He was so generous with his time! If you have not yet done so, check out the Paul Page interview. He was the voice of the Indy 500 and was of my favorite interviews to date! I will br traveling to indy in march to do several Indy 500 people interviews in person. My goal, to make them take me for a ride for part of the interview!!!

Love Indy racing. Love fighter jets. Have wondered how driving the two compare. Any pilots drive an Indy car?

I travel to Europe a lot for car racing. A few years ago myself and a group of European fans were sitting around at Spa Francorchamps. One posed the question...Who was the best driver in a three to five year window. I heard all types of answers....They asked me....I replied without hesitation Al Jr. For a short time he was on the very short list of best in the world bar none.

I feel pretty lucky to have interviewed Al Jr!!! We are heading to Indy next month to do several more Indy 500 interviews! On tap Jim McGee, Crew members from Helios team 2019, The car builders at Skillman Museum, Ray Skillman, a tour guide for Indy 500!!!! So much great content for this trip. If you have not yet done so, check out the Paul Page interview. It is among my favorites to date. He even took me for a ride in his Ferrari!!!

He was given opportunities because of his family and name that others just never get. Not saying he was not a good race car driver. And I know not all who were given opportunities in the same fashion succeeded like he did.
