Thanks Adam! You know what? The door is wide open for you now to carry the torch and establish yourself as a top creator in the ambient guitar space. You have everything it takes and probably could do it better than I did (because like I said - what I did was not very ''ambient''... but what you do totally is!). Keep sharing great songs and tutorials and I'm eager to see where you'll be in a few years!
Truly appreciate your time, talent, and content Antoine. I'm hoping that your Kordz classes and other modules that I've studied will not be going anywhere and still be accessible, yes? Many thanks to you and looking forward to your new videos!
I was really sad, thinking you were saying “bon voyage!” I’m relieved you aren’t going away. I’m very excited about your new focus, especially as a proud owner of Singular Sound’s products!! Merci mon ami.
Thank you so much for all the great content you have made available on your channel during these years. You published truly useful and amazing videos. Also, I'm really happy for your new beginnings. I wish you all the best 🤗
You took the words out of my mouth... I don't really want to play in a band anymore and I don't want to play at church. I just want to be creative at home and surrounded by instruments lol... With my looper. Boomerang!
I just hit the bell icon to receive all your videos as it's not what you teach that's important, it's the enthusiasm and breadth of knowledge you bring to your engaging teaching style. Looping is great and I want to learn more on how to use it further. Looking forward to it, Antoine!
Makes great sense, Antoine! I don’t play ambient music but chanced upon your channel via a video about chords and to me novel chord progressions. Your instruction was clear and step by step and enjoyable so I kept coming back. The looper is a tool I very much want to get better at using so looking forward to your new endeavors!
I think your theory knowledge, in general, is what made me subscribe. I don't play ambient music at all. I also SUCK at looping, can never get the timing right. I'm here for it!
You are so right. Must of the times we have It right in front of our face. Never the less I Thank You for all the past lessons and the time You gave us, compadre. So… LET US LOOP NOW. Feliz Año Nuevo y un Grande abrazo de Ciudad de México!! ❤️🔥
I’m excited to move on to the next chapter with you! I have not really made any looping guitar songs in a few years and I’m ready to get back to it. I still never mastered the first step of creating a seamless loop. 😂
I have thoroughly enjoyed your tutorials on ‘ambient’ guitar especially how to set up pedals, etc. I’m excited to learn looping from you now! Thank you Antoine!🎸
Happy New Year Antoine and best of luck with the rebrand. I look forward to seeing how you navigate the different looping options in terms of pedals, software, etc. and how that develops. :)
We’re here for it man! I’ve learn so much thanks to you! I’ve been following on my other account for years, but, here you go! Another sub! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 thank you for all you do!! 🔥🔥🔥
I'm putting together a guitar effects pedal presentation for my social group. I'm not sure how much looping will play a part in that, but now I know where to go if I need help. Thank you
Searching for looping is how I found your channel. Your demo of the Aeros Looper is why I bought one. Your beautiful sounding music is why I keep coming back :D
i think this is insightful of you, i agree, it seemed like your music was somehow adjacent to ambient at least the way I think of it. i'll definitely be following along (but I'll secretly be seeing if i can pick up on tips and workflow that I can apply to other instruments!) thanks for your work!
Happy New Year, Antoine! Congratulations on your progress and expanding your reach to a broader audience. Exploring new places and opportunities can be a thrilling journey - as much for you as for your followers/students. That sounds exciting and I'm here to support you along the way. 🙂
Very exciting! I look forward to seeing and hearing new stuff from you in 2025! I can't wait to see your videos about looping! Good luck with the rebranding!
Looping is what I do most while playing at home and really got me into electric guitar. Most of the time I just have the drums going and when ready I start looping, using my boss rc500. Before I was just an acoustic guy who sang.
You've been helping me on my ambient guitar journey for 5+ years now and there hasn't been a piece of music, video or course of yours which I haven't found to be super inspiring. At first I was preparing myself that this video will be the announcement of your retirement... I was so relieved to find out that it's not the case :) Go go guitar loops!!
Congrats Antoine! Best of luck on the rebrand! The best part about teaching looping is that it can apply to even more than just guitarists! I'm glad you found your drive and hope you continue to inspire musicians everywhere! Blowing the dust off of my channel and will also be rebranding with new music (and rehashes of old!)
Maybe I'm going to evolve into multi-instrument looping someday, but for now it's all about guitar looping. Glad you're dusting off the channel - all the best in 2025!
Some of the best looping videos out there are ones you put together, Antoine. Glad you'll be focusing on the theme, we'll benefit tremendously. Thanks for all you do, wishing a lot of success!
Antoine, I just want to say you've always been an incredible teacher, and your ambient guitar courses and work have elevated my personal journey with guitar to levels I never thought possible. While I've tried to stay active in your communities and videos, life has always been too busy for me to keep up. Having your courses available anytime at my own pace has been such a blessing. I'm really looking forward to your new rebranded page-I think your looping education will be amazing, and I'm here for it all the way! Thank you so much :) - Tommy
Happy New Year..Glad you're still going to be on UA-cam. Been subbed for years. Been playing since 71,& have picked up a lot of useful info from you. Thank You...Had most of the loopers out there-over the years.Had the Auros,Midi Maestro,& Beatbuddy, they Sync together great.. Now using the Beatbuddy & RC-600,Midi'ed together.. Always Enjoy your content.. Best Regards
Glad your not stopping,,I took your recommendations of what pedals to get ,,and expect the boss rv500 to arrive on Monday ,,the ME volume pedal arrived yesterday ,,which wasn’t so easy to source in Australia,,so Monday I’m fully set up, thanks to you coz I would have been stumped trying to figure out what I need ,,but I do want a synth pedal too ,,started your course but been too busy to finish it over Xmas ,,,thanks for passing on your knowledge,,much appreciated from down under.🇦🇺
Great decision. I started following you years ago because of ambient guitar but then just had you in my subscriptions but never watched as I switched to playing with my looper (also inspired by you). Cool to watch you again!
Your videos on the flashback triple delay ambient sounds were very helpfull in figuring my way around that pedal...thank you..ive now mastered the flippertronics settings as well as the 2290 u2 type subdivisions...the ed sheeran loopers would be a huge upgrade from the digitech jamman ive had for 12 years...love your channel, find your niche and fire it up bro...
Thanks for everything you do! Im excited for the next chapter! I noticed you took some albums off Spotify and I got a little worried...PLEASE PLEASE though-put your ambient guitar songs vol 1-3 back up in some form, I listen to those every night for relaxation and Ive been missing them. Nobody else does it quite like you!
It's temporary. I decided to reupload all of my albums with my name: ''Antoine Michaud'' instead of ''Monochrome Seasons''. So many people did not know about my artist name, weren't finding me on streaming platforms and kept asking. So I made the change for simplicity. I have reuploaded all of my full length studio albums, but not the vol 1-2-3 yet. I'll get to them soon!
This is so cool your new direction is based on guitar looping! I use both a hardware looper and Garageband Live Loops and I've barely scratched the surface on the potential of making great music with looping so I'll be following your channel more than ever 😎🎸🎸🎸
Hey Antoine it's Annie here, and I want to say how excited I am for this change. At first glance at the email this a.m. I was concerned, but then after watching the video I was relieved. And actually realized how much this will help. I have had my "loopers" plural yes several, and hardly used them at all. I realize that you are correct...lack of instruction for me. Before saying much more I do want to let you know that when I came to you for lessons/instruction a mere 4 or 5 yrs ago, being a complete beginner, who knew nothing about music theory, I can honestly tell you in a short 6 months of learning from you I grasp the whole thing. I just release my latest song on streaming services as I finally feel confident that it's worth it. In only 5 YEARS of playing! Thanks to you careful, and well planned instruction. I still hit the academy for follow ups as I'm still learning stuff. In different phases of my progress. So....thank you very very much, and I am looking forward to FINALLY using my new digital looper. Blessings!
Thank you so much. That means alot to me. I dusted off mt Aeros, and I raring to go. I can't wait to finally dig in and use it now. I know that looping techniques are only going to help make my song compositions even better. @AntoineMichaudGuitarLooping
I've always loved your channel, always loved the vibe. Coincidentally, I've learned a good amount about looping just by watching your previous videos. So, I'm really looking forward to looper-focused content.
Yes, sometimes it's right in front of us and we're not seeing it. I don't know why I've been holding on to the ambient guitar label in my head for so long.
Hi Antoine, I first stumbled across your channel years ago when I found a cover you made of a Hans Zimmer composition using multiple loops and picture-in-picture. I was blown away, inspired and immediately subscribed. At that time I don't think you even had 10K subscribers and your channel was not yet branded with your name. I have seen you work very hard at building your channel and think you will reach a much bigger audience with this new direction. I have a Boss loop station and am very far from mastering this thing, so I look forward to seeing what you create. cheers
Awesome! The movie music looping covers are definitely among the things that I can start reexploring and teaching on the channel with my new looping focus. Happy to learn that you would enjoy this new direction!
You are the reason I bought a looper 2 years ago, so really looking forward to your future stuff 😊 wish you every (commercial & personal) success with the rebranding 💪
This is great news! I always *kind of* fit into the ambient genre, but not really. I just play mellow, spacey (and looped) music without soundscapes or pads.
Of course, you can keep the free courses! I might eventually remove them from the front end of my website, but since I'm promoting them in so many videos, I will keep them open, I will just not actively promote them anymore.
You SCARED us, lol! But, I am still your #1 fan! This all makes sense, and in a sublime way, it was kind of unifying in thought, because I have always been drawn to your work, but couldn't put my finger on why. There are other factors you aren't mentioning though.. like your absolute transparency and honesty, pouring out your thought processes, and articulating your objectives with a clarity that nobody else commands! This is going to be a fun season coming!!!
I know some people will drift apart, and it's the downside of rebranding, but I also hope more people will get into looping because they've been inspired by my new videos. Let's hope so 😊
Yes! I do not want to erase my past. It led me to where I am now, and still helps tons of people daily. Only new content will be affect by the rebrand.
@AntoineMichaudGuitarLooping tremendous news. I especially interested in your looping project, as I have a Ditto x2 and really want to learn how to get the most out of it. Interestingly I play lap steel as much, or more than guitar so would be fascinated how I could utilise looping in the context of steel guitar too.
I echo the comments of some…I got so much out of your “ambient” channel even though I am not an ambient player. Made me think differently about chord voicings and techniques. I am trying to get better at looping. One thing I want to do is get better using the Digitech Trio+ and/or the SDRUM pedal to add bass and/oe drums into the mix. I have also incorporated the VFE Klein Bottle 3-channel mixer pedal to run some things in parallel. Like having a Hologram Infinite Jets in one channel, and then an “ambient” signal chain (distortion, echo, reverb, modulation, Line 6 HX One for one-off random glitch sounds) in another. Trio+ and SDRUM in the third channel. Put a looper after the mixer. maybe also a sampler (e.g. TC Electronics Infinite) to play pads. Something like that. I look forward to getting ideas from your channel.
Yes of course. I might stop selling some courses that don’t apply to my new niche at some point, but anyone who bought something in the past will keep access to it!
Yes, everything in the past remains - like my old channel videos or any free or paid courses on my website joined previously. The name of my website will eventually change, but you will keep access to what you paid for, don't worry! The rebrand is for all future content only.
Antoine: Congratulations on deciding to follow your heart, I am sure the looping-centric focus will work out well for you. However there is a major question that comes to mind regarding your announcement. As you may know I have subscribed to many of your courses and rely on the Ambient Guitar Academy website to access them. Will the site remain? If not, how will you provide access to the courses that we have paid for and now access through the Ambient Guitar Academy? While I have downloaded all of the course workbooks, I still rely on the video courses when I want to review part of your training and find the Ambient Guitar Academy website a critical part of my continued development. Any insights on how you will handle these types of issues for your fans? Thanks, and good luck
Good question! All my courses came with lifetime access, so I will honor it. You will never lose access to any course. Eventually, my website will change URLs from Ambient Guitar Academy to Guitar Looping Academy, so the only thing that might happen is that your old bookmarks won't work and you'll have to create new ones with the new URL. Other than that, you will maintain your account with your usual email, password and course library. The infrastructure of the website isn't going to change, just the name of it. It's very possible that I will revisit some courses, or even remove them from the front end of my website, but anything that was bought in the past will remain accessible.
no one is helping us either to understand how to feel where the strum goes in. Like timing (time signatures). There's a lot of videos teaching the topic like maths (but this is music) how do we develop that feeling. I think it's very relevan to looping as you need to know how to create that highway of sound but NONE teaches this, and it's so unintuitive to develop this. It's not just a video about what those numbers in a time signature mean, but how that connects to how guitar players use them when playing a riff. I guess no professional guitar player is counting on their heads 1-2-3-4 or 1-e-&-a-2-3-e-&-a when playing live, so how does it really work???????
Antoine, this is awesome! i think your decision and reasoning is solid and I look forward to the future of the channel!
Great!!
Love Your Channel.
Thank You so much for sharing your talent & teaching skills.
Truly appreciate your time, talent, and content Antoine. I'm hoping that your Kordz classes and other modules that I've studied will not be going anywhere and still be accessible, yes? Many thanks to you and looking forward to your new videos!
Yes, nothing I made in the past is going to disappear. This rebrand is for new content going forward. Thanks!
Thanks for all the content thus far, looking forward to the next chapter in your journey!
Thanks for all the great content in the past. Looking forward to more in the future.
Awesome! Really looking forward to the new stuff!!
I was really sad, thinking you were saying “bon voyage!” I’m relieved you aren’t going away. I’m very excited about your new focus, especially as a proud owner of Singular Sound’s products!! Merci mon ami.

I’m with you, Antoine.
Big respect from Japan.

So psyched you are finding clarity and focus in your work. Love what you do and wishing you nothing but success. Thank you, Antoine.
Thank you Gabriel, that is very kind of you!
I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait...
😂
Sounds great man. Loopers are an amazing practise and creation tool
I think your theory knowledge, in general, is what made me subscribe. I don't play ambient music at all. I also SUCK at looping, can never get the timing right. I'm here for it!
Well said !
Looking forward to whatever you decide to bring to playing guitar!
Fair play for the realisation, and action moving forward.
Great to see you so positive about it too. Well done. I’ll be here. 👍🏻
You are so right. Must of the times we have It right in front of our face. Never the less I Thank You for all the past lessons and the time You gave us, compadre. So… LET US LOOP NOW. Feliz Año Nuevo y un Grande abrazo de Ciudad de México!! ❤️🔥
Thanks so much for the update Antoine! To infinity and beyond!
i have learned a lot from you and i am sure you will come up with some awesome stuff. thanks and best regards from austria.
Always loved what you are doing. Respect

Great news ! There will be many people who are totally new to looping !
Really looking forward to learning from you !
New subscriber !
To be honest, ambient guitar wasn’t what drew me to this channel. I discovered this channel because of the chord lessons and theory. Very good stuff!!
Thank you for your inspiration, Antoine -!
Merci pour tout 👌
Ok, I’m in. I like this idea and looping is so individualistic with creative possibilities that are endless. Should be fun. On we go!. Thanks.
We’re here for it man! I’ve learn so much thanks to you! I’ve been following on my other account for years, but, here you go! Another sub! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 thank you for all you do!! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks, look forward to your future work!
Awesome! Sounds great, and just what I have been looking for. Best wishes & success with it!
I’m super excited to hear this new focus on looping! I sure hope it will include AMBIENT GUITAR looping! 💜
I won't change my style too much - just won't call it ''ambient guitar'' anymore. So, yes! Thanks a lot for the support 😊
Really a great idea!!! Thanks for your time and to share your knowledge. Happy New Year 🥂
Happy new year to you too, Giordano!
Happy New Year, Antoine! Congratulations on your progress and expanding your reach to a broader audience. Exploring new places and opportunities can be a thrilling journey - as much for you as for your followers/students. That sounds exciting and I'm here to support you along the way. 🙂
Thanks for your unwavering support, Eric! Bonne année 2025 à toi et ta famille 😊
Very exciting! I look forward to seeing and hearing new stuff from you in 2025! I can't wait to see your videos about looping! Good luck with the rebranding!
Awesome! Thank you!
Great video. Looking forward to your looping tutorials. Your clarification renewed my interest in your channel!
🙌
Without you, I never would have played ambient guitar. Thank you for all your knowledge! Looking forward to the new content! Happy new year Antoine!
Thank you, Andrew! It's been so many years. Looking forward to this next one. Happy new year!

I’m excited for you 😊and your viewers . Great job .

I 've been using a boss RC-30 for years, and I want to get a more versatile looper. Looking forward to your new videos.

thanks Antoine for all the inspiring content so far!
Best of luck, Antoine. See you in future videos.
I love the looping idea, Antoine! I could use the help. You had me sad for a moment.
Looking forward to help! Thanks for the support and care, George 😊
Hell yeah. Already thought that was what you were doing (cause it’s what I was doing and you helped me get there!).
Yes, sometimes it's right in front of us and we're not seeing it. I don't know why I've been holding on to the ambient guitar label in my head for so long.
To be fair I think I found you by searching for “ambient guitar” so it might have been too narrow but it was still relevant!
Great idea for new direction. Best wishes for a great 2025 and lots of looping!
Same to you, all the best in 2025!
You are the reason I bought a looper 2 years ago, so really looking forward to your future stuff 😊 wish you every (commercial & personal) success with the rebranding 💪
Thank you so much 😊
I‘m looking forward Antoine! 😎👍
Great idea. ....I'm in.
I think creators make the best content when they do what interests them. I support your decision.
This is great news! I always *kind of* fit into the ambient genre, but not really. I just play mellow, spacey (and looped) music without soundscapes or pads.
This is clearly a very good move. Congratulations ❤
I'm glad you think so, Marion. Thank you!
I definitely need help with looping. Just hooked up my Aeros, with my new Quad Cortex.
Wow i have just recognized that you have over 100.000k ppl, never noticed. Back in the day the channel was so much smaller, wrll done mate
Thanks for everything so far and best wishes. Will we be able to keep the free courses you have given us so far? I’ll certainly still be watching!
Of course, you can keep the free courses! I might eventually remove them from the front end of my website, but since I'm promoting them in so many videos, I will keep them open, I will just not actively promote them anymore.
TOTAL SUPPORT DUDE.HAVE YOU EVER THOGHT ABOUT TEACHING US SOME OF YOUR SONGS?👍
5★ for your ambient work and here's your 6th for the important and baffling world of looping: ★! Happy 2025 Antoine!!
Happy new year to you too! 😊

Thank you for the support, DeWayne! Means a lot 😊
Love looping. So good for rhythm- add a beat buddy before the looper and you’re even better.
Looking forward to how to loop in stereo !
Change everything so that everything stays the same.
I always enjoy your videos but rarely use a looper - maybe I will use one more in the future!
I know some people will drift apart, and it's the downside of rebranding, but I also hope more people will get into looping because they've been inspired by my new videos. Let's hope so 😊
Will your old/previous content still be available please?

Will we still have access to the courses we bought on your website?
Yes of course. I might stop selling some courses that don’t apply to my new niche at some point, but anyone who bought something in the past will keep access to it!
@@AntoineMichaudGuitarLooping Cool❣
April Fools is in April. Ha ha. Have enjoyed your 'chord voicing' lessons.
see ya
Are the ambient courses that are paid for still active? In other words, we'll be able to access that content still?
Yes, everything in the past remains - like my old channel videos or any free or paid courses on my website joined previously. The name of my website will eventually change, but you will keep access to what you paid for, don't worry! The rebrand is for all future content only.
Great idea, it has a clear start and end point 😂
And thus began the looping puns 😂 I'm all for it!
@AntoineMichaudGuitar Absolutely, we could go round and round 😊
j'ai cru que tu t'en allais , j'ai subscribe ya deux jours haha !! Bonne chance mec :)
Haha, du moins tu ne m'as pas découvert directement par une vidéo d'adieu 😂 merci!
@@AntoineMichaudGuitarLooping thanks for your response. Again, best of luck in your future endeavors.
ok Ambient Looping because i only hear ambient guitar sounds from you, i never hear overdriven CRUNCH but i am new
I think this idea is loopy!
Think youve gone loopy!
If you want to loop, you need to watch Davydas!
Thanks, I'll check it out!

no one is helping us either to understand how to feel where the strum goes in.
Learning something like this would be awesome. ua-cam.com/video/yntp8iCNdyQ/v-deo.htmlsi=FusNyYfswXkWtR36
