The Role of the U.S. Senate with Donald Ritchie

In July 2008, the Alliance for Representative Democracy launched a professional development initiative on the curricular programs of the Center for Civic Education, the Center on Congress at Indiana University, and the National Conference of State Legislatures. During the two-day seminar, notable scholars, legislators, and experts addressed wide-ranging topics on the institutions and practices of representative democracy in the United States.

Thank you so much for bring up this subject of the age of these members of Senate and Congress. Do you realize that about 30 years ago, steps were taken to empty the seats in our large corporations to reduce costs? Anyone over the age of 62 were targets and made to retire! And we needed these people because of their skills!

Hereby proposing A Bill to Congress to pass a bill that requires any members 6:06 Congress and Senators to retire at the age of 62. And limit their 4 year term to no more than two terms.
