2022 Toyota Starlet Review, A Baleno under the skin

Welcome to my in-depth review of the 2022 Toyota Starlet, a Baleno in a Toyota badge. The reason I’m saying this is because this car is made from the Suzuki Baleno.
While Suzuki gave us the GL and the GLX for the Baleno, Toyota gave us the Xi, Xs and the Xr. Because of different badging the standard features you get with both cars are slightly different but the Suzuki Baleno is more equipped even in the lower model GL.
The prices are slightly different with Toyota commanding a more higher price for it starlet than Suzuki. Manufacturer’s warranties are different with Suzuki you get a 5 year but with Toyota it only 3 years. Even the service plan, Suzuki Baleno has a 4 year/60 000km and this starlet has just 3year/45 000km service plan. Which in my opinion is the reason I’d choose a Baleno instead of this starlet.

I just love the front end of the starlet over the baleno that aggressive look is much appeal to the younger buyers.

Baleno is value for money.

It is basically Toyota Glanza in India... But in 300000 SA rand you get a 1.5 Ltr engine but we get only 1.2 ltr petrol engine...
