No matter what camera you use there are a few easy ways to make the most boring location look cinematic, even if you’re a complete beginner. See how ua-cam.com/video/Tsodhe8hQzs/v-deo.html
I’ve actually been looking at this one, thinking it could be really good for the solo creator like myself. Minimal setup, decent enough quality video and very portable. You actually demonstrated a lot of the ways I had envisioned using this camera. Guess I know what I’m getting me for my birthday!!! Thanks for the video👍🏽
So would you recommend this one if the aim was to use it for fast movement like within the performing arts i.e. dance movement.... recording solo or would the DJI Pocket 3 be good for that because it has motion sensor as a feature? Or would you recommend another camera?
Great job 👏 I was just wondering how am going to mount it on my dash as a semi truck vlog content creator. Please linkup the sanction cup/ holder used for the obsbot tail air
I've used the Hohem Go + iPhone for this. It's very handy to have a 'second camera' on a tripod that you can move the tripod do a different spot, and the camera is right there on your next take. The Hohem Go has a built-in mount for standard tripods. Love the Hohem's tracking features. Now if the Osbot had built-in stereo directional mic it would be a no-brainer. My only frustration with the Hohem is that it is made for a phone, but doesn't accommodate an action camera without some hackery. Noting Adam Savage's content, he'll have a camera set up at his 'home' work area, and then he'll go off to use another piece of equipment to the side, have a close-up view of what's going on there, then cut back to the wide 'home' camera as he comes back.
can you review insta360 link? for outside vlogging use and if it stabizes like a pocket 3. i prefer keyboard when editing. i really dont like editing on the fone. so was hoping i could pair the link with my micropc
The 1/1.8" size sensor is showing it's limitations here, they really need to move to 1/1.3" found in devices like the iPhone14/15 Pro, DJI Mini 3/4, Action 4, etc or ideally 1" like the Pocket 3 to really compete.
Hey Tamara, loving your content! I'm from Brazil. I've just decided to buy my very first camera and I'm gonna try to discovery myself as a content creator. I want to record some vlogs and products showcase. But Can't decide which camera to buy to start. I'm between getting a Gopro + Gimbal or Osmo Pocket 3 or maybe a Canon R100. I know they have diferrent pourposes, but I'd really like to have some versatility. Just afraid of getting stuck into technical stuff instead of content, since it happens a lot of time with me. SAVE ME WITH YOUR TIPSS ONCE AGAIN hahahaaa
If you want something versatile with the great image quality the Osmo Pocket 3 is a really good choice. If you want something waterproof with good quality then the GoPro HERO11 with a gimbal or the Osmo Action 4, which has better quality and is way easier to add an external mic.
I did a really extensive test with this cam and it isn’t as solid as the pocket 3. The hardware is ok. The sensor is not great and the zoom feature makes the image unusable. the app is the thing that absolutely kills it for me. I didn’t find the app as great for different use cases. Great video, as always!
That’s interesting, I thought the app was pretty good, gives you lots of control and is quite intuitive to use. It’s the Director’s Grid that I like the most though. I think if the image quality could be massively improved, when zoomed all the way in, it’d be an excellent feature overall.
Ive had a Tail Air for 6-8 weeks now. It has two oretty big flaws, one of which us mentioned in this video. First, lack of optical zoom is a huge hinderance. The digital zoom quality is pretty terrible. I've found I get better results never zooming in the camera itself and instead doing the scaling in Resolve in post. That's more work, though, and also not an option if you are trying to live stream with it -- which is the market they are mainly targeting with this camera The second issue is the auto focus is TERRIBLE. Like unbelievable terrible. And that is something you cannot fix in post. Maybe they can improve this in time with firmware updates. But it makes the camera borderline unusable, even when shooting with a lot of light. (I am using mine as an overhead top-down camera and you can see examples of this in recent videos on my channel, such as the one for the Magewell ProConvert Audio DX). A third problem, though not as big an issue, is the dynamic range seems pretty low. It is very easy to blow out displays (LCD/OLED/etc) on devices where other cameras I have have no trouble balancing between the device itself and the display.
Thanks for sharing. I found that the dynamic range is way better when you use HDR, which is what I used throughout the video so I didn’t get the typical blowouts with the sky, which usually happens in scenes with high contrast like filming in the “dark” car and capturing what’s outside. I was actually quite impressed with the dynamic range in that respect. Autofocus definitely hunts around without lots of light, when I was in my room it worked well, but it was pretty bright in there with my lighting set up, but outdoors when gloomy and overcast, it was more of a challenge.
The Pocket 3 is incredible but I don't think this is irrelevant. I think it just depends what/how someone films and what features they value more over others.

Love your backpack!! Could you share the model / brand of it? Awesome video as always
Thanks! It’s this one geni.us/esqP

FIRST TIME IVE SEEN THIS CAMERA- WHAT WAS IT DESIGNED FIR? WHAT DO THE PRODUCT COMPANY SAY IT IS FOR?
It's a streaming camera/every day use camera.
Thank you- I looked it up more and a bit more research@@TamaraGabrielUK
great video, the director's grid is my favourite feature
Mine too!
Do you have a drone following you in this ?
I used the DJI Mini 3 Pro for establishing shots
Thanks Tamara, I enjoy your videos and found this product interesting.
Keep up the great work!
Question that is off topic: What backpack are you using in the video?
This one by Brevite geni.us/esqP
Great review! You do great work! I did purchase the Hohem Steady Pro. The OBSBOT looks great! Keep up the great creativity!
I use 2 Osbot tiny 4k, one for my live stream and the other for joining others stream
Nice! I’ve always been interested in trying out the Tiny 4K, the quality is supposed to be quite good from what I’ve heard.
Reminds me of the DJI osmo zenmouse 3 series. . with the detachable camera .

@@KevinLe osmo pocket 3 is overheating while streaming
Has a lot of potential- maybe a better zoom (optical)
I notice the tracking seems to be a bit smoother than the P3. The P3 tracking seems very twitchy and over sensitive.
Yeah I’ve found that the Pocket 3 can be a bit abrupt at times, but otherwise works well. But yeah, the Tail Air is incredibly smooth.
Now I want to go to London, didn't know anyone had a kit kat coffee.....I looked to see if it was in the US and unfortunately it isn't!
☹️
fine camera .. i guess the zoom quality would be a fair sacrifice. also does kit kat hot chocolate taste like kit kat? 😲
It kind of does, haha, it’s really nice though, but I love hot chocolate in general anyway 😆
@@TamaraGabrielUK haha fancy
Thats a cool camera👍
Certainly has its quirks 😊

Wait? Where do you get a KitKat hot chocolate?
Costa 👀 It’s so good. It’s just seasonal, the Easter drink.
i can see using this camera at home doing headshots and tutorials or for school and churches but not for content creators.
I’m using two of these for that, but people are using them for outdoor sports as well.
We should meet up for some photography
Seems like the Pocket 3 destroyed this camera too.
The Pocket 3 definitely has better quality but the Director’s Grid on the Tail Air for reframing the shots while recording is a pretty useful feature.
600€
I think the Pocket 3 made this irrelevant 💀
The Pocket 3 is incredible but I don't think this is irrelevant. I think it just depends what/how someone films and what features they value more over others.
Not irrelevant to me for hybrid in person/online live classes indoors that I run solo.
....maybe...but...OP3 better:)
No tracking? Why are we even talking about this ?
There is tracking…
A Kit Kat hot chocolate? Really? 🥸👆🏻🤣
It’s the best 😋🤩😆
