What's your favorite Xzibit song? Do you think he's underrated as an MC?
HipHopDX hes got too many. Paparazzi, foundation, eyes may shine... and that’s just from his debut. Definitely underrated. Give his flowers whilst he can smell em
Front 2 back, been a long time, X, D.N.A, Rimz & Tirez, best of things, get your walk on, multiply, my name, beware of us, criminal set, hey now, big barking (interlude), tough guy.
Xzibit is definitely underrated! You can’t have a west coast tribute without him being involved. I feel he needs more recognition on his songs, especially his restless album cause the whole album is a classic.
paparazzi or front 2 back. I stil see that music video in the back with the low riders bouncing with X standing in the cars.
HipHopDX hey is Xzibit on that wall?
What u see is what u get! Plus it has a classic music video!
One of the most likable guys in hip hop
@hafizul faizal I think he didnt start really sellin like that til his 3rd or 4th album which was Restless.
@hafizul faizal 40 Dayz n 40 Nights, & At the speed of Life were his first 2
Only in hip hop? In the fucking world period. Always have been and always will be a fan of X and his music and movies.. but his personality and humour outshines all that for me. He’s an awesome dude. One of my idols. Definite OG.
He really nice as person he's nice on the mic he's funny 😂 always waned a song between xzibit and dmx
Ur right man! He seems like such a cool ass dude to kick it and talk with! I love Xzibit’s music and he’s a badass actor too!
Xzibit definitely gets over looked. It’s nice to see a rapper who has matured and can hold a conversation and not still trying to portray a thug image over the age of 25
He gets overlooked because he wasn’t much to be remembered.. , liked his music back in the early 2000s , grew up on it , was good for the time period , but he left no lasting impact..
@@QFilmz Hah, that's silly man. 'Didn't leave any impact'? A good portion of his music was about being a better person and doing what it took to stand up for your people. Not only that, but his flow is better than a lot of rappers of today. I don't know what you listen to so I can't just assume things, but I'd like to ask you to actually think on that for a moment of what you're saying.
Lex Prailius I remember when he dropped his album restless in 2000 , that’s when he was at the top , his music video “X” was on MTV music on repeat , I grew up on him , but he was just a “2000” rapper , not much to be remembered other then for nostalgia , it’s not like he’s 2pac Shakur , one of his great songs was called “spit shine” on the 8mile album , check it out , I have memories listening to him , but I’m just saying he’s in nobody’s top 5 list that’s for sure..
Q Well, he’s in my top 5 at least. To me, he changed my life with what he rapped about and his on point flow that he went about doing it. There’s a lot of conscious rappers out there for sure, but Xzibit to me stands out easily that goes out and ‘does it’ kinda guy. Same with his energy, it’s always Do or Die and I’m like that to a T. I feel you though, he can’t be everybody’s favorite. But the only new people these days I even like that come close to Xzibit to me is Joyner Lucas.
Idk what you smoking but I hear hip hop fans talking about Xzibit all the time.
"I never ask anyone to do anything that I wouldn't do myself" the words of a humble individual.
Jake Gyllenhaal?
Now the question is: what would he do himself? Xzibit great guy.
lmao i love this mans laugh and facial expression.. he always got me crackin up when i see
What’s the difference between me and you? About 5 bank account, 3 ounces and 2 vehicles!
Until ma death I’m Bangladesh, I suggest you hold yo breath till ain’t none left, yo that’s the difference
One of the hardest verses since then! That specific bar hits hard erytime lol 💯🦾
Exactly right they know not to confuse the shit, Angel kingdom standup.
I forgot about this song with Em
MoneyBoy YB and ima just continue flow while rockin the boat probably smoke three hundred thousand dollars of dope don’t let my desert eagle barrel touch the back of your throat that’s the hardest verse
Pplz sleep or unaware of how dope of an emcee xzhibit is !!! He was and is a serious artist !!! Props
Facts💯
Him, Defari and the likwit crew!
This dude man....
He is one of the reasons I fell in love with hip hop at about the age of 15 when that Restless album dropped.
Straight fire
I agree, the first time I heard paparazzi I was hooked
One of the best albums of my childhood
Bars after bars...
That Restless album was a banger, from start to finish, classic
Genuinely the nicest most humble man in hip hop and definitely in my top 10, he's phenomenal
@belsebub noncristen Fuck yeah I couldn't agree more fantastic comment 👏👌👍👊
Crazy how damn under-rated he is. 96 to 02 he was 🔥

Don’t understand how xzibit was not up there with Dre. He has so many great songs and no one gives him the recognition for that.
B O S S Did you watch the interview dude? 🤦♂️ He left the music industry.
Xzibit stay versatile with million dollar lifestyle
It's why Xzibit only roll with a chosen few...
You ain't really real, I can tell when I look at you ...
And I can feel it as a child growing up
“Ease off the trigga talk”
@@luismendoza6983 you just skipped 4 lines, now why'd you wanna go and do that love huh? In a relationship been faithful to a nigga so wack, say why you wanna go and do that and do that? hey
X is a great dude. Wish him and his family the best!!
The only artist I ever wanted to meet was Xzibit. When I did, he took the time to look me in the eye, listen to what I was saying and genuinely appreciated that I appreciated his work. An incredible artist and an exceptional man. A real one.
I met this dude around 2010 when he was doing the Home Makeover show when they came to Oklahoma. He was super down to earth and was the only person from the show that didn’t stay in their trailer with security guarding them. He was actually out their working and getting his hands dirty. I carried several sheets of plywood with him in like shin deep mud. Super friendly and did not act like a celebrity at all. He was so cool I didn’t even want to ask him for a picture.
Many people claim Dr. Dre gets to much credit for producing yet many artists have had their careers explode successfully because of Dr. Dre. Xzibit, The Game, Eminem, King Tee, The DOC and Knocturnal.
Russell Adams I agree..Don’t forget Snoop Dogg and Kendrick too man..Dre is responsible for a lot of shit in hip hop
All the people that say Dr. Dre doesn't actually produce doesn't realize that one of a producers talents is finding and grooming talent
@@thesemfnnutts Eazy E said it "My homie Dre is a doctor not a lawyer dope MC employer. "
Russell Adams you could even put 50 cent under him aswell
Dres production sucks tho lol
I see the video, i think it´s maybe 3 min long like all the others.
I realize it´s 55 min, i smile and keep listening. Living legend right there!
"At the speed of life" is one of the best Hip-Hop albuns of all time. Fight me
Where do you wanna fight?
Probably not top 20, most definitely top 50.
@Jake Williams opinions are like assholes mate, we all got one
Albun?
Think You Been Punched Too Much Already
I was actually crying when he was talking about Pimp My Ride 😂😂😂
I DIDNT FIX SHIT
Great interviewer.
This is one of the most inspirational interviews I have watched in a long time. I have picked some key statements from X that are definitely gonna change my life. Thanks.
"Nice guys last the longest" best quote I've heard in my 30 years on earth. Every day is a school day.
I think Jeremy’s laughter adds flavour to these interviews
one of the best interviews i've seen. questions were on point and you let X speak. very dope.
This is so important! Thanks for the upload
I have too many favorite Xzibit songs, but I'm glad to see this interview. He's not just an underrated MC, I feel he's one of the best of all time. Growing up, I didn't have much to look forward to and I was a really angst kinda kid, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with myself and things were looking pretty bleak.
Then I came across Xzibit from Def Jam Fight For NY and 25 to Life and ever since then I had been hooked on his whole catalog of music. I remember since highschool, a lot of conversation of who was the best at the time as far as music was concerned kept getting brought up and I threw my hat in the ring all the time saying 'Xzibit', and people would laugh or say his stuff was too conscious for them. But to me, that's exactly what I wanted, it was music I needed to hear, not just then, but now! I listen to at least one of his tracks every single day for that motivation not to procrastinate and do something.
Funny thing is, I don't look up to many people on this Earth, I fell into that 'wounded' category where I can't really trust people after so many times of getting burned. But even now, this dude is giving me inspiration to try and be a better person and change my ways. When he mentioned about being vindictive and bitter, I felt that, I felt that pretty deep. I'm a leader and help a lot of people (trying to be like Xzibit and Immortal Technique) but somewhere along the way I lost faith in pretty much everything and just went with the motions of helping people just out of reflex, all the while complaining and blaming this and that on this and that and constantly telling people about my frustrations. I just recently learned that lesson that he mentioned that he saw from a Tweet/Instagram post, about 'nobody cares about your problems' and it's 100% true.
You gotta get up and take care of all that shit like a man! Whatever you're going through, take it to the chin and move forward. Grit your teeth and push through it and one day when you look back you'll think that was a really rough patch you went through, but you did it, and without dragging other people into misery with you along the way. Starting off, you never realize you're doing this, but you hear it all the time. Misery loves company. You never know that it's YOU they're talking about until usually it's too late and you lose everybody around you. Man what a life lesson to learn. There's only 3 people I want to meet in my entire lifetime, and that's Michael Jai White, Xzibit, and Immortal Technique. I pray I get to meet all 3 and be friends or at least associates with them one day.
Restless is a westcoast classic!!!
KobiKo I actually remember buying the cd when it came out. Literally going to download it straight after watching this interview!
definitely

Great interview...can’t wait for the coffe book and golden state project
Boondocks Pimp my Ride episode with Xzibit was dope, crazy to think he could be so open on not really being real on the mechanic tip, that’s bona fide character. Love this man for announcing the comment on the show being dead honest about being a novice and the exposure industry, in actuality. 8 mile too what a cameo for a rapper to actor, that’s an artist. I loved his tracks with strong arm steady, a true master of ceremony.
Lol he was a rapper that played as an actor on 8 mile, big stretch
Paparazzi is the reason I got into hip hop as an 11 year old! X is a legend
I wish alot more channels broke down the interviews like you guys an the questions aren't just basic ones I dig this keep it goin
this interviewer sounds exectly like he looks unlike vlad
You can just hear that he's gay

Good to see Xzibit doing his thing! Cool interview, been a fan for a long time.👍👍
One of my biggest influences growing up. Who X is as a human being is truly inspirational. Dropped some serious gems here.
Yo props to this interviewer bro. I've been waiting for someone to talk about "The Greatest Day In Hip Hop History" in an interview ever since I 1st heard about it. Also, there's so much enthusiasm in his voice asking these questions. You can tell he was excited for this one.
I'm so haply to see xzibit still talking about some real shit very humble I'm glad that I picked him b4 the internet took over Like one of my fav...
Good interview always liked xzibit
A living legend! Real Og !

X is the man - and I love Double Barrel. Dope collab!

Very much appreciate how he tells the story of picking himself up again and how to navigate that. A lot of people don't like to talk about when they fail. This is very inspiring. That's whassup X to the Z!
The man seems extremely genuine. How can you not appreciate that?
I dont know how but you guys get them rappers in a comfortzone where they just be vibing! Your Interviews are some of its own. Like Nardwuars but different. Love it!!!
Watching xzibit interviews nowadays are so refreshing, this guy was so much fun back in the 2000s
I love Xzibit!!

I’m so impressed by XZibit’s poise and demeanor here. Seems like a humble, articulate, jovial guy. So glad I got to discover this side of him.
X a legend. Can't wait for his next projects.
Yo this is a much needed interview. Perfect!! Informative and Entertaining at the same damn time.
I went to a DOOM/Kweli show. Talib brought out X and Strong Arm Steady, and they blew it up. Loved it.
This is one of the best rapper interviews I've seen. Very down to earth/real
He's so dope, hope he puts a new album out soon!
"Don't use desperation as a point for motivation" Real shit!!
Great interview! Xzibit dropping knowledge. His Take on Pimp my Ride had me in stitches!
Xzibit is one of my all time favorites and he is underrated af. Dude is a monster on the mic.
You can see what drove Xzibit to rapping by pretty much EVERY LINE OF HIS CAREER. The wittyness, the poetry and how it connects with the beat and the sound of the voice, none did it better in my book
Xzibit should speak at high schools for real though! Real spill!
Xzibit was very underrated as a MC and lyricist... He was one of the best MCs out the west loved his style and how he attacked beats he brought a different sound to hip hop and def raised the bar.
Truth and knowledge from a Legend... hats off to a great one 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
such a humble dude, seems like he is very genuine.
Got love for Xzibit..his song Paparazzi hits home wit me when my life was on n poppin during the 90s in L.A. and in The Bay....back in the day✌😎

I tend not to care for interviews but this was fantastic! Great interviewer and editing was top notch. X is a very interesting guy, glad I came across this 👍🏽
"What you see is what you get" video was Epic
Epic!
It was directed by an adult film director if I'm not mistaken.
And people think that the "This is America" by Childish Gambino was revolutionary. What? Xzibit did this 20 years earlier!
"Paparazzi" is still one om my favourite joints ever!
