Lotus espirit Turbo challenge, Jimmy whites snooker & speedball 2 were probably my faves of the Amiga days!
Jimmy whites snooker...pure bliss
@@robertsinnott9325 yeah, amazing game back in my school days! lol.
I can still hear the laughter of my Super Nintendo owning friend when he witnessed the Amiga 500 Mortal Kombat 2 pit scene.
For me in no particular order: Lotus 2, Secret of Monkey Island, Mortal Kombat, Soccer Kid, Superfrog, Arabian Nights, Yo Joe, Crazy Cars III, Flight of the Amazon Queen and Desert Strike. Possibly Chaos Engine too.
Sensible Soccer - Cannon Fodder - Crazy Football - Wings - ET's Rugby League - Stuntcar racer - were great games
Aw stunt car racer was amazing
I agree with this list. Monkey Island is a masterpiece: the artwork, the screenplay, story, everything... You cant make better game with the latest 3d technology as you cant replicate Tolkien's prose. There are certain pieces of art that are timeless...
Speedball and sensible soccer different class!
Sensible world of soccer was such a favorite. Speedball was incredible
Prince of Persia: The game on Amiga, I´ve spent the most hours with. Thanx for that, Jordan Mechner! 😀
Speedball 2, Xenon 2 Megablast, North and South, Pinball dreams, Kick Off 2, Shadow of the Beast.
Speedball 2 was awesome game. I purchased that for my mega drive and still play it to this day . Bitmap brothers made some good games for the Amiga . Also I think it was called Alien Breed that was good 😁
@@gamingtherapy7587 those games were superb!
Kick off 2 & sensible soccer, great times! I loved Lotus espirit Turbo challenge too!
Sensible software
@nylonlin that was a decent game!
Every one I expected to be in there was in there. Brought back some memories! Nice one!
Pp
Prince of Persia, Lionheart, Mr Nutz, Bundesliga Manager Hattrick, Lemmings 2, Gods, Sensible Soccer, Die Siedler, Oxyd, Pinball Dreams
Edit: Speedball 2 and everything from the Bitmap Brothers as a honorable mention
Another World was great but Flashback was the best non-Sensible game. SWOS and Cannon Fodder runaway winners.
DUNGEON MASTER!!!!!!
At Least ! Thanks...
Definitely in my top ten. I still play it 😅
It’s just impossible to make a Top10 Amiga Games list, because there were at least 30 Games deserving to be Top10
like.... populous... or magic pockets
When you put Mortal Kombat in the top 10
I almost clicked away and I said to myself if monkey Island isn’t number 1 I’m gonna be very very upset!
I spent so much of my life as a kid playing amiga 500. These aren't the best games... lemmings James pond chaos engine were worthy.. games like techno cop, pow, magic pockets, lotus espirit challenge,r type,Rick dangerous, international karate +. Just to name what I can think of right now😀and also xenon. The music in some of these games was blisss:)

Lotus 2
Dungeon Master
Rocket Ranger
Lemmings
Turrican 2
Eye of the Beholder
Speedball 2
Wings
It Came From The Desert
Hunter
These are in no order, Dungeon Master probably takes number one, though. So many great games. That list is just of the games I put the most time into.
I loved Hunter.
Missing Jaguar XJ220 or Lotus, Sensible Soccer, Ports of Call, USS John Young, North vs South, Moonstone, Zool, Cabal, Dessert Strike, damn, Amiga had so many great games
Missing C U N aT and DIY
DIY. MOD version. Making the world a shiz place...
YAWN.
TLDR: logic comment > profit, YT remove.
Carrier command. Yes.
Twats at Google. LOL...
TLDR: YT/Google deleted evolution.
Dessert Strike sounds fun :D
@@fourdee4d Lay off the drugs man,
Boo! Hiss! For not using actual Amiga footage of all the games!
I spent months playing Turrican. The best game in my eyes.
Eye of the beholder, lotus esprit turbo challenge, dragon's breath, turrican 2, chaos engine - loved those games.
No.5 game on this list,"The Chaos Engine",looks like Alot of Fun to Play.
SWOS, Speedball 2, Microprose F1 and Syndicate are the glaring omissions for me
Any top 10 is hard for the Amiga but I would probably agree with all of those, and perhaps add The Settlers, Civilization, Colonization, Railroad Tycoon and Historyline as contenders too (I suppose it depends if you like strategy games :) all of those four have flaws but overall were huge fun). Oh, and Worms! Mortal Kombat was a decent port (which we rarely got on the Amiga in terms of fighting games) but I wouldn't say it was one of the best ever on the Amiga. IK+, though primitive in its graphics compared to the early 90s beat'em'ups, was a very fun game and would be a better candidate for a top 10 game than MK in my opinion.
Syndicate totally forgot about the, amazing for it’s time
So much love here
Ruff n tumble, soccer kid, silk worm, lotus chalenge, settlers 2, cool spot.... Many many more
Technocop, Stuntcar racer, Street rod 1&2 ,Test Drive 1&2 TV Sports Football, just to name a few more
Mamma mia che ricordi risalgono alla mente..quanto pagherei per tornare bambino😢😢
Robocod, Turrican, Monkey Island, so many great memories.
Plutos, Sinbad, Persian Gulf, Summer Olympics, Winter Olympics, Rocketeer, Defender of the crown, 3 Stooges. Marble Madness
Where is Lotus Turbo Challange ?
ok got to ask, is there a way to change the power to an amiga that uses less electricity. We still have ours but when using it the electric meter pretty much spins so fast it takes off
Alien Breed 2, Hired Guns, Ruff n Tumble, Disposable Hero, Syndicate, Speedball 2,
Exakt das waren sie. Dankeschön für das treffende Video.
Sports: Beach Volley, International Soccer, NBA, Player Manager.
Action: Budokan, Street Fight, SWAT, Lost Patrol (amazing graphs)
and there was one with a space ship that you would add modules each level that I can’t remember the name.
Lotus 1-3 are the only racing games that are arcade quality (zero frame drops) so you only need to make a top 3 mate
This was a decent list overall. Obviously you got a few right such as Turrican 2, Another World, Lemmings, and James Pond... but a few of those games on your list were certainly questionable for my taste namely Rainbow Islands... but take Dune 2 for example. A great game no doubt... killer game... but it was better on the 256 VGA PC's at the time AND as an Amiga strategy game was it better, or rather was it more "AMIGA" at the time than say, the game ... Meglomania? I don't think so I would have included Meglomania as a strategy game. Obviously Speedball 2 is missing here too and IMO the best "2 player" Amiga game of all time
And I'll be honest... a few games that really seemed exceptional to me and took a lot of my time and were missed here were...
1) WINGS(Easily Cinemaware's best ever game...with the aid of a well written story, they made playing the same 3 mini games over and over and over seem like a reward)
2) Populous/Populous 2(Bullfrog's flagship game series that was just as addictive as crack cocaine, yet 100x more affordable and with zero regret),
3) Powermonger(another Bullfrog masterpiece and probably 15 years ahead of it's time as a game concept... if Populous was being played by the masses, Powermonger most assuredly was best enjoyed by Sociopaths... no question. If you never played this game you missed out)
Some honorable mentions IMO include...
Pirates
IK+
Hired Guns
Dungeon Master
SWIV
F/A-18
I love that this vid has generated so much feedback. Good one.
I agree. Another World might be the best Amiga game ever... but not having an Amiga growing up (only C64, and then 286) I was always envious of my mate that had MYST, I'd never seen graphics like that before, and I thought it was the pinnacle of what the Amiga system could do. Granted not the most exciting game, but still. Also agreed Speedball 2 is a great game (not sure if I played it on C64 or 286 though) ... but majorly addictive. You're user name ain't that bad either ... many hours I spend on RickD2... many.. many hours.
Lemmings, James Pond II (Robocod) and Turrican II showed as Amiga games are not on Amiga (sound is very different on Amiga).
I am 46 years old now 😊
DUNE (OF COURSE)
Lotus 1
Speedball
Jaguar xj 220
Another World
Test Drive 1 2
Mortal Kombat
SWOS, Microprose Golf and Grand Prix, Beneath a steel sky, dessert strike ❤
Speedball 2 Brutal Deluxe???
Strange having a Megadrive game, Sonic The Hedgehog as background music.
Winter Games is unbeaten IMO. And something most possibly not as well known outside of europe, Ports of Call! Best Tycoon game ever.
Ports of call was amazing ! And Future Wars, I don't often see it mentioned.
-Too many one player games.
-The only one player games I remember liking were the three stooges, mostly because it was more like watching a sitcom while you play, and autoduel, because it took weeks to really build up your little car franchise. Otherwise, I'd rather go outside than sit in front of a computer.
-The two player Bubble bobbles were all good though.
-I was never a Mortal Kombat kind of person, but I've played a few rounds of that and Double Dragon with friends at Straw Hat Pizza back in the day--controller issues made them feel degraded on my Amigas.
-If you're a sports fan EARL WEAVER BASEBALL is the GREATEST video game of all time in my opinion (and I've owned 100s of baseball games), despite unfortunately never being finished product until the PC where it stunk.
-TV Sports football was fun and groundbreaking for stats fans as well, although if you have a single fast receiver you can score 250+ a game against the AI.
-Omni-play (Magic Johnson) basketball is also a groundbreaking, very playable franchise mode game.
-For quick play without the stat geek, fast break basketball is one of the best arcade style games I've played on the Amiga.
-Speedball or Speedball 2 usually, deservedly makes every list, and it can be a fun sporty game, including even some stats.
-If you're not into sports, PORTS OF CALL is one of the simplest GREAT multiplayer franchise mode games ever made.
-Populous 2 is always fun for an overnight gaming binge with a friend.
-No list is complete without the Archons, which two can play together for days.
-I know it wasn't as geeky as some of the later golf games, but Mean 18 was an entertaining party game with personality when friends stay over for more than a couple of days.
-Ebonstar never gets enough credit for sucking in a crowd of nongamers to sit around and play while talking away an afternoon...into the night.
To add competition, some of my favorites:
Millennium 2.2, Super Cars 2, Space Crusade, Wings, Stunt car racer, Pirates!, Formula 1 grand prix, Wing Commander 1, speedball 2, sensible soccer.
Monkey Island and Civilization were great but I'd pick them up with PC instead 👍
This is not all Amiga verisions. Its easy to hear if it is Amiga sounds/music. You have obviously just found 6 bit versions and put this together. I hear both Atari ST and MegaDrive sounds here. Amiga is much better....
good job
Robocod (James Pond II) was awesome..
Nice list !!!
Max Smarts Thanks :)
*Worms and Eye of the Beholder 1-2*
Worms yes, hired guns, elite, rodland, pang , love two players or more. Mega blast could play 6 people all at once on one amiga.
Rick dangerous 2 anyone?
Yes yes my mannnnn
i used it for desktop video production
The greatest top ten software games ever and join the club 😊👍
Hey guys someone please help me out.. i'm trying to learn about this/these systems and their games with the idea to pick one from ebay.. so when the list just says best "amiga games".. is it amiga 500, amiga 1200 amiga 1000 or what? There's so many different models...
All games shown here are Amiga 500, which is the entry level model. Amiga 1000 is the new name of the original "Amiga" from 1985, it's rare and usually not affordable, you'll need to buy extra RAM too. A1200 would be the best all around model since it has improved graphics that (when used properly) can match arcade games in number of screen colors (check the Rygar port, and also Fightin' Spirit), and can easily use hard disks and CF cards. It's powerful and if properly equipped it can run 1st person shooters like the classic Doom.
@@pacpacfujishima Hey man thanks a lot for your reply. When you talk about entry level and best all around model, and improved graphics, it's making me wonder- Is it kinda more like a pc situation in that the later model can play all the games but improve the graphics of games that came out on the earlier machine, or is it a more console-like situation where there are there Amiga 500 games for the Amiga 500 and 1200 games for the 1200 etc? (I could've asked is it backwards compatible, but I guess this would be more than that if it does indeed improve the graphics as well as just play them)?
@@sco9616 Exactly, it's a personal computer and should be handled like that, in an ideal world. There's a lot of games with slowdown or frame drop if you play on the entry level Amiga 500, but run smoothly on the Amiga 1200 (R-Type II, 3d polygon games, Walker etc). Walker also has improved sound on Amiga 1200 such as voice over/radio chat.
It was not 100% backwards compatible as some games needed patching to run on newer models but today basically everything is patched with a tool called WHDLoad. Most of the games were developed for the entry level Amiga 500 because it was the most profitable and popular (ie cheapest). But the few games that were Amiga 1200-only are excellent, like Slam Tilt pinball, Simon The Sorcerer, Banshee, Rygar and Roadkill.
Some games indeed have two versions, the so called "AGA version" is for Amiga 1200 (its chipset is called AGA) and have improved graphics. Games like Brian the Lion, Fire and Ice, Fightin' Spirit and Shadow Fighter are in this category, should look for "AGA" on the name.
Nowhere near my top 10. You have an obvious theme to your liking.
missing Speedball 2, lotus racing and RoboCop 3
Price of Persia is not a "side-scrolling" game. It is flick-screen. At no point does it scroll the screen.
robocod ,dune II pc version ,fm sounds
Faery Tale Adventure? Ports of Call? Oil Imperium? Bundeliga Manager Hattrick?
I too love mortal kombats babalities.
Champ man
Where's Strider, R-Type and others.
i need to know all those game to add it in my emulator
Where was Simon the sorcerer 2 😩
Have you ever heard for "slap fight"?
Ports of call, it came from the desert, pinball fantasies
Probably 10 games that the author had because there were better ones. Like Reunion. How can anyone say that "sequel to bubble-bobble" is a better game than complex adventure strategy game. Amiga even had UFO although it was very frustrating to play.
Lost patrol... International karate +. Rickdangerous
I miss Blood money, Hybris, Kick Off 2 and my favorite Escape from Colditz
No Giana Sisters!? Come on...
Where is Cannon Fodder 1&2 ?
yep rick dangerous also god of war was very nice ...
Paperboy
Combat Air Patrol
Sensible Soccer
Lotus Turbo Challenge ?!
BRUTAL SPORTS FOOTBALL WAS THE BEST
Kick Off/Player Manager? Defender of the crown?
It came from the desert, shufflepuck, lotus, testdrive
Hey! You showed the megadrive Version of James pond 2 RoboCop not the Amiga version. The Amiga version has much better music and those famous rainbow copper backgrounds.
And Frontier
Where is Sensible Soccer, Speed ball 2, Project X and Pinball fantasy?
Mortal Kombat 2 looks like a Gameboy Color game..
Note the first 3 digits that are entered at ~ 0:43
How can you show games that clearing are not on an Amiga and play sonic music as the background music!
Where's Agony?
Whilst I respect this is your list, and therefore subjective, and not wrong.. There are a few actual issues. Music is from a megadrive/genesis game... Lemmings isn't the Amiga version, I'd also say Robocod isn't the Amiga version, sound is very poor... Very poor!
If Cannon Fodder is in honourable mentions and there is no Moonstone or Super Frog or North and South then you know there is something wrong with the list.
Wow, North and South was killer, and Moonstone yeah, and Super Frog haha
@@LightninBolt I would disagree with Superfrog, I was never greatly impressed by it. I played a demo and it was competent but uninspiring to me. Not much of a platform fan but I rate Zool far higher than Superfrog.
You could at least use the Amiga versions of the game when showing a top 10 Amiga games list.
At least Flashback, Cannon Fodder, James Pond 2, Bubble Bobble and Lemmings aren't the Amiga versions being shown here.
And Warlords.
Lemmings is not amiga version
I think the order is inverted
Alkaloid 2: revenge of doh, North & South.
Here Italy........ Where is the fantastic videogames : Super frog, Sensible Soccer 1996/1997 , Chuck rock 1 and 2 , Lotus turbo challenge ??????????????????????
And lemmings 2: the tribes.
are people supposed to be able to read the text? sorry i don't read 30 pages per second
Wings ???
Odlična grafika za '90 ....
Bogami '80te
That Rainbow Islands is the Atari ST version, not Amiga.
Same for Bubble Bobble.
You forgot Thunderhawk!

And where's Superfrog?
Blood Money
Where is Kick Off???? And Sensible Soccer? And Speedball????????
lemmings was adictive
i liked falcon& battle chess + the gods,d-paint,turbo silver,jdk post ,broadcast titler,
I loved syndicate and cannon fodder as well as lemmings. all great games
