    Very nice review! Just wondering, how did you find which fin had which layout? I have had a hard time finding which A330 still have the old config, I know its just a few, I found a flyertalk forum before but can't get clarity which has the new cabin now. We are on a PE flight on one in April.
    Other question, is any stat alliance business class ticket get you into the United Club? Thought the big 3 had weird loungs rules. Thanks for another amazing review!

    • @tfft

    I m used to love flying Air Canada, not so much now. It was lovely, economy was lovely, hot towels, real cutlery and china, large, flavorful meals. Not anymore. Economy feels like you are in a holding bin. They also charge for crummy food in economy.
    Toronto airport has become a nightmare, lost luggage, long lines. I navigate it easier than most as I need a wheelchair. The only joy is people watching.

    Hello, we have flown CRJ several times, but for us it is a flight from our city of Poznań in Poland to Frankfurt am Main to then fly to Cancun, the flight with this plane is ok for this route, i.e. about an hour, maybe it would be nice if Lufthnsa had a better service on short European routes. As for Cancun, we stayed at the Secrets the Vine hotel twice and I must admit that each time it was a very successful stay, I would love to see your review of this hotel, do you plan to visit it.

    • @tfft
      @tfft  10 місяців тому +1

      I will be visiting a Secrets this year, but not in Cancun. As for LH service, with their introduction of LufthansaCity, I'm afraid all of those very short routes are just going to see more and more cost cutting measures!

    Kevin there would have been multiple Philadelphia to Toronto flights this was the days when US Airways🇺🇲 was in Star Alliance with Air Canada🇨🇦 which means you would have gotten the larger E-190/E-175s. If you want a proof of that you need a 2010 Hemispheres Magazine or an Enroute Magazine pre US Airways switch to Oneworld Alliance.
    The other way to get into a United Club is getting a non-us based Star Alliance gold that way you are allowed to access it both International and domestic. Example of it is getting the Air Canada Aeroplan🇨🇦 ANA Mileage Club🇯🇵 Austrian🇦🇹 Lufthansa🇩🇪 Miles and More Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus🇹🇭 Asiana Diamond🇰🇷Air China Shenzhen Airlines Phoenix Miles 🇨🇳 Eva Air Infintymileage 🇹🇼and lastly Singapore Airlines Krisflyer🇸🇬 Star Alliance gold tiers.

    • @peterhanssens7260

      @tfft By international travel statistics and international airlines flying to these cities. It's not lol at all. Air Canada is a major airline with a fleet of about 350 planes, Toronto is the 3rd largest IT hub in North America and a major financial hub, including the TSX. Montreal is the 3rd largest commercial aircraft manufacturing hub after Seattle and Toulouse and is the HQ of ICAO and IATA. Toronto is the 4th largest city in North America after Mexico City, NYC, and Los Angeles. The GTA Toronto Metropolitan population is over 7 million and is approaching 8 million. The largest international airline serving the United States is Air Canada in the number of flights and passengers carried. Toronto is a major AI, gaming, and educational centre, including the University of Toronto, with an enrollment of over 60000 students. Canada's immigration policies are of note as last year our population grew by over 1 million and now sits at almost 42 million we are also a major trading country and the World's 10th largest economy soon to pass Italy in total GDP. Why should this surprise you ? Have you been to Toronto lately as overflying it on approach to Toronto Pearson will reaffirm its massive size. Remember I stated international travel and for that both Toronto and Montreal and my home in BC has Vancouver a very important Asia hub. The percentage of Canadians who have passports is quite high. In all honesty, Canada counts. Have a good one.

    • @tfft
      @tfft  2 місяці тому

      You are of course entitled to your opinion. For me, I simply rank aiports by the data. Last year, ranked by international passangers, there was no airport in North America in the top 10. YYZ certainly does have many airlines flying to it, 52 of them. Bankok Suvarnabhumi has 113. Toronto is an important major hub for North America- especially for Canada- just not by the metrics I typically follow. Thanks for watching 🩴
