Stanz saying with the utmost confidence that you should definitely ration out water and not just drink it when youre thirsty despite being wrong... and then less than 10 seconds later saying "drinking when you are thirsty is super obvious" is an absolute power move. That way you can never truly be wrong.

Well to be fair, when I thought of rationing it out, I was like: “yeah, drink when you’re thirsty, not just because you want to drink” although looking back… why would you want to drink something if you’re not thirsty xD
He was saying you should drink when thirsty but that is rationing it out by only drinking when thirsty

@@superqmod696 Well, there's a difference between drinking because you're thirsty, and drinking because you're hot. Like, if I'm out on a hot day, I might not be thirsty but I'll still chug some water every once in a while to feel like I'm cooling down
stanz you should NOT RATION YOUR WATER. its easy to know when you're hungry then starving, but there's no signs from dehydrated --> dying. your mind will fail you faster than you realise. please if you get into a survival situation do not ration your water reserves. (4 years survival training, father was in USAF)

I would just say dont chug all your water at once
The minimum water you need to survive is not negotiable. If you're hungry you can wait it out until your body starts burning stored fat, but you don't have stores of excess water in your body. When you're thirsty your body is telling you "hey, we're running low, drink something". If you don't drink your water you're just getting dehydrated sooner, which is not an optimal survival state.

@@devinosland359 Not really. He's being a contrarian to the replies on that reddit thread. "Not rationing out water? No that must be bad!" and "Yeah drink when you're thirsty, who knew!" are both making fun of the reddit replies. I think he just didn't understand that "drink when thirsty" implies some amount of rationing, but not the excess of rationing that leads to people dying of thirst when they still had water.

The idea that you will survive longer by rationing your water feels the same as saying you will drive farther in a car by only filling the tank 1/4 at a time.

@@akulaasonen1065 does it really weigh so much there is a realistic difference? Also, if we are counting the added weight from gas, then the distance you have to drive extra to be in the gas station probably balances it out no?
@@akulaasonen1065 subpar is right, the weight difference isn't big enough to justify noticing. If you have a ~10 Gallon Gas tank you would save less then half a percent.

A job I was applying for had the generic "promotes a strong work life balance" as one of the reasons to work for them. In the interview I asked them how the company promoted a work life balance like it said in the description. They were silent for a few seconds then filled the silence with some "umm"s and then finally said "we don't actually write the job descriptions. We pay people outside the company to write them so I have no idea what it actually says"
I was still desperate at the time, so I ended up taking the job. I can confidently say, they have no idea what a work life balance is. Fortunately, I only had to be there for 10 months

as a fella who suffers the ailment at 19:00 I told someone and they were disappointed that it didn't look different. So I guess it doesn't matter that much.
I had a friend who's epileptic, it feels wierd how they don't want you to call an ambulance. We still did the first couple times he had seizures around us, but eventually he looked us in the eyes and told us to just let him ride it out next time cause he's used to it.
when people say ration here, they mean "here's your amount of water, do NOT drink more even if you are thirsty," not "don't drink water unless you're thirsty." the former is deadly, the latter is how you survive. i don't think anyone is saying to chug all your water asap, lol

he's still wrong on rationing your water in a survival situation. you can do it with food cause your body can burn your fat stores, but your body doesn't have water stores to turn to
