Wow...I never knew Mr. Enter was this funny. He doesn't really have much comedy in his solo work. Then again, Josh brings out the humor in most of the people he works with.
He's more comically serious.
He's more of a straight man with more dry comedy (common among the more comically attuned Autistics, I'm one), so having a guy like Josh who's more wacky or off the wall helps best.
My guess is Josh wrote the majority of the episode. It happens sometimes with collars like this, where you can tell one reviewer or the other wrote the script.

Oh thank god people do hate this crossover. Josh was extremely annoying and they didn't get along OF COURSE people hated it. I just wish I could find more comments about it because it looks like the section isn't complaining about it at all. Somehow. Enter needs a non collab version of this.

Speaking as someone who has actually had a supposed friend tell me that what I was passionate about doing as a career was stupid and pointless, this episode actually hit very close to home in a very bad way. Having that happen to you is immensely hurtful, and it isn't something you get past easily, especially if you're already insecure about your own work. As a result, I agree with Mr. Enter: It was over-the-top abusive behavior, and Pinkie and Rarity reacted unrealistically well to it.

I see it like this.
Fluttershy does have negative things to say, but she never voiced them for fear of hurting her friends feeling. She has been restrained because she was shy and worried of hurting others.
After IronWill’s assertiveness training, she has finally gained a freedom and power she has not had before. But the line “power corrupts” comes into play here.
She is so empowered and feels so free, and able to finally release everything she held back that she is drowning in the feeling of empowerment to the point she doesn’t realize she has crossed a line.
And she crossed that line when her friends confronted her about it.
Before the assertive lessons, Fluttershy probably held back all those things BECAUSE they were hurtful and knew it would hurt them.
But AFTER the assertive lessons, Fluttershy has become so empowered and free that she could say such things, and not feel how she hurt her friends until after she has had the chance to actually calm herself and look back on what she just did.
Just like in the episode.
I know a lot of people seem to dislike Mr. Enter, but I thought this review was awesome. Like, even if Mr. Enter wasn't as over the top as Josh, that's the point; Josh is supposed to be the wild one, and typically his collab partners will counter or highlight that. That, and Mr. Enter reminds me a lot of my friend Thomas: Logical, composed, inwardly seething with anger and contempt.
The reason I hate him is becomes he has no respect for his Fons and would block anybody who disagrees with him even if it is constrictive criticism. Plus he said trolling and cyber bullying is the same thing and he told his fans "shut the fuck up if you think otherwise" in his trolls review.

The part that saves this episode for me is when Fluttershy looks at her reflection and admits to herself that she's becoming a monster. I relate to this episode because I've been through the same trialls in my own life; I've been pushed down and devalued by bullies for so many years of my life, when it came to relationships with friends on the internet who I thought I could trust, I started to get quite nasty and spiteful in a bid to be assertive. I did so because I felt I had to be so jaded in order to keep myself safe. I have tried to find that balance between avoiding being abused and not being an abuser back, which is more difficult than many give it credit for.
Fluttershy learns from this experience. She demonstrates what I have had to go through, and in the end manages to find that balance. I will admit the pacing is an issue, but at the same time it at least makes some sense why Fluttershy realized how she went much too far.

But awesome review dude! Love it! I personally didn't mind this episode too much despite I hear similar reviews like this about it frequently. I guess I don't mind it and actually embrace it because it told me that the show and writers weren't afraid to take some 'risks' with the characters. I was blindsided by the change of Fluttershy and the tone of everything in the story, that it was actually a refreshing new take for me. Sure it was harsh and even tear jerking... (yes I actually cried seeing Rarity and Pinkie cry), but it still was something new. That alone I'm always happy to see.

I'm very late to the party, but I have ratties too. I just adopted 2 little boys that I'm hoping to introduce to my current boys.
I actually love that scene. The way they react to it is just perfect and I think the way it is build up is great. I also think the moral itself is great as the way the ponies act is very much like how people act in the real world. I think it's episodes like these that push FIM above the MLP stigma. Equestria is not just a peaceful wonderland and there will be ponies that will take advantage of your weakness and strength and aggression can still get the job done.
There is a saying in Dutch that goes: "Gluttonous people own half the world" meaning that the more demanding you are the more you usually get. I think this episode demonstrated that and that kindness will often just leave you getting taken advantage of.
You know what I like about this review? *****'s gags and TheMysteriousMrEnter's down to earth attitude. The two of you just play off each other so well.
Mr. Enter and Firebrand in the same video? Boy, I haven't seen such a good colab since Nostalgia Critic and the AVGN reviewed the 2014 TMNT movie.

As for the episode, I have issues with some of the character's actions in the episode and believe it to be a bit too mean spirited mainly because of Fluttershy taking Iron Will's advise and abusing it. I'm just going to stop there because this is one episode I'm never plan on reviewing because of the big debate over it.

These guys got me through the early, dark days when I lost my wife and daughter to a drunk driver and helped me fight alcoholism. Almost 4 years sober. Looking at this episode as a whole, I had a sudden realisation. If you spend your life being a doormat, and then suddenly you have the courage to be assertive, that’s an entire life’s worth of anger steaming to the top with no filter for once... So even though fluttershy went over the top, it makes sense.
OMG, Josh and Mr Enter doing a collab. That's got to be the best idea ever! Great review you two. A perfect balance of the good, the bad, and the funny. The episode, I believe, has a good story but could have been executed in a much better way.

No, I want to see them be friends again. However, in this particular episode I wanted to see Fluttershy face retribution for her actions. I wanted to see her get some of the wrath that she threw her own friends thrown back at her. She only saw her reflection of her madness in a puddle, she didn't experience her own wrath and feel the pain she dealt to her friends!
This is something I wish Mr. Enter did more in his reviews. Instead of repeating some animation over and over, balance it with showing his emotion on camera. Expression like that can further drive a point or make something funnier.
As a review, I expected no less

Ender Wolf I don't care about this episode, but Dragon Shy better humor, and was more straight to the point with the same lesson, and Fluttershy forgiving the dragon eas enough to show that standing up for yourself is different than being cruel. The Phantom Menace is universally loved and Martin Freeman, Ewan Mcgregor and Pharrel Williams have finally shown signs of aging. Wow, the world has changed XD
Seems most people are talking about Mr. Enter being here rather than the actual review or episode, eh, Mr. Scorcher can collab with whomever he wants as far as I'm concerned. It'll still be funny and Mr. Scorcher plays off others pretty well.
Anyway about the episode, I share pretty the same feelings as Mr. Scorcher, I don't hate it as much as others but I can understand why they do.
Fluttershy is my second favorite and if I want an episode on her learning to be assertive I'll take "It ain't Easy being Breezies".
Missed the Band Wagon Yeah, it's rather strange how it's considered the way it is in the first place. In any case, it's definitely one of the weakest episodes of the show to date, although not the weakest out there (I have a few episodes in mind for that), and It Ain't Easy Being Breezies actually was a better Putting Your Hoof Down, all things considered.
I like Fluttershy's assertiveness in the Breezies episode as well but I think it's made stronger by this episode. Because we have seen her do it wrong it's doubly as satisfying to see her do it right.
Huh...Glad to see that people are willing to collab with Mr.Enter despite his reputation.
