- I HAVE probably done more miles on this scooter than all my cars... combined. No, REALLY. I call it my "time-machine" actually, cos it's saved me SO much time in the past, esp if I had to get into town for an event and then back again. Traffic jams? What traffic jams...
And yes I use the bike lane all the time if they're open, or available; one less thing to worry about (cars) definitely. Personally, I'm always bewildered why some bikes insist on using the main highways when there are bike lanes provided, it just makes no sense to me. Not only are they risking being instantly at fault for any mishap, they're also slowed by the inevitable traffic jams that happen all the time. Weird.
I also use her as a #scootourer and have done quite a bit of #scootouring in the past, really can't wait to hit the road on her again, we've had some great times. Bought this used for cash from my buddy Adam Mooza, who upgraded to a Kymco 300. She's more than made up for the purchase price in terms of the time I've saved thanks to her :)
I love the small details about this scoot too, like the "meter-sweep" when I turn the key, and how the ignition key itself 'folds' so it doesn't hit my knee when I ride, brilliant stuff :)

Hearing from The Man himself...i am now putting doubts to rest regarding durability of SYM bikes. I bought sym t2 250cc 3 years ago...never rode long distance. So far mileage only 6k..ha..ha. I am now assured that with proper servicing and maintenance, sym bikes are not lemons.

Most welcome bro!! Not lemons at all, only the plastics need a bit of care and attention once in a while. And of course preventive maintenance is a must, just like with any other motorized vehicle 🙏🏽👍🏾😊
My honda pcx first model CBU from thailand before assemble in malaysia just one year younger than yours. Bought in 2012. Coming 8 yrs now. That's my daily commuter to and back from work. Save time and petrol and no stress on road
Yep, the Honda PCX is a damn nice scooter too, I like it, but physically it's too small for me. Rented one in Phuket once, enjoyed it 👍🏾😀
Haha...too small for me too. Ever thought of sell it off upgrades to 250 xmax. But after think it over...owned it for so long already, the feeling is there like sayang to sell it off
Nice scooter..rode once in Kl before.imagine 2 blokes about your size on it .I notice Sym did a very good job by having a lot of small usable space on this scooter especially inside the underseat compartment..Even the newer Xmax can't beat it.
Yup they did! The "glovebox" below the handlebar has a 12V socket too 😀

Hey thanks! It's just a normal holder, screwed into the centre nut-cap of the handle bar, works well, phone's never dropped 🙏🏽😊
Hey chris... I am Vts 200 owner too.... Same year as you... About 192k km odo meter... Never break down... Actually once umm head gasket leaking and water get inside the block... Hahaha..And bru sekali saja tukar bateri... Actually my father yg punya.. Then he's pencen.. And i continue to use it...haha
Terbaik bro!! Yep, if properly maintained, these Sym scoots are very long lasting. The black bits tend to fade over time, so a detailing job is needed every few months or so 👍🏾😊
Can I ask a favour question.Thought of picking up a Mercs oldie w 210 E240 series .Is it worthwhile playing with this and where do I send it for checks and repairs etc.Thanks,bro. Greatly influence by you and all your old timers. Anyway,I am older than you chronologically,might as well have some fun with the process.

I custom made that myself from a normal phone holder for cars, haha!!😊

Hmmm. What's the difference between the VTS 200 and the Evo 250? They look strikingly similar apart from the headlights.
The 200 is carburettored and the 250i is fuel-injected, but yeah, physically both are about the same 😊
How do you detail the black bit? Wish to get it to looks good again...I was supposed to ride my vts 200 to Cameron via sg koyan road yesterday... Never done that route before..
U can use Armor All, Son of a Gun, or any car dashboard cleaner. Any substance that can spruce up plastic and rubber 😊
That Sg.Koyan road to CH is a dream, definitely gonna head there after the MCO 😀

Hi, I didn't ride my sym almost 2 yrs. Yesterday I replace a new battery but it just can't start. Have start sound but just won't start... Any comment... Please advice
Wow, 2 years! Firstly, still got petrol in the tank? Haha! Kudos for even trying. If i don't start mine for more than 2wks it will already have trouble firing up, what more 2yrs. Best to tow it to a workshop bud, probably needs a full service and carb cleaning, plus new petrol 😊🙏🏽

Keluarkan cover tengah² tu, screw-in tapak henfon holder, letak balik cover dgn contact gum. Tapi jaga², klu kena lubang besar kat jalan, blh tercabut. Lbh baik letak henpon dlm waterproof holder yg ada lanyard, ikat kat handle 👍🏽😊

Ouch, sorry to hear that, when I got it, it had 24,000 kms on it, and so far I've put on another 25,000km and so far no major issues 🙏🏽🤞🏾😊
But it is still a good motorcycle my father used for a long time he bought new time out jammed because my brother forgot to fill the coolant water 😀
SYM scooters are always my favourite. Built to last..Don't know why..I've owned a Tmax and a Kymco 400cc before but you will never believe that once throughout from 2008 till 2018 period, I owned Four Modenas Elegan (SYM joyride 150) two SYM GTS, Three SYM GTS 250, Three SYM Maxsym 4001 apart from one versys, a 'Rabbit"..That's how I got my nick "Jnkuning"
Had to stop being a biker due to health reason in 2018..but I still keep one 2011 SYM GTS Evo 250 as my daily convenient scooter..those were the days
