That red would be perfect for the red room and many other things. What a fun idea to make up palettes for books. I might try one for Anne of Green Gables.
your swatching videos are the best on youtube! so soothing, de-stressing, interesting and informative. the sound of rain is icing on the cake. hope you keep doing what you’re doing!
Oh my goodness, how generous and kind of you!!! Thank you SO much!! You are my very first SuperThanks and you have made my month with your kindness! Thank you! ❤❤❤
I love my Meijllo MG. Did not know the beautiful bright clear violet...it's on my list now😂 Some tips; autumn orange (po36), red orange (po73) (and I'm not an orange fan),quin violet (pv19), ultramar. Light (pb 29 and gr!), dark burnt sienna (pbr7), v dijke brown deep (pbr29)(sort greybrown), cobalt black (pbk27 and gr!). And I like the cobalt yellow (py40) because it gr! They do have a phathalocyanine blue, but that has pb 15:6.... Thank you for the lovely video❤
I totally enjoyed your wonky, circle painting during the rain. 🌧 I love PR112 . When made with honey, it is a luscious color. Thank you for sharing your time with us. ❤🥰❤🥰❤
@lilymoonart You are too sweet, dear Lily. I can safely say we are all drawn to your light, happiness, and hope. This is a wonderful place to hang out. 😊
Deborah, I keep reading the same thing about their Van Dyke brown! It is truly mind boggling why Mijello hasn't sorted that color yet! Thank you for letting us know your experience with the colors and for watching! ❤️❤️
mine in my set is also the same! stays runny (i’ve had mine in a palette over a year now) and by accident i stored my palette upside down it ran into the cover. all this time later i’d have thought it was totally dry but nope!
No the Van Dyke brown in every Mission gold set I have is like that also. And the binder is usually separated. Love Mission Gold not fond of the Van Dyke brown
Oh my goodness, that is crazy! Other's commented saying the same thing...why would Mijello not fix the Vandyke Brown once they realized the mix wasn't good...the mind boggles! Thank you for letting us know your experience!❤️
These were my first watercolors. I knew very little about the medium. I did know they were too artificial looking for my taste. Also, as I learned a bit more I decided that I didn’t want to work with paints that were made up of two or more pigments. Having said that, there are some very pretty reds in my set. There is a set of single pigment colors which I read is quite nice.
I love Mission Gold, they are a bit weird with their names. They do have a real cerulean blue, but they call it Cobalt cerulean. Edit to say that they do sell pure pigment sets.
Do you have a reference for pigment numbers and their true pigments? As you mentioned for the Cerulean being actually something else. I am so lost and have spent too much money because I don't know what is what. Many thanks. Love your videos and the rain was a lovely background.
Erica, hi!! ❤️As Ilona commented Dr Oto Kano's website has valuable information! Another site I have used for years is called HandPrint. Very informative! You have given me a thought: maybe I should make a video talking about the most commonly used pigments, with their correct pigment numbers and their usual characteristics...would that be helpful?❤️❤️
i buy the 24 pure pigment sets when on sale,i can make my own palettes and i have made many ,i also love pwc shinhan and art whale tubes much better value for me.thank you
I was given some mjello misson and they are the nicest paints I own
I love the sound of the rain. These are great paints for beginners. They were my first palette.

Hi,Lily,I love the idea of color palettes based on books! It was great to listen to you again, lovely video as usual❤❤❤
Ty so much for this. So calming. ❤
Love the sound of the rain, Lily! ❤
🥰❤️❤️!
my van dyke brown is like that too! Sad but the other colours are nice, feels much brighter than other brands which is nice depending on your mood 🤣
Oddly enough, the Van Dyke Brown in my set has the same texture as yours. I have the 36 color set. Love most of them except the blues.

I have art whale and the vandyke is like that! Awaiting my
Mission gold pure pigment set to compare.
I have the pure pigment set and it is lovely. I would love to see you painting some of your beautiful, whimsical pieces.
Is the Vandyke in yours funky like that?
Rewatching with sound 😂 the rain was wonderful, I know that the lighting gave you fits but the swatching was lovely as was the mixing.
😂I was trying to stay calm but nothing beats natural lighting haha! Thank you so much for watching!❤️
