I was one of the pilots that flew you down! Glad you enjoyed the trip. Shame about the tv screens. Tails 781-783 have no tv as they’re old Skywest birds.
@@gargalfargl I dont think they will. I believe the company that does the after market tv screens no longer does them for the RJ and the only way to get them in there is fresh from the factory.
Cool video. I’ll be flying back from Brisbane next year, business class first on Philippine Airlines to Vancouver then down on the Air Canada Express CRJ to San Diego. Looks like I have plenty to look forward to
That’s the one thing that’s so awesome about Air Canada, they have seat back TVs on a lot of their regional jets. Some of Air Canada’s CRJs have seat back TVs & all of their Embraer’s(E175s & E190s)
Lol, you hate school’s rice. I cook rice for long time. It’s great food!! I had flying with CRJ once. From Newark to St. Louis back to Newark.... No meal....snack and drink only..... You’re lucky that you got nice meal. You did fabulous job with your video!!!!
I never have liked the CRJ's window arrangement--window,gap,window,gap.....looking at the coach seating,it would be difficult to do any filming but your business class window setup looked fine. A hot meal in a CRJ? Miracles never cease to amaze! After 3 flights on AC in one day,you still had the drive home, hope you didn't fall asleep behind the wheel! Interesting that AC being a Star Alliance partner, parks at the AA gates,AA being a oneworld carrier--what's up with that upside down tarmac view?
CRJ900's have a much longer range than the CRJ705's, and the phase out of the ERJ190's were the two big reasons that the CRJ900's were brought online. I flew on either a CRJ705 or CRJ900 back in 2015 YYZ to YQY, I can't remember much, other than I was drinking a lot of rum that day because I was travelling with my sister
The Jazz CRJ-705 was the exact same plane as the CRJ-900, no difference in range. As stated in the video, the difference was only 1 seat in the cabin, for a scope clause which was recently changed and those 705s converted to 900s. You may be confusing the CRJ-705 with the CRJ-700 which is a different airframe entirely (smaller).
You made no mention of the Dash-8-400Q at Gate 86. I have never seen one in the US. Very pretty and rare down in the lower 48 (Horizon Air flys them for Alaska Air commuter flights.)
Thanks so much for this awesome trip report! We are looking at a YVR-SAN flight this summer. Was the cabin well air conditioned (not stuffy)? I worry with these smaller planes and feeling a little claustrophobic or hot. Thanks!
Great review. My only CRJ experiences have been domestic US and it's the worst plane I've ever flown on. I love Embraer, so it's nice to know I could come to love CRJs with the right carrier.
okay, i am going on the air canada mitsubishi crj900 (9e) plane. but i have a feeling our planes gonna crash, bc i never flown on a jet before and it looks weird like its gonna crash or something. what im saying if you dont understand is, im predicting i might crash.
Air Canada hasn’t had a fatal plane crash in decades, and the crj 900s is also one of the Safests planes out there. Keep in mind also that turbulence itself has never caused a plane to go down, while yes it is very uncomfortable, it’s not in any means a way for you to crash. I promise you that you’re in safe hands with 2 very highly trained pilots
flew in a crj900 today and it was a nightmare. For a tall person, that plane was a claustrophobic nightmare. I felt like i was about to freak out the entire flight.
Dear Emil: Early in the vid you said you were flying home. Would one, ( hello dude...that would be me ) be correct in postulating that San Diego IS your home ?!
@@ITripReport thank you. It is helpful information to decipher where you go and when. I don't know how you caught the aviation bug but I am glad you do. I dated a lady in college who was a travel agent and caught to bug to go places but not necessarily about the planes. I love that you share this knowledge. Thank you and please keep up the great work. RD. Smile here.
I fly the RJ900 all the time, as the closest airport to me is a small regional airport. Delta calls that first class. If I have the money, that's usually what I fly, or Delta Plus. I usually get a free upgrade to Delta Plus, because I'm in a wheelchair, so I don't fit in economy. I enjoy the RJs a great deal. I find them quite comfortable, zippy little jets. Except for the 200s! The 200s are EVIL! I don't know ANYBODY that likes them. The 200s are not only flying deathtraps, but they are Inquisition style torture machines, too. I have been begging Delta for over a year now to get rid of them! I don't know what possessed them to retire out the 700s but not the 200s. There was definitely a serios error in judgment there! I look forward to trying out an A220, but so far, they're only based out of the NY big 3, and I tend to avoid those airports like the plague. Hartfield might be the busiest airport in the world, but at least it's run very efficiently, which is more than I can say for JFK, laGuardia or Liberty. If they have any A220s out of Hartfield, I'll try it out there instead.
That title is gold tho.

Man I love watching itripreport vdieo
Thanks for the great report. I had been looking forward to the 3rd leg of your AC voyage! You did not disappoint! I'm glad you had a great trip.

YVR is a nice airport. The seat in business looks nice for a regional plane. 5 minutes for de-icing is really fast too.

Awesome video man! As always I loved it!!!

Seemed to be a pretty neat meal for a two hour flight ☝🏾 regional carrier 🤗nice🙏🏾
The Captain who flew u down to SAN flew me to Dallas from YVR back in November of 2019!!
Looks relaxing and wonderful; going to fly to Milwaukee from Philadelphia early June
You should try the China Airlines flight from Ontario like SANspotter. Though maybe in a bit of a while... Also, 13:47, woops
planedudea380 shhhh... maybe people didn’t notice 🙃
General Tso's Chicken is amazing. Nice to see Air Canada has it on some of their menus
Keep up the good work on ur video’s bro I like them and good info
The idea of screens on a crj baffles me, but is welcome
