The man talks for an hour and 15 minutes with no profanity, not one single negative word of any gravity, and just goes on and on about his love. I really enjoy his reminiscences about as his playing, but he is a master of our age when he plays.
The fact that Peter did the interview himself instead of outsourcing it to his guitar tech says alot about his character. I have more respect for him as a person.
You have got to love this guy.... No Drama... No Ego... a gentleman, with a lifetime of experience and memories... plus a room full of very cool guitars...
Just when you thought you could not appreciate a musician more than you currently do after decades of listening to his music, you see this video. Thank you guys, it's a pleasure and a privilege to watch Frampton in such an "intimate" setting.
I was watching a rock documentary on Peter Frampton and apparently he was walking down the street with his guitar in NY for a gig and David B was driving by. The two reconnected and David asked him to play on his album. Peter's wife, who is the mother of his youngest child, a daughter who happens to act and was seen in the film weddingcrashers, told Peter to stay humble when he goes into the studio. And she reminded him that he was not there to play lead but was there to add to David's sound. Peter said it was this wise advse from his wife that helped him to get back on track. I think he went on tour with Bowie afterward. And then he recorded a new album with Bowie produced or co-produced.

A super star with an amazing nice personality. Thank you Peter and thank you for all the wonderful music you have made from Humble Pie to the present time. GOD bless You !!!

Great to hear the stories and history behind the sound. It's hard to believe this August it will be 40 years ago me and 70,000 or so other folks heard and saw this man and guitar at Hawthorne Race Track in Cicero, Il. Gary wright, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Yes all shared the stage that day. What a day! Peter had a different hair cut back then but so did I! Great to see him still active and looking healthy.
Thanks PG, this brought up some great memories for me!
Can't think of a better way to spend an hour or so of my life, two loverly guys full of amazing convo and gear, great job ( again ) PG!!!!!! 😃
I’ve watched this multiple times and enjoy it more every time. Great interview and rundown! My favorite of all of them.
How awesome to have Peter spend more than an hour sharing experiences as well as his incredible rig. John, just a reminder--if you EVER need an assistant, give me a call! Great rundown; you asked all the right questions (for me, at least).
This is so great. Frampton seems so approachable, easy going, and really understands how to articulate how he gets his unique sound. I could watch this on a loop for a week.
Most of these rig rundowns aren't nearly as enjoyable or informative.
Love Peter's warmth and obvious joy..he still digs the heck out of making a living singing songs and playing guitars.
