when I cook and eat so I don't trigger my food avoidance. You've helped me a lot and from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Keep doing what you're doing and trying everything!
