    Kishane put the field away by 30m then cruised 10 flat. Easily the most explosive looking. Oblique, Kenny and Fred (somehow) looked the next smoothest and easiest. Lyles struggled through and had to run his ass off and Jacobs looked completely dead. Kishane looks to be the guy producing the easy power that the Champ usually shows in the prelims.

    Really dude??? Kishane had a jog fest for that 10flat with no one close and a false start disruption. 9.96s is not "incredibly fast". SMDH. Lyles has more in the bag and Oblique was immaculate. Kerley, Kong Fu, Simbine all looked good. Hinchcliffe was near full out and Omanyala is an enigma. SFs are all stocked, even if SF1 looks easiest, BUT as its first, all will run blind and thus hard to secure a fastest losers spot in case of no automatic spot.

Still see Thompson crushing this if he runs his best race but the field is just gonna be stacked. ✌🏻

  • @Leosooter
    @Leosooter 2 місяці тому

    Doesn't matter what you did last year or earlier in the season, all that matters it what form the athletes are in right now.
    It also doesn't really matter what time people post in the prelims. An experienced runner is going to take it as easy as they can and still qualify safely.
    Thompson, Bednarek, Seville, Omanyala, and Tebojo all made qualifying look easy. Tebojo may not have won his heat, but he was jogging ahead of the field for 90% of the race.
    Kerley and Hinchliffe both made winning their heats look hard, and Lyles, DeGrasse and Jacobs looked like they were lucky to qualify at all.
    People get caught up thinking their favorites are just biding their time, but usually the guys who breeze through the heats are the ones standing on the podium at the end.

      @avoiceinthechoir5791 Sha'carri can't control the hype by the sports media. Years ago she was Queen bitch,now everybody loves her. If she was saying I am the best,I could see your point about humility. But that A hole Noah Lyles is a different story.

    I was never sold on Lyles as a great 100 guy. I think Kishane will win and wouldn't be surprised if Lyles didn't medal.

    U cant only judge based off times, also have to consider how they ended the race. Krishane jogged the last 10m of his heat and ran 10flat Jogged!!!! I repeat jogged!!!!! Noah was running until the end because he never expected someone to be infront him in his heat.

  • @judsdragon
    @judsdragon 2 місяці тому

    i get what ur saying but i gotta disagree with some of it, the prelims are only about doing enuff to get into the semis, nobody with any sense blasts thru if they dont need to which is why u saw Thompson and Tebogo shutting it down just to name 2, the semis is where it counts for getting a decent lane draw for the final, this is where u will see the heat being brought

    I don't think Noah can run down Kishane but to say he won't medal in the comments is just ridiculous. Also, rounds is totally a different beast than a finals, Noah has been on quite a few championship final stages, Kishane hasn't, it can freeze you, look at Ta Lou, Asafa, we'll see though

    One cannot analyse outcomes primarily on the outcome of the first round. It was clear as day that the qualifying athletes were all with one or 2 exceptions, running within their capabilities. The only athlete that looked absolutely flat in qualifying was Noah. He knows he will have to overcome what happened in his last race if he is going to be on the podium. Please do not forget that Kishane Thompson ran 9.77 easing up at the Jamaican Trials. After saying all that, some very strange things have been happening to our athletes at this Olympic. Let's wait and see how the script unfold.

    Kishane Thompson looked the best and smoothest in the heat.

    U are wrong. Elite athletes only run to qualify for Semifinals. Don't have to win. It is a balancing act because each 100m run takes some wear on your body. Especially if you are way better than the rest of the field, you just have to run good enough to win ur heat.
