@Oridiian Cargo traders buying low and selling high are hurt much more by pirating than salvagers/miners. They have to invest capital up front and that investment is gone if destroyed or stolen. Holy shit the carebears are coming out in force in the comment section. It's mind boggling how entire community is divided into people who would want to be able to blow up new players as soon as they leave their hangar and people who think PVP needs a written consent lol.
"Ahoy good sir. I have laid mine eyes upon thine cargo. I duly request a duel for the contents of thine cargo hold." "Go away, griefer" "Right, right, good speed good chap!" Jokes aside, there are quite a few who don't understand what piracy is all about so being called "coward" or one "without honor" isn't new to me. I'm always happy to take duels which are often gank traps set by the guy I hit (which I win anyways) who ironically cry about being afraid to 1v1 or having honor. I'm more than capable of fighting but like trading or any industry gameplay, "time is money" is also true for piracy. The more time you spend on a mark, the less time you have to hit other people or especially with this patch and the increased cost of ammo and missiles, you'd do well to avoid elongated fights as that's cutting into your bottom line more. Many have this mindset that to be a real pirate, you have to go against insurmountable odds for the prize, or that they should be allowed to go back to the station and get a warship to fight back and neither is the case. If I just wanted to fight, I would go to Arena Commander, which I play enough of daily lol. At the end of the day, this game is a sim and having autonomy and freedoms super tied down to appease the PvE crowd would ruin the game but there does need to be some level of control to limit actual griefing. What a trash move. Until now all pirates avoided Vulture, like in this case you can play card "hire backup bro". Kids buy shiny ships and thing they are cpt. Sparrow now lol.
Why would any actual pirate pass up on a Vulture loaded with RMC...? Free money essentially. Until the RMC nerf, a fully loaded Vulture with a full hopper would have got you near 500k which isn't a bad score by any means.
@@Hyena_One why would? Because of honour? Kids on the streets are also free money for you I guess? Vulture has no possibility to defend itself, no one also will spend hours assisting it in panel salvage. Also now when there are 5x more people in shard even yela belt feels crowded. What is 500k when Reclaimers could do 8-10 mil? During the golden salvage days there was only reclaimers taken as a target. Yeah I've never heard of these unspoken rules myself, likely created by industry/trade players.😅 I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
There's a lot of undue hate coming your way for this, which is absurd. This is piracy, this chap was maximising their space and was even prepared and tried to fight back, within what you could try and do right now, you gave them a chance. They're not "some noob" and you weren't just ganking for the lols. My main loop is salvage, 90% of it is in a Vulture, always expecting a chancer to appear. Complacency is what kills most people, and his want for max RMC profit by hitting Yela to sell for 10+/scu at Orison was what caused his downfall. He could have gone to an L-point and then sold for ~8k elsewhere. As for video feedback, if you added a storytelling voiceover giving a bit of insight to process, this would be top-tier!
I appreciate the constructive criticism! Story telling and improving my editing is definitely on the list to get better at to hopefully make things more interesting. I may also branch out and try new things like ship reviews and other shenanigans in the verse. As for the piracy, the disagreements are something I'm prepared for 😅 there's clearly a TON of passionate people on either side of the PvE/PvP spectrum, out there who don't necessarily want to see the side of the other. In my case, had he not backspaced and stayed incapped, I typically drug people up and then revive them so they can't fight back (after taking their weapons of course) and either fly off with their ship or their loot aboard one of my ships. My org, while a PvP org isn't a piracy one... I'm just their local pirate and we have a sizeable logistics division. Whether they see me stream on Discord in real time or they see the video, I've often got feedback from them how much seeing it in action helps with their own game loops, seeing red flags and avoiding getting caught. Our head logistics guys basically has the same sentiment as you being complacency being many peoples downfall. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch, and comment!
@@sebastienjonas4984 The hauler got himself into it. He should have given the money or tried to negotiate like any real person under such situation. @sebastienjonas4984 I appreciate your engagement but piracy isn't supposed to be fair. Either you're outskilled in the board, or outgunned in the air and in your ship with better ships or more people taking you on.. A pirate is just a more aggressive trader, so the mindset of "time is money" still applies. I want the least resistance and get the cargo or ship moved as fast as possible to prevent more issues from arising. I've fought multiple people for a Hull C several times which was fun, but I won't pass up on a lone Vulture if I see it. At the end of the day, 17k PvE bounty, or a ship with anywhere from 150 to 300k? I'll take the latter any day. I got a video that will be cooking after my ship review coming up where last night, my friend and orgmate and I pulled off a fight where we downed a Scorpius, Vanguard and a crewed Polaris that attacked us over Bloom on the way to a mission. Maybe something like that will be more your speed. I do have other videos out there too which show a more "fair fight", including some where I'm just outnumbered.
@@sebastienjonas4984 And unfortunately the same applies to complacency. Thus by your logic complacency is complacency and because of that no one in the situation of this Vulture in the video has a right to complain about it.

is why you just don't solo salvage, bring a buddy to do the work in the rear and split profit with em so you never have to leave the pilots seat, if he was in the pilots seat the second you popped on radar, and was smart, he would have been gone with zero chance of being caught
Exactly! Especially since my dampener was glitched and I had no means to hold him there!
Pretty sure he finished up down there and got to the pilot seat right as I opened fire.
I love seeing your videos Hyena_one!!! I got star citizen cuz of how much fun you have!!! The star citizen is so kind to new players like myself. Please keep making more videos! I hope you stream on twitch or youtube one day!!! I'd love to see the whole process live!
I duly request a duel for the contents of thine cargo hold."
"Go away, griefer"
"Right, right, good speed good chap!"
Jokes aside, there are quite a few who don't understand what piracy is all about so being called "coward" or one "without honor" isn't new to me.
I really appreciate your view and comment!
But now maybe with their buffed shield they are to hard and low morals guys look for "easy money".
@@Hyena_Oneyes how dare you pirate a ship that had valuable cargo! Also that $50k offer was a very fair price.
@@picapaukrk I think you misunderstand just what a pirate is... if honor is your angle, I easily could have just blown him up and given no options... 🤷
I've pirated Reclaimers as well being just as easy to take over but I won't just pass up on an easy score because something "can't defend itself"...
Thanks for watching!
@@ozramblue117 I suppose I have to challenge an entire armada for a singular bottle of that delicious Cruz Lux if I want to be considered a REAL pirate!
I can foresee many comments like GRIEFEeeEEer
Definitely a few in here that give that vibe already 😅That's fine though.
The difference in greifer vs pvper. This is no different than kicking puppies. Boring
I'm sorry you feel that way, but thanks for watching and engaging anyways!
50k would have been a steal to keep his cargo
@tragickai5856 Yeah, but it also would have been a decent grab for me since I really wasn't looking for him at the moment and could have done my mission.
Very shortly after selling the server hard crashed so I missed my chance of doing the mission 😂
Keep it up bro!
I love the "Unspoken rule" and "Avoid all vulture" comments lmao What they dont realize is that there are many game loops... They're doing theres, and you're doing yours! Its literally that simple.
Yeah I've never heard of these unspoken rules myself, likely created by industry/trade players.😅
I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
These are the guys who cry "griefers" on the forum. You gave him a lot of time to negotiate. Good job.
The only way I do things! Normally I'd negotiate first but ofc there has to be a dampener glitch with every ship that has 'em! 😂
An unfair fight remains an unfair fight whatever bullshit you can spout about. At least don't flex about it.
@@sebastienjonas4984 The hauler got himself into it.
He should have given the money or tried to negotiate like any real person under such situation. He would have kept the cargo since he was approached by a fighter. Instead, he tried to fight back and got himself killed.
That's like "damn, dude approaches me with a gun, I'll try to fist fight him."
It's not supposed to be fair.
New sub btw

Hoping to earn that with some good content, so if there's anything you wanna see, let me know!
@@Hyena_One dude your piracy gameplay is nice keep it up
@@theplushychannel9427 I really appreciate it! Hopefully I can level up my editing skills more and maybe do some creative story telling with my piracy adventures in the future!
@Hyena_One would love to join one day love the gameplay in SC just dont play with many people
@@theplushychannel9427 Feel free to add my on SC! Same name here :)
If you're looking for a good Org, look up ShadowFox. I am not much of an Org kinda guy but with MM, I decided to look. These guys picked me up and it's been a blast! While it's a PvP oriented org, we run training classes for all facets of the game and do just about everything. Definitely NOT a pirate org, I am just their local hooligan!
Laughs in Polaris.
Those shields are beefy! Would definitely take me a hot minute, solo but I'd get in eventually! 😂
I enjoy getting pirated when I'm doing things like salvaging/mining. I can always replace that which I've lost. I've only invested fuel in those activities.
@@tylerstewart3181 that's good to hear someone doesn't take it so seriously! I always try to start with a fraction of the value and work my way up
that was pretty bad ass.
I appreciate it! Thanks for taking the time to watch! :)
