I felt the same way. It speaks more to an outdoors event. Summer weddings are often outdoors but I think it could use a jacket or wrap on top to make it more formal.

However, my wedding was cocktail attire, and I would have been appalled if someone showed up in jeans. I wonder if these titles mean different things the UK and US?

Personally I don't like the D&G top with high-waisted jeans look. It creates an awkward silhouette.
