Finishing off our 2nd set of 3 is the Kershaw Lifter! Being that we are big fans of Kershaw, we felt it necessary to review another and it did not disappoint.
I DON'T KNOW IF YOU SHARPENED THEM. I BOUGHT TWO AND BELIEVE ME, THEY DON'T SHAVE. I HAD TO TAKE THE EDGE OFF SO THEY WOULD SHAVE. AND I ALSO HAD TO TAKE IT APART AND POLISH SOME PARTS SO THE LINERLOCK SECURITY WOULD WORK BETTER.

Anyway I hate to admit it but this is the first time I’ve seen this Kershaw. I like what I see but not sure of the reverse curve on the blade. It kinda puts me in mind of the Kershaw Filter which I own. Solid metal like this one. The grip is a bit more rounded but it’s a very good feeling blade with a lot of heft. 15 bucks at Walmart. I find myself carrying it in my rotation quite often. Might be a good one to torture test? Heavy and solid. Hope you don’t mind but what about the little Camillus Chunk? Another cheap but pretty well made blade. Wide blade. I really like the dam cheap ass thing. Lol. Found em at our Tractor Supply for 14 bucks awhile back. Bought one amd it is another cheapie the sons in law liked. Needless to say there was another trip made. Lol.
Oh. On your sharpening vid I watched and commented on a few days ago I forgot to ask. When you guys resharpen for testing or whatever do you ever make a few swipes absolute last step on a learner strop block ? I promise ya. Get as sharp as you can by whatever method and then strop a few passes and you’ll have a razor in your hand. I make em in my spare time. For family and friends. Nothing fancy. But solid and functional. I’d be glad to give y’all one or two. Pocket knife size. Thanks again for your efforts. I’m signing off for the night. Lol.
Ed keep these recommendations coming! We have used the strop paddle that we purchased a few times but it seems like the ceramic still manages to be the sharpest. We'll give it a few more tries, maybe it was the steel we had at the time.
@@NewAgeTactical yes sir. The strop does not sharpen. It sorta polishes and refines. I always get the sharpes by whatever method I’m using. Then ‘upgrade’ it with the strop.
