Can somebody tell me which direction to turn the set screw! Whoever installed mine used a torque wrench and I cannot get that thing out. I stripped the hex, got into it with a speed bit, and still can't get that thing out of there.
Hi, an 8/32 is a common size. I would check the manual online for your model or call Moen, they are helpful. Check out more home improvement tips in our e-books www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B2KW1FQ9?notRedirectToSDP=1&.
@@MeGaMaNEHnah, it's still on there! Don't think I tried a mallet though. I did have to use a saws all to cut off a kitchen faucet since the nut corroded on. Will probably have to do that to change out the shower faucet too one day.
Finally! A fully detailed video down to the hex screw!
Thanks

What do you do if the “stuff behind the handle” won’t come out/off? I even sprayed it with the penetrant spray to try to get it loose.
Hi, are you replacing parts or the whole faucet?
I’m replacing the trim and handle but that metal adapter is seriously stuck even after using penetrating lube. 20 years of buildup
Ty, for the 7/64ths. Was going through all 64 of my bits 🤣🤦🏽♂️
Glad it was helpful

Hi, clockwise tightens, counterclockwise loosens.

@@FIXITHomeImprovementChannelYou said 7/64 was the common size in your video.
My handle isn't coming off. Guess I better find a rubber mallet...
Mine does not come off either. Did you ever get it off?
