What a beautiful machine! I would love to fly in one these powerful 139s. Congrats on having not just one but 4! It would be a good idea for Jacksonville to do the same.

Watching this reminds me once again I have a question. We have asked since 911 when no one was evacuated off the roof of the world trade center buildings.
The question is why doesn’t the FDNY run a helicopter squadron as one of the biggest cities in the world and Miami Dade does. There are lessons to be learned here, the reason it came to mind again was from the fire this week in the construction elevator hundreds of feet above the ground in New York City off of 57th St. were only by luck where the firefighters able to fight the fires from adjoining buildings.
Both for EMS and for fire fighting one hast to wonder why New York City does not have an helicopter FDNY.
Often the city of Great Between the NYPD and the FDNY may be one of the reasons why the fire department does not train, nor does it have an active helicopter unit for both rescue and aerial fire fighting!

It is not practical for the FDNY to have a helicopter. Only 1 person reportedly made it to the roof top of one of the towers. These are completely 2 different topics in itself.

You know, only one person made it to the roof of the world trade center because?
New York City could not use a fire department Helicopter for Rescue because???
Although NYPD has helicopter units are one of the most professional, there are other concerns in the city.
We’ve had multiple incidents in high-rises and towers and cranes and equipment, failures and rescues at altitude that an FDNY, Helicopter would’ve served our purposes. At times it’s incredibly hard to dispatch major NYPD assets
      Have you worked in NYC?
Don’t know why you would focus your answer on the World Trade Center incident when it is one of the busiest cities for rescue in the world.
Ask any of our rescue medics who are much more busy than our police officers or Firefighters. ……….

    Do you need a pilot?

Actually think they were looking for a Chief pilot I seen a couple weeks ago, But I would imagine as with most public safety entities they have to advertise publicly but they already have the person in house ready to be promoted.

No. No pilot needed. Self flying
