Their ultramarine violet is also my favourite! (As is Smalt from W&N). I also love their Cassel brown and Violet Light. Pear green seems nice too

NBr 8 is genuine Van Dyke Brown. It's basically like painting with mulch, often with particles of coal, and is my absolute favourite colour. There are only three mainstream brands that make it, so it's nice to see a smaller maker produce their own version. Roman Szmal is my favourite so far, but this one looks just as good.
Oh the particles are coal? Wow, thank you, i didn't know that!😮 It is a magical watercolor to work with, it really adds so much interest and texture! ❤️☺️
@@lilymoonart I'm not 100% sure, but it has been used historically. I think it would all depend on the source, because there's so much variation in natural pigments.

I love the way you get so excited when a color really wows you. Not to take away from the focus on these fab wcs, but I got that super excited, almost giddy way one time when I discovered "Aussie Gold" from Daniel Smith. It's like the most gorgeous Quin gold with its high beams turned on. 😮 🥰Thanks!

They are both beautiful and you can feel that they were created by individuals that are passionate about what they do! ❤️☺️
I listen on headphones and your mic setup has always made your voice move around from left to right etc. I find it unsettling to be honest. It would be much better - in my opinion of course - if you down-mixed to mono or changed your mic settings. I hope you don't mind the fan feedback. Thank you for another lovely video.
Oh no, I am so sorry! I will look into it - I use just my phone to record audio and video, maybe there are some settings I can try out to see if I could resolve the problem! ❤️
@@lilymoonart Please, don't be sorry. No one else has commented, so maybe it's just me. But I can hear when you lean left and when you lean right. Your phone must have mics at the top and the bottom and is recording from both? Personally, I would record from both, and then down-mix the audio from stereo to multi mono - both left and right channels are the same. Maybe your recording software has that option.
