- Yes, there are Jews in Montana!
A feature-length documentary about a charismatic Hasidic Chabad rabbi who moved from Brooklyn, NY to Bozeman, Montana, bringing his brand of missionary Judaism to the American west. There he runs into resistance from other rabbis, Reform and Conservative, and also Neo-Nazis threatening the Montana Jewish community. If you liked the Israeli TV series, "Shtisel" or the Netflix series "Unorthodox," this one’s for you! Produced by Big Sleep Films. For more info, go to www.therabbigoeswest.com.
When I was twenty years old in the late 90s, I had a dream that Montana would be the ideal place to start a yeshiva for young adults.
I never got to realize that dream, but Chabad is doing what they do best in the best place to do it.
Nothing like chabad
Love Chabad
I wish our fellow Jews weren't so resistant to the goodness of Chabad. PG I pray for brotherhood and kinship between our people. Ahavat Yisrael.

Ed doesn't believe in what he is trying to sell
He's not selling anything, he's giving eternity with Hashem
@@JerryArafatso-zy3gz LOL, leftist Jews who make up "their" form of religion are a bain to the Jewish nation as a whole.
…because what Ed’s selling is patently unimpressive. He’s not personable, it shows in this documentary, and I guess it ultimately didn’t take, because he seems to have given up the rabbinate and retired into politics. I’m liberal but I’d NEVER select him as my rabbi. Clearly miserable guy.
I was honestly surprised to hear he didn't know who his ancestors were. It actually saddened me. Not to mention not believing in Moses, who the Torah is affectionately called by, The Law of Moses. Ed and Rabbi Bruk should sit together and learn as chevruta, if sweet Ed could curtail his ego and tone down his disdain for Chabad. Maybe he would feel more empowered about and have confidence in the gift that is his Jewish heritage.
