  • PENN Battle III 6000 VS. DAIWA BG 5000 SERIES SPINNING REEL
Find out which spinning reel is better and why these reels are the best comparison between each other. I've used both of these reels for a while now to catch a wide variety of species from tuna and mahi mahi on top to grouper and snapper on the bottom. We go over the specs and first experiences with how these reels preformed being put through harsh conditions. Find out which reel is better and why in this video.

Have them both. Like the BG better.

Tengo un daiwa bg 8000 lo e usado muy poco. Espero capturar algo de 20 a 30lbs para ver como funciona. Crees que es buen reel.

Good video thanks! I have 2 Battle IIs and 5 BGs and I prefer the BGs overall, just a preference thing I think. Can you tell me the brand/specs on the rods you have those reels on?

The bg I bought years ago and it was a combo. That was before I could afford other better rods. The battle I bought for a trip and boat the travel rod combo. What size reels do you and have and what will they be used for?

My BGs are 1x 3000 on a 6' Shimano Teramar medium, 2x 4000s on surf rods and 2x 5000s one on a 7' Teramar Heavy and one on a 6'6" Ugly Stick Jigging rod. One of my Battles is on a Teramar 7' medium and the other is on a crappy rod, Star Aerial I think. I am in SE North Carolina south of Wilmington.@@Capitano_Davide

@@davidmurphy9671 for inshore I've been using fenwick, and offshore spinning I've started to like the carnage 3 rods. For jigging I've gotten some rods from GFG to test out, and they're pretty good. But not available for purchase.
It seems like you've got your reels paired to some pretty decent rods. Tight Lines!

It was a bit hard to follow when you kept saying this one and this one; instead of BG or Penn. Other than that, it was a good break down of a couple of reels that I was comparing. I was leaning towards the Penn but I'm going to head over to Bass Pro and get them in hand first. Thank you for your review.

Sorry I was a little hard to follow. I got a mike recently so I'm hoping that will make it a little easier to follow. Thanks for watching I hope you enjoyed it, don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already. Putting both of them in your hands will give you a good feel of the differences. Enjoy your new reel when you get it. Thanks

@@Capitano_Davide ya a mic would help also. No need to apologize, I just brought it up so you can learn and improve. The biggest thing for building a following is being dedicated and consistent. Thanks again for you video and you have me leaning toward the BG now.
