Glad I didn't smoke anything before this or my whole day would be gone before I knew it.
Thank you for this! I have really been wanting to pull the trigger on one of these but I've held off hoping you would do a video on it. I figured they could only get better lol. I don't think it would be possible to get worse than my 4000. My two 8000s aren't as bad but still NOT good
This was mesmerizing
You do gods work pal. Your channel is underrated. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Hay man your channel is awesome... The way you explain that's very pretty 👍👍👍
hey they are getting way better than before
Better line lay than my battle 2. That’s for damn sure!
Does the Battle III have a metal rotor? In all the descriptions I read on the reel it just says metal body and sideplate. The same with the Battle DX reels. Did some noodling around and found the Okuma Azores and the Battle II are the only reasonably priced reels that are all metal.
I’ve seen and fished with worse. I’ll still give it a go if in need of a more moderately priced Penn.
Hey Scoob was wondering if it’s ok to use a Daiwa Exceler 2500 for inshore fishing? Will the reel handle salt ok? Thanks for the help
Enjoy your videos sir! I have a question. How do you rate the Quantum Smoke S3 inshore reel? I fish for reds, trout, flounder, etc.., so is this reel worth buying?
Could you do review on th the Shimano big baitrunner +ci4 LC thanks for the gr8 lockdown content
tackle advisors meditation on the nirvana of line....laying as one and in balance with the spool......
I have old penn battle, fierce and 704. Never failed. But casting distance better with Shimano Spheros - best
I have yet to see a PENN wheel I would really like to own... 🤔😁
Is it me or is the Spinfisher VI slightly better than the B3? Do both reels have Penn's fancy "level line oscillation system"? Things could get ugly if you compare to the Saragosa SWA 🤭
Which one of these two reels would be better for a wading for speckled trout , red fish,
So yeah giver he'll and report lol. Looks fine to me on line lay.thanks for this one. Keep em comin
aaaah you did not grade the line lay of the epixor.. jokes asside, does this mean no more under spooling the battle reels??
Great vid! Daiwa bg VS penn battler 3 please. Or even better, BEST 100usd spinning reels =)
Im on the point to buy my son a reel for surf angling and must say i cant make up my mind between the daiwa BG Penn Spinfisher and the Penn battle 3.
@@etiennedutoit7182 if your going for 6000 reels or higher definitely spinfisher hands down. For smaller reels can never go wrong with BG or penn battle. Battle 2 has horrible line lay that i hoped they fixed in battle 3s.
@@etiennedutoit7182 get the long cast for surf fishing or LL if you want an all around reel.
Which one of these would you
So Relaxing It makes me want to sleep right now... 😴😴😅
when r u gonna do a video on the slammer 4 2500dx?
what daimeter line u spool on it and how many meters? (4500 series')
Do the penn pursuit 3 or clash 2
Any one put any time with the penn 3 and the braid? I know my battle -2s are really sorry wind knot after wind knot... switched to a Bg and none same line same lure wow...been a penn guy for over 30 years my kids got me enjoying the daiwa bg with braid no complaints so far....
still a subtle cave in at the top tho...
Is there coming a video on the battle 3 soon? How is it generally vs the spinfisher.
I look at it as a spinfisher with no additional seals... I think that's the easiest way to boil it down.
@@TackleAdvisors so its a slammer III w/o slammer drag and no seals? =)
@@TackleAdvisors I don't understand the point of it really as it costs basically the same as a Spinfisher VI yet apart from spool capacity I can't see any benefits? Is the rotor different material? I also can't see the point of the Battle 3 over the Fierce 3 considering the Fierce is nearly half the cost.
@@soobz no the fierce doesn’t have cnc grears like the battle three and the difference is that the spinfisher has seals and the battle doesn’t
What would you say about the line lay on the Quantum Reliance? Or Quantum in general? Trying to decide between a Battle 3 and Reliance.
Get the battle
In my opinion its not that bad! I have a Shimano Catana 4000hg that does a lot worse (it is a different price range though).
By Osiris and by Apis, look into my eyes
Hard presentation. Teach me some skills.
Good night Penn 😴😴😴😴
Just saw the penn battle 3 Dx on tackle directs website. What’s the difference between the standard battle 3 and the dx?
Brass balls
All sizes of DX have machined brass main gear, extra ball bearing, wave spring in the drag knob.
Ooohhhh dayummm that intro reawakened my ecstasy high from 10 years ago.
Nvm. It was the whole video.
Lmao.... I'm Rick James b*tch

Yessss my time was 20 years ago...all we needed was the strobe lights and glowsticks...im rolling dude!
FLASHBACKS SON
after watching i woke up
2 days later in Phill at Pen H Q
Do the penn battle 3 dx
Have you used the purplish nomad braid? If so what are your thoughts
It's good stuff... Nothing otherworldly but looks pretty :) .purple blue pink... It's a quality line like j braid. Maybe a touch softer.. I've only used 15lb that a subscriber from Australia sent me a 500 yard spool about a year and a half ago. If you like Jbraid you'll like this stuff... If you don't like j braid you won't like it. I think that's the best way to describe it
Tackle Advisors thanks 🙏🏻
Hi. What pink braided line is that? What brand? My wife loves those pink braided line.
It's hercules 8 in 30lb...pretty good stuff
@@TackleAdvisors thanks alot. I'll give it a try.
My eyes hurt after this
I love the music. Its just another example of products and companies not caring about us the consumer. Its poor form and quality
The line lay is looking worse than Shimano and Daiwa. Come on penn. 2020 is HERE!
Spinfisher V or Battle 3 (5500) ?
same question, help us please :)
i dont get why line lay is so important to people when line at the top of the spool is more important for a farther cast.
Very important less wind knows more line capacity and just overall a cleaner and better experience.
@@natehowell793 well i guess if you're a braid lover i can see some benefits, but 80% of people who fish mono/FC won't have this issue very much. I guess when you pay that much for a reel there should be some perks to it, even though it hardly makes a difference @ the sub 4000 size reels. Most people who do light tackle fishing should never get spooled anyways unless they asking for it. (bringing 2500 size reels to the surf) i don't get it but some people do it. each their own. my advice is don't bring a knife to a gun fight.
@@kongxiong6005 some people are really into light tackle fishing, the fun of it is seeing how big of a fish you can catch on as light a setup as possible and it really tests your angling ability, with light gear you need to fight a fish differently and use the drag differently for example when you are using a heavy setup from the surf you use the drag to ensure that you don't pull hooks from a fish but when you are light tackle fishing you need to use the drag so that you don't bust off and poor line lay can really effect how your drag is pulling line off your real.
and as for line capacity when fighting big fish on light line you quite often find yourself towards the bottom of your spool so it is also quite important.
my line lay on my slammer 8500 all of a suden messed up everything going to the top ive put i the spacer supplied an a another 2mm spacer bt stil not right how can i fix thid
check the line roller and arm..make sure it's centered, arm not bent, and sitting level.
@@TackleAdvisors thanks wil check it out today
Different sized reel so it’s not really a controlled experiment
Ummm.... I'll give you the battle 3 4000 if you can find me a spinfisher 4000...they are the same exact weight.... One has a slightly deeper spool.
@@TackleAdvisors HAHAHAHA I got one for ya buddy ;)
That was weird
WTF am I watching? I don't know, but it's definitely putting me to...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
