I literally know every word, jump and note of this. I watched it on repeat when I was a teenager. Been trying to find it - so glad the algorithm took me here 😄 thanks for uploading!
The speed of Kelly's tack at 2:08 is insane! 😱 I dreamt of being in this windsurfing paradise, when my reality was a cold murky reservoir outside London. I learnt so much from watching this , and I realise even now how much it has influenced my windsuring - I'm still trying to copy Anders Bringdal's nose ride and the backwinded sailing move, from time to time. Still can't do either successfully though 🤣 Edit: I realise I have now commented on this video twice, such is my enthusiasm 🤣🤣🤣
I also had this video on endless repeat while living in NY usually watching it after a 12-14hr workdays. It was form of therapy, but in 94 my roommates held an intervention and told me I needed to do something about this obsession so I moved to Maui and never looked back. Met and became friends with many of the characters in this video - most of which (me included) now have grown kids and some are even grandparents. Moving here was the best decision of my life and I still manage to get some good surf every once in a while.
Dear Kahuna, You are absolutely right, this movie was and still is epic. I think it touched many of us, where you made the best decision I can imagine 🤙. I started windsurfing again about three years ago, while having a blast with only stuff of the golden years of windsurfing. I never visited Maui, but maybe I should put a visit to windsurf there on my bucket list 😉

It was indeed one of the best windsurf videos back in the days 🤙
