Hey Cindy, instead of doing "keto" just do low carb lifestyle. That's what I do. I make keto meals but don't worry about being strict and getting into ketosis. Just stay low carb high protein you'll be fine. ❤

Keto doesn't work if it is now and then. You have to get into ketosis and the side effects of ketosis are unpleasant. Back in the 50's when I grew up women were thin and ate whatever they wanted including bread, pasta, and potatoes. I eat whatever I want. Portion control is key. I don't drink alcohol or eat meat. I love fruit and fresh veggies and I can make a meal of sliced tomatoes with vinegerette, steamed green beans with a little rice pilaf. Just keep it simple.

I only just recently started the Cheeto diet! Not only is it very forgiving, in that it allows you to sometimes eat a Cheeto, but in all honesty it really is the Cheat-O diet! I'm lacking in self discipline. 😁 And, I'm not averse to washing it down with a Bombay Sapphire gin & [not tonic!] diet Gosling's Ginger Beer, with a dash of Angostura Bitters, fresh-squeezed lime juice (Vitamin C!), and garnished with a slice of lime. My motto is: "C'mon -- Live a Little (People)!!" You can't cut out everything!!! I never thought of using Old Bay Seasoning in my Margaritas! What a novel idea!

I’d like to add a suggestion for your trip. I’m a Santa Barbara native and I think you’d really enjoy staying for a night in a hotel by the beach on Cabrillo Blvd and taking a nice walk on the wharf. The view of the city lights and the riviera at night from the harbor is one of my favorite memories of SB. Many great restaurants to choose from as well. I live in Honolulu now so I’m not too familiar specific restaurants these days. The halibut looked delicious and I’d enjoy seeing how it was actually prepared, I’d like to learn how to cook seafood at home.
My home was in a magazine. Bring in color with new paintings and a colorful throw for Popster! Like the rug and almond chairs. You can also replace flat baskets on armoire with colorful ones or even plates! Remember tapestries or wall hangings can substitute for paintings, too.
I was just thinking about putting plates in the tv console with the barn doors. I have some beautiful colorful plates. AND an Art company is sending me a huge painting (with color) for a review. I couldn’t be more thrilled. Your suggestions are great. Ty🌷🌷

I have never had cataract surgery but I have heard people say that they have perfect vision afterwards so I hope that is true. I am 77 now and have not had a vision appointment since 1980. It is time for me to go but I have no vision issues. Wouldn't hurt though. So prayers for a quick recovery and have a wonderful trip North.

I had cataract surgery this year in January, was painless, they put numbing drops in before procedure, also have IV and they give a light sedative as well as oral medication. Procedure was about 10 min and then to recovery for about 15 min and home. You will do well, and the next day I saw Doctor and could see 20/20. Thanks for the video
At 73 I call Disneyland the "D" word!!!! haha.... 6 of 10 hours standing in line for a ride I have no interest in going on! The life of a grandma! If I can't stuff the mini bell peppers... you can stuff them! Boursin cheese... or fat free sour cream with dill and garlic. The blessing Eric gave is the one I grew up on in the 1950s! I adore fish... salmon and halibut are my favorite. And dipping it in butter... yummmmm. I do need to up my veggies. I tend to eat veggies as olives, pickles, cucumber, artichokes, like crudites. I am not a big hot veggies girl. I do love a good salad with avocado , feta, grilled shrimp or chicken. Fish is my all time go to for protein . Hope the eye surgery goes well.

Cataract surgery - fast, painless, so easy. Only suggestion is if you’re getting long distance and close up together it can cause dry eye. I missed that in the small print. Ask your doctor. But it was such a walk in the park. I had mine in Newport right there on PCH on the water across from Arches? I guess you will be in PS though anyway my point was it was verging on pleasant. ❤ Don’t worry I’m the worst worrier on the planet so this is good news. 😊

Love watching you guys, from Athens Georgia. Cindy it’s hot here as well. 101° yesterday with humidity. I know that’s nothing compared to your area, but it’s still hot. I park my car under a nice tree during work and it helps. I’m careful to not let anything ruin my paint. No rain at my house lately. Close to two months except 0.5” almost a week ago but you couldn’t tell it the next day.

I also have gone mad with quilts on my couch. That may be a way to go for bringing in your color accents. There are so many beautiful quilts & inexpensive. Love your new furniture Cindy. Very cool. Just an fyi...I heard you talk about color of dining chairs and possible stains with lighter colors. We have cream linen bar stools (I know, I know but its just my husband and I and we're super careful but accidents do happen). Anyway, anytime we get something on them I just use Folex and it comes out every time. People buy Folex for carpets and of course its amazing but I use it on almost everything and its a miracle solution. :)
Can you tell us how long Eric cooked the artichoke and what seasoning he used ? I have to say that since I saw the way Eric microwaved corn on the cob I have done it the same way. It's so nice not having to deal with taking the silk from the cob. Thank you!

Have you guys tried drinks called “Zevia” to add in as mixers or to just enjoy as a soda? I highly recommend them…so delicious and come in tons of flavors (lemon lime, cola, gingerale, root beer, cream soda, plus many many more). They are sweetened with a plant (stevia), so they are good for you and low cal, so they are wonderful! And , best of all, no aspartame like is in diet soda and Fresca! If you looked up aspartame you would never use it again, I bet. Horrible for our bodies … Anyway, please check out Zevia, the stevia-sweetened carbonated drinks. They’re so good!! Anything sweetened with xylitol is also good (natural), but xylitol is very bad for dogs so don’t let Poppy near that :)

Would that removed piece of that sofa replace that stark white round coffee table?! You can add a large decorative tray on top to help hold drinks more securely or you can use as an ottoman. I think it would look better than white round coffee table. Just a thought. You do great designing without my 2 cents!!😊❤

Love watching you guys, from Athens Georgia. Cindy it’s hot here as well. 101° yesterday with humidity. I know that’s nothing compared to your area, but it’s still hot. I park my car under a nice tree during work and it helps. I’m careful to not let anything ruin my paint. No rain at my house lately. Close to two months except 0.5” almost a week ago but you couldn’t tell it the next day.

Love your new furniture Cindy. Very cool. Just an fyi...I heard you talk about color of dining chairs and possible stains with lighter colors. We have cream linen bar stools (I know, I know but its just my husband and I and we're super careful but accidents do happen). Anyway, anytime we get something on them I just use Folex and it comes out every time. People buy Folex for carpets and of course its amazing but I use it on almost everything and its a miracle solution. :)

Can you tell us how long Eric cooked the artichoke and what seasoning he used ? I have to say that since I saw the way Eric microwaved corn on the cob I have done it the same way. It's so nice not having to deal with taking the silk from the cob. Thank you!
I just had cataract surgery in February for both eyes. It was a breeze. No discomfort. And you can see right away!

Have you guys tried drinks called “Zevia” to add in as mixers or to just enjoy as a soda? I highly recommend them…so delicious and come in tons of flavors (lemon lime, cola, gingerale, root beer, cream soda, plus many many more). They are sweetened with a plant (stevia), so they are good for you and low cal, so they are wonderful!
And , best of all, no aspartame like is in diet soda and Fresca! If you looked up aspartame you would never use it again, I bet. Horrible for our bodies … Anyway, please check out Zevia, the stevia-sweetened carbonated drinks. They’re so good!!
Anything sweetened with xylitol is also good (natural), but xylitol is very bad for dogs so don’t let Poppy near that :)
And I had a surprise come up for me , a double mastectomy. That's a big surprise.

Poppy also adds to the color scheme. She’s a dog but she’s also a pop of color on your sofa. Good girl, Poppy!!!! PS. Would that removed piece of that sofa replace that stark white round coffee table?! You can add a large decorative tray on top to help hold drinks more securely or you can use as an ottoman. I think it would look better than white round coffee table. Just a thought. You do great designing without my 2 cents!!😊❤
