*Tata indigo injection pump setting to get maximum mileage and lowest smoke and high pickup and it helps to tune up the engine and its sound. also helps to reduce black smoke from exhaust and helps to increase engine life.
mainly rpm is very difficult to set after 50000km manually but my video will help you.
*some extra knowledge:-
Primary Functions od IDI engine with ECU:---
1. Fuel pump injection timing control.
2. Glow plug pre & post heat control.
3. EGR system on-off control.
Secondary Functions:---
1. FICD (Fast Idle Control Device Control). This is
the device which
increases the rpm when the AC is switched on.
2. AC switch off at high Engine temperature and high
loading.
3. High altitude proportional control.
4. Fault detection & storage of trouble codes.
The ECU gets its inputs/information about Throttle
position, coolant
temperature, ambient temperature, engine rpm,
crankshaft angle & Injection
start from the following sensors on the engine :
1. Throttle Position Sensor or Fuel Level Sensor :
This is a potentiometer connected to the fuel delivery lever which is
actuated when the accelerator
pedal is pressed. It sends a DC voltage to the ECU which is proportional to
the accelerator position.
2. Temperature Sensor: This is a thermistor type of
sensor, monitoring the coolant temp.
3. RPM sensor: Part of the alternator. Gives 3
voltage pulses for one revolution of the crankshaft.
4. Crankshaft Angle Sensor or Crankshaft Position
Sensor. This is mounted on the flywheel housing and provides piston TDC (Top
Dead Centre) information to the ECU, in the form of a number of voltage pulses
per 90 degrees angle of rotation.
5. Needle Lift Sensor: This sensor is part of No. 4 cylinder fuel injector,
& sends a voltage signal to the ECU at the precise beginning of injection.

How it works :
Based on the inputs from these sensors, the ECU
controls the following units
through Relays, Solenoid switches & PWM control :
1. Glow Plug Heaters: These are for pre-heating the
cylinders. The ECU controls the glow plugs ON time based on ambient &
engine temperature.
2. Fuel Pump: Injection timing is controlled depending on the position of
the accelerator pedal----timing is advanced automatically at higher rpm. The
ECU controls a cam actuator inside the fuel pump,
based on a look-up table stored in the ECU program ROM.
3. EGR: This is the Exhaust Gas Recirculation
system. Part of the exhaust
gases is mixed with the air intake to reduce temperatures inside the
cylinders to below 210 deg C., which sharply
reduces the formation of Nitrogen Oxides (Nox) in the exhaust, thereby
reducing harmful pollutants as reqd. by Euro / BS 2 & 3 norms.The EGR valve is
controlled by the ECU, & gets activated in the rpm band 1100 to 3000 rpm,
with small variations to compensate for engine temp & loading.
4. FICD: The fast idle control is used to increase
the idle rpm when the AC is switched on. The ECU activates the FICD through a
solenoid switch by monitoring the AC compressor clutch voltage.
The ECU also continuously monitors the engine
temperature, & switches off the AC if upper limits are exceeded.
All the sensors are also monitored continuously, and
a fault or trouble code is stored in non-volatile memory in case of a
fault, & the Check Engine Light comes ON.

If your technique is followed, there is a high chance of overheating of the AC compressor. AC compressor can be overheated if the setting is done with less rpm tolerance. The process is little risky when concerned with AC compressor with frequent start-stop action. I hope you get the point. Nice explanation. keep up the good work.

Yes sir you are correct but this will happen when your cars engine is over heated also AC is continuously working for 30 to40 km or for 45min.
Yes it may happen but with proper saftey the chances for getting trouble is 2% to 3%.
My car is 10 year old but currently it is giving 17 to 18 milage on Highway with AC. If fuel is good.

Very nice video. Well I have 2005 indigo it suddenly does not increase the rpm on ac on
And now in winter I have found the choke which usually in winters in kashmir increases the rpm for few minutes is not doing so and my car which usually starts on 1 self is taking few self's. I have checked heater plugs which R fine. Please suggest
I think my ficd is not functional

Bhai mera indigo marina 2006 car, oil adjustment bolt 8 mm khulnese, car RPM fluctuation or car band ho jata hai. Usitme dusra bolt jo accelerator bolt ko barane se rpm bahut hi jada ho jata hai. Tuning perfect nehi ho rahahai. Please help karo.

Hi, I have a 2015 model ecs tdi model. I have noticed that my car is giving extremely low mileage, something around 10. Also the car emits black smoke, and I can also smell unburnt diseal smell. I have changed all the filters , engine oil, cleaned the injectors etc. Even the rpm is at 1000 at when the car is idle. I am thinking of cleaning the fuel pump.
Can you please suggest how can I sort this issue ?

Total how many km done and did you check the diesel adjustment leaver what is the distance it must be around 8 mm only.
And for black smoke i already uploaded video on full silencer cleaning almost 3 year old video and valve cleaning and turbocharger cleaning.

Sir ac on karne ke bad agar 3sec hai to ek bar ac on kar rpm ko 1200 pe rakh ke timing check karyea ki time 3sec se jayda hota hai ya nahi
Agar time nahi badhta hai to thoda sa distance kum karyea half thead phir accelerator press kar ke 1200 rpm pe timing check karyea
Ji ha sir 6 sec best hota hai nahi to summer ke time pe colling properly nahi hoga but 4 se 5 sec bhi sahi rpm badhane se

Please select the belt which fits the pully with edge to edge perfet fitting between pully side teeth and belt without any gap
Then there will be no belt noise

For cr4 you have to use computer software to calibrate the pump

Bhai alternator me oil lick ho raha he 3 bar reper kar chuka hu sem problem ho rahi he please solution tata indica v2 sab Cheng kiya oil cil statar karban plat sab Cheng ki lekin 8/10 din me oil lick hota he or battary light lagati he please yisape video banayiye ab tak 7000 gaye he lekin kuch nahi huva please yis ke upar video jaladj banana I m waiting ur video 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Where do we get to buy obd rpm unit, I have a beautiful 15 year old Tata Indica V2 diesel 2005 dlg run approx 90000km model bs 2 & used to get 23 to 25 km per liter & even got 30km/liter with out a/c & with a/c 25/17km recently I see a drop in milage by few km my garage not able to fix the problem yet have done it my self & see a slight improvement in milage yet it's not satisfactory & the AC does not work in low rpm 600/700 rpm .. thank you🙏

Actually if diesel quality is not good then there will me low mileage.
Also for AC reduce the distance of 8mm bolt sightly to 0.5 little bit then ac will work in ideal also.
At last check how much return is coming from the pump
If return is low then their is fault in the high pressure fuel pump.
If return is good then their may a problem of injector, colgged air filter, clogged diesel filter or in the egr system.
