This is my friend Charlie's kit he keeps at the studio where I recorded. It's a Pearl Forum kit, with a Pearl free-floating Piccolo Snare. I used my TRX cymbals and Demon Driver pedals!

I don't try to throw rudiments into parts, they just make some parts easier or sometimes it's the only possible way to play something with the intended dynamics. With songs like this, I try to go along with what I feel is the best rhythm pattern that accents or helps bring out each part. I like going along with the rhythm pattern of vocals, but sometimes it's more of an accompanied part. Sometimes it's a rhythm I feel leads in or follows another part the best.. It just depends on the song.
