It’s hard to pick out which one project that we’d like the best you are very very talented and the very simply blessed project , will a lighted candle show up inside or twinkle lights? thank you Mary
I love your project-it's so creative and detailed! Could I use cardstock instead of napkin tissue paper? your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you again for sharing your wonderful project with us and thoroughly explained. You have inspired me to attempt making this project. :)
So cool ! I just need some chalk paint on a mason jar not sure what type of sealer to use to seal it but still keep it Chalky and distressed looking any suggestions? totally love what you just did here☺️
@@OurUpcycledLife ...I've just made my very first sign ...water based walnut stain , antique white chalk paint , sprinkled with rock salt , sanded and with the reverse method from my ink jet printer using mod podge . Waiting for 24 hours to let it dry thoroughly and fingers crossed 🤞Thanks for your videos and reply 😊
Hi, im glad to have found your channel...love ur work. I followed along and made my own chalk paint...painted jars and did reverse transfer on it...but when i rubbed it...the paint came off with the paper and so did some of the writing...can u pls tell me where I went wrong? Thanx a million
Thanks for watching ❤️ you have to make sure the glass is really clean and no oils in it and then let dry really well between coats. When doing the transfer you should only dampen the paper if you use to much water it will lift everything off the glass. ❤️ keep trying
You did a great job. Thanks for sharing. You are very creative and inspiring. How long does the chalk paint have to dry (how much time is needed between the first and the second coat)?
@@OurUpcycledLife Thanks for your reply. My teacher always told me "Stupid questions don't exist" but I'm always trying my utmost LOL: Is it possible to do decoupage on wood, or should the background only be glass?
Is it necessary to paint the jar before decoupaging? I have a vase that is already purple glass and found the perfect napkin that will cover 80% of it hoping no painting is necessary underneath?
Another way to get off a label that doesn't tie up the sink: Wrap the jar with a couple of layers of wet paper towel or napkin, then put this in a plastic bag. Set it aside for a couple of hours or overnight, and the label should slip right off.
You don’t put a coat of mod podge over the napkin once you put it on the jar? I thought once you put the napkin on you go over the top of it after letting it dry over night? Or that’s what I’ve heard. Lol
I actually like the poly acrylic sealer to go over the napkins. It gives a smoother finish and dries really quick but that is juts my personal favorite way to do it other would work too ♥️

Card stock is very thick and does not decoupage well. Thank you so much for watching.
Beautiful. Will the paint eventually rub off from taking the lid on and off?
Yes, it might. If it’s going to be a jar that you’re going to use a lot I would not paint the rim.
Just subscribed to your channel, glad I found it ! From Porter, Texas
Glad you enjoyed! Hope you find some good content ♥️ have a great weekend 🌸

totally love what you just did here☺️
Thanks for watching ❤️ I seal everything with poly acrylic sealer. It works great
If you only have an ink jet printer would the hairspray method work ? Many thanks for all your inspiration 🙏
Thanks for watching! The hairspray method will only work whne you are decoupaging not the reverse method!

Sorry I’m unsure what you mean? So I can’t answer ❤️
@@OurUpcycledLife sorry, lol, font?
Tip: you can use Goo-gone on that comes in a bottle without any washing all just rub it on in a label comes right off
Thanks for watching ❤️
Hi
Love your craft. Can these jars be washed? Thanks
No just dusted! Thanks for watching Fabiola
Thank you for letting me know. Happy crafting🤗
Amazing technique, thanks for sharing. One qq- Once we seal is it waterproof? does this need to be hand washed or can't be washed at all?
Thanks for watching 🌸 it can we wiped with a damp rag but not submerged in water

How long does the chalk paint have to dry (how much time is needed between the first and the second coat)?
Thanks 🌸 It will depend on your room temperature 🌞 but should be completely dry to the touch

Oh you can decoupage on wood easy!! Same process 🌸
@@OurUpcycledLife Thanks. I must try this in the near future.
Where do you get the sayings for the jars?
Thanks for watching 🌸 I make them myself and they are available in my Etsy store

No, you definitely don’t have to paint that you can just decoupage on top
@@OurUpcycledLife Thanks!
Can I do normal paper print?
This was done on regular computer paper
Can I use chalk paint instead of making it? Does it work the same?
You sure can I just prefer to make my own as it’s a cheaper option and I can make my own colours ❤️
@@OurUpcycledLife Thanks so much. I bought some for another project and was hoping I could use it. Yippee

Love this. But the background music is too distracting!
Thanks for watching Joyce. This is one of my very first video I ever made. I have come along way in editing so you might enjoy and newer video more :)

great tip!
What kind of workspace is that?
I have a work shed in my backyard
My paint peeled in places .. any idea why? Thank you
Do you have to make sure that your glass is really clean or the paint will not if you’re well that could be the problem

Mod Podge!!! Not modge podge lol
That’s what my kids called it so hard to break that habit lol….❤️
@@OurUpcycledLife LOL I get that for sure!!!
Gosh that background music is annoying to try to listen to you speak.
Thanks for the input♥️ I am just learning the art of videos so appreciate the feedback 🌞
