Great video JJ. Thanks for explaining everything so well. Your videos are going to help me a lot when I make my trip to BGC. You answered my questions that I asked right away on some of your other videos and I really appreciate it. When people I know want to know information about the Philippines I tell all of them to subscribe to your channel for the best information. Thanks as always for doing such a great job. I hope to get in a round of golf with you when I get there .
12:37 i would say it's better to buy a refundable ticket (not a throwaway ticket). Spending more but have those money returned after 3 months to your bank account.
One of the best videos on the subject I've found! Thank you. Just curious what international phone plan you are on in the US. I am retired, living in Kansas, and have never travelled overseas--but want to. So I'm guessing that your US phone is also the way you get your authentication code/text when accessing your bank account while overseas. I do have a Charles Schwab debit which reimburses fees. Found your channel through your interview with Mark, every man has a story. Great interview and wishing you much success with your channel.--Gary
Hi Gary. I have T-mobile. I pay $60 a month for unlimited. The data works pretty well in most areas. I also have a Philippine phone with a post paid plan that runs about $15 a month. You need a local number for things like Gcash, etc. Thanks for watching.
Im thinking of going to Manilla next year for a year maybe since i just have to make a change in life, i will have perhaps 1000 dollars a month to live on when i first arrive and will need to find a job as soon as possible. Any advice where a foreigner can find work there?
It is very hard to find work locally as a foreigner here in the Philippines. $1,000 a month is a very tight budget if you want to live fairly comfortably in Manila. You might be able to do it in the province, but understand your quality of life won't be the best. Your best option I'd try to find a remote job that allows you to work online from anywhere. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Nice Videos JJ Very informative Thanks For Sharing ✌️✌️👌🙌🖐️👍👍👍👍👍👍💕🇺🇸
Great advice for first time travellers to Manila. I have lived here for over 20 years and know this advice is spot on!
Thank you for your comment and thanks for watching.

I was never asked to see an onward ticket.

meet the bgc boys (content creators residing in bgc).
The reason why they like post dated checks is because they can file estafa if you fail to pay your rent for months.
I was expecting BGC to be much more expensive.
Surprisingly, compared to western prices it's not that bad. Thanks for watching.
