- In the video I install the Dakota Digital MLX-8414 gauges on my 2016 Tri Glide. The second half of the video I go into detail programming the gauges. They are really nice and I can see all the numbers even with my glasses off!
Very well done, now I know the challenge of this modification. Thanks for the inspiration and your expertise. Stay safe.
This is exactly the vid I was trying to see... TY
Thank you very much! Your explanation and demonstration of the 4 information boxes was spot on. We just had installed DDGuages and I was having a hard time understanding how to move box to box. 👍
Glad it could help you.
"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.....😎" Outstanding video! Installed the same gauges and I just have to (relearn the gears) so the right gear shows up when shifting. Noticed the indicated gear was bouncing around! Really enjoy all of your how to videos 😃
Thanks Jack
Love this... I just order this set for my 2019 Ultra. Looking forward to getting and installing these gauges!
They are great!
Received it yesterday, and installed it today... loving it so far!
@@MNCowboy I really like all the data that is displayed on the gauges.
I found your instructions very reassuring. I'm guessing thagt the button you were clicking off camera is on the motorcycle? Or was it on your phone? I'm looking at purchasing the bike first, then the gauges. 😊 I'm glad to see they do the both imperial and metric. In New Zealand we switched to metric in the late 60's/ early 70's... when I was in my formative years, so I tend to think in ºC and Km/h. 😊
Yes, its the button used to cycle through the odometer/DTE etc.. It on the left hand controls.
Great video!
I just purchased a 2014 Tri glide Ultra.
Since you posted this video a year ago, any issues? Would you still recommend the Dakota Digital gauges?
Thanks again!
No issues, I love them. Yes I would recommend them.

Thanks Bob! 👍🏻👍🏻
The instructions say that the satellite gauges can only have one piece of information on them, but you have two on each one. How did you do that?
Ah, I didn't watch enough before asking. Still my instructions say single info, and yours clearly has two. Maybe the instructions I got from Dennis Kirk are for an older model. Hope so. Great video!
@@Darbre56 Glad you answered your own question. I was just going to answer you.
Excelente Job
LOL I noticed at the end when riding, I didn't hear the clunky shifting that often happens with the Harleys - did you by chance do anything like put in different fluid?
I just use Mobile 1 V-twin 20W-50 in all 3 holes
Where did you find that price??
Ebay The company was Spaz Cycle. I looked them up on Amazon Marketplace and the price now is $1150. this company is $979.99 www.ebay.com/itm/273759650408?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=273759650408&targetid=1645685075208&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=9029982&poi=&campaignid=16730423415&mkgroupid=135815925780&rlsatarget=pla-1645685075208&abcId=9300841&merchantid=115310247&gclid=CjwKCAjwpqCZBhAbEiwAa7pXebr5_Sek8ShebeBemsuWHScunmBIOoomkrDWsLJy8JZz1PzB7v6RfBoC7TsQAvD_BwE

Can you still get the alarms or error codes from the bike you use to get with the new gauges?
Yes. I actually got a message about my fob.
@@Batman825 What message did you get? I got a B2112 code
@@sire45 Actually it just said Key fob
Does the gas gauge and the tack really blink like that in real life or is that a camera thing
Camera thing, it's solid.
Great video. You sold it to me
I have a 2019 Street glide special and I would love these gauges
@@sands1003 I really like them.
Change the FPM to 60 on the camera
You did a great job on explaining everything
Thank you Clint C
Did you not put oil pressure sensor or did you use stock one.
There is no oil pressure sensor with the gauges. I did install the oil temp sensor which comes with the gauges. My bike has an oil pressure reading from the info screen on the infotainment unit.
Need help with connecting from app
What help do you need, make sure the wifi light is on and be close to the bike. I talk about that in the video.
@@Batman825 Thanks it’s connected!
