Mad skillz for taking out that Vulture! </sarcasm>
@@sebastienjonas4984 Don't hate me because you can't do it 😉 thanks for the click and the engagement!
What a difficult combat engagement, bet it was really scary
@@scottredford4801 Always! Thanks for taking the time to comment and click on my video! 😁
i bet not catch yall in the verse
I'm always down for a good fight! But I'm also open for negotiations 😁
Holy shit the carebears are coming out in force in the comment section. It's mind boggling how entire community is divided into people who would want to be able to blow up new players as soon as they leave their hangar and people who think PVP needs a written consent lol.
"Ahoy good sir. I have laid mine eyes upon thine cargo. I duly request a duel for the contents of thine cargo hold." "Go away, griefer" "Right, right, good speed good chap!" Jokes aside, there are quite a few who don't understand what piracy is all about so being called "coward" or one "without honor" isn't new to me. I'm always happy to take duels which are often gank traps set by the guy I hit (which I win anyways) who ironically cry about being afraid to 1v1 or having honor. I'm more than capable of fighting but like trading or any industry gameplay, "time is money" is also true for piracy. The more time you spend on a mark, the less time you have to hit other people or especially with this patch and the increased cost of ammo and missiles, you'd do well to avoid elongated fights as that's cutting into your bottom line more. Many have this mindset that to be a real pirate, you have to go against insurmountable odds for the prize, or that they should be allowed to go back to the station and get a warship to fight back and neither is the case. If I just wanted to fight, I would go to Arena Commander, which I play enough of daily lol. At the end of the day, this game is a sim and having autonomy and freedoms super tied down to appease the PvE crowd would ruin the game but there does need to be some level of control to limit actual griefing. I really appreciate your view and comment!
You are a coward picking on the little guy. karma bites twice as hard
I appreciate the engagement! We all gotta make money, my friend. He just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time 😅
There's a lot of undue hate coming your way for this, which is absurd. This is piracy, this chap was maximising their space and was even prepared and tried to fight back, within what you could try and do right now, you gave them a chance. They're not "some noob" and you weren't just ganking for the lols. My main loop is salvage, 90% of it is in a Vulture, always expecting a chancer to appear. Complacency is what kills most people, and his want for max RMC profit by hitting Yela to sell for 10+/scu at Orison was what caused his downfall. He could have gone to an L-point and then sold for ~8k elsewhere. As for video feedback, if you added a storytelling voiceover giving a bit of insight to process, this would be top-tier!
I appreciate the constructive criticism! Story telling and improving my editing is definitely on the list to get better at to hopefully make things more interesting. I may also branch out and try new things like ship reviews and other shenanigans in the verse. As for the piracy, the disagreements are something I'm prepared for 😅 there's clearly a TON of passionate people on either side of the PvE/PvP spectrum, out there who don't necessarily want to see the side of the other. In my case, had he not backspaced and stayed incapped, I typically drug people up and then revive them so they can't fight back (after taking their weapons of course) and either fly off with their ship or their loot aboard one of my ships. My org, while a PvP org isn't a piracy one... I'm just their local pirate and we have a sizeable logistics division. Whether they see me stream on Discord in real time or they see the video, I've often got feedback from them how much seeing it in action helps with their own game loops, seeing red flags and avoiding getting caught. Our head logistics guys basically has the same sentiment as you being complacency being many peoples downfall. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch, and comment!
Poor guy had no chance. Voip isn't working in 4.0 for the most part.
Yeah found that out unfortunately. Fortunately for him I did send text as well so he was likely F12'd. Oh well 😅
@Hyena_One Yeah.. chat doesnt work for everyone in 4.0 either LOL. Sometimes server errors disables it on you. Patch is fucked.
Too scared for Pyro eh? Frightened someone might fight back?
@@Froobyone I went to Pyro earlier today and got a few people! In this case being a fresh patch, I spawned in Stanton due to high traffic and wait times in Pyro. I'm more than capable of a fight but I think you misunderstand a pirates goals. A good pirate should be able to fight, but if you're looking for folks to pirate, chances are, you're not gonna want to fight everyone that comes since that would cut into earnings potential.
@@Hyena_One What was the earning potential of killing a Vulture when the Guardian carries no cargo? Just someone's hard work ruined. There's a difference between piracy for profit and piracy for ego.
@@Froobyone That's when you have an org-mate swing on by with a ship that can carry the cargo and split the profit. You must've not seen the entire thing if you missed the sale 🤣😉 Can't say I've ever heard of "piracy for ego" though, normally it's all about the money for me! In this case, I wasn't actively looking for someone to pirate so it was good luck for me, and bad luck for the other guy since my mission took me right to his location.
@@Hyena_One Well I hope the Vulture pilot was glad he spent money on a ship so he could be "content" for you. If only there was NPC ships in game you could kill and loot. I suppose the game can be divided into those who would see a defenceless ship and move on and those who think anything is game. Thankfully the time will come when you won't be doing that in high-sec, until then, we just have to avoid murder hobos.
@Froobyone I'll 100% be doing this in high sec 😂 if you think people won't, you'll be surprised. It will likely take a larger, organized force to blitz people and do snatch and grabs but it'll be possible. I forsee a strict time limit before people show up but that's a mindset I operate on regardless since we never know if they have friends on the server. At the end of the day, this is a game so don't take it so serious. He's doing what he enjoys for fun, and I do my game loop for fun. Sure, I can "pirate" npcs but that's not real piracy, especially when they don't fight for their cargo in FPS. Some people like PvP, others stick to PvE and that's okay!
I enjoy getting pirated when I'm doing things like salvaging/mining. I can always replace that which I've lost. I've only invested fuel in those activities.
@@tylerstewart3181 that's good to hear someone doesn't take it so seriously! I always try to start with a fraction of the value and work my way up

@@Prophitman8 It's an impressive ship! Now spent quite a bit of time with it in Pyro and won every engagement with it so far. Unfortunately most people are easy, but in a high level against members of my org it still holds up quite well. Yeah I've never heard of these unspoken rules myself, likely created by industry/trade players.😅 I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
Cool thing about the Guardian is it actually could have taken some of those boxes, if you didn’t have an org on standby
Yeah, it's no Cutlass Blue, but it can get the job done in small quantities lol!
that was such a pathetic haul from piracy i would be ashamed and embarrassed. all that with a connie a guardian and a plan 153,900k? awww. what happened? shy lil pirate? performance issues? cant take on the big dogs so u gotta hit small weak pathetic vultures for their table scraps. 153k?, hell call it 153,000 reasons why ur skill is being wasted, or that ur just a chicken shit coward that cant take a c2 cuz its just to hard, i mean its like using an Abrams tank to swat a fly for a grain of salt or sending Special forces to get a cat out of a locked room. It maybe fun but its stupid stupid easy to get rmc and a single vulture full is like 3 times that? jesus that was pathetic. id just blow up my ship wait 3 minutes and be back at it if i was them, but to a salvager that payment u got was laughable. u hit em on their way to market and get over 300k for one ship. all ur doing is showing ppl that it looks fun until you get paid bread crumbs.
I appreciate the engagement! I have other videos where I go after groups protecting Hull C's. I've taken out Reclaimers before but I think you miss the point of the video entirely with the thumbnail saying "crime of opportunity". Lol there was no plan. I showed up for a mission, saw a guy and jumped on it. 150k is still larger than 0. Would have been better if he had it full with the buffer, but why leave free money? A full vulture is about 300k - I hit several last night with these numbers and if you REALLY want to be realistic, hitting a popular area full of Vultures would net you some serious returns compared to sitting in one spot, and waiting for a guy in a C2. In the time it would take waiting, you could hit several Vultures/Reclaimers so your profit per hour could potentially be a lot higher going after these actively rather than sitting and waiting somewhere especially on a fresh patch. I mean sure, I can fight people, I've done 1vX fights before but if I'm going for money, it'd be a waste of time if that's what I was actively going for and I'd might as well play Squadron Battle on AC if I was just there for the fight. I don't think you fully understand that you shouldn't go around looking for fights if you're trying to secure cargo because you'd just be cutting into your time. I welcome fights after I've secured the cargo with the chances being high that they bring friends and that's okay. Guys with your mindset make it sound like you have to take on an entire armada and waste hours of time for a pittance to be considered a real pirate in comparison to if you just hit aloof/unlucky players like this and make more for the time invested 😂 0 planning and 0 time invested for a 150k that I wouldn't have made otherwise? That's a no matter how you slice it! 😂😂

Bloody pirates! 🏴☠
YO HOHO AND A BOTTLE OF CRUZ! 🏴☠
What do you think about the QI? I can’t get over the fact that it has a size 3 Dampner but only gets 500m more than cutlass blue that’s a little ridiculous to me what you think
I really like it!!! On paper it has the same stats as an F8 in terms of maneuverability but it feels a lot better than they portray. The S5 weapons are great and the interior is everything I'd want. As a pirate, it's not something you'd use solo, but it's a great asset when you have a group. It can have the same missile loadout as the Cutlass with more firepower but I agree on the QD size and the distance. At the end of the day it's better than nothing but we'll see if it ends up getting rebalanced if players give good feedback. I am just very happy it can be entered via the front as well and it fits in the Polaris when I pirate with my usual crew. The base variant is a little noticeable in terms of more maneuverability but not by a ton - even if you use the QD a little, the Qi would be more than enough. I am sort of contemplating making a review video even though that isn't my usual content but it would give more variety I suppose. If it's something people are interested, I may put a review video together :)
@@Hyena_One yeah I would be interested in seeing a review. I usually use the mantis my favorite ship of all. But sadly I found out the my ruined the interdiction with server meshing. Of course we want server meshing but still my favorite thing was to sit there in deep space and wait catch them when they think they got away. Quick question if you don’t mind giving this info away how are you finding these miners and people salvaging? I’ve learned the haulers routes but salvagers and miners can be anywhere
Yeah I'll see if I can whip up a video! With the weapons rebalancing, and especially if you're not alone, this beats the Cutlass Blue in every way! With the costs of missiles being so high, it's not really something you can dump on a whim anymore so those twin S5s really pull their weight. The downside is the cost of the S5s! Hundreds of thousands for ONE gun... oooofff.... Some common where salvagers go is the Yela belt, but it's usually harder to find those folks. If you get lucky, I've found people like this, or people running Vaughns that you can intercept freely. Other people while sticking heavily to Crusader space go to CRU-L1 but you can still find people at other Lagrange stations. The downside is you have the station there so if you're gonna hit someone, you need to do it before they reach armistice. My crew and I hit probably 15 Vultures last night between the Lagrange stations and the Yela Belt/Grim Hex area. Some of us bring a mixed loadout of distortion weapons and lasers so that we can just fly the ship away but right now there is a weird glitch where you can bump a ship like a Connie and send it tumbling with your little human body 😂
@ yeah I know the glitch lol sent my ship hurling in space at speeds at can’t catch up to. Sounds good tho thanks for the info not use to searching for targets I used to just interdict lanes in deep space but server meshing made it so interdicting isn’t possible anymore
Piracy is fun in SC, but I agree that taking the Vulture was a dick move. Also targeting prospectors / ROC miners - these are just people wanting to chill, and they literally spend hours grinding for a pittance. Its sort of an unwritten rule to only pirate lazy cargo traders trying to buy low / sell high, or drug runners etc.
I've been pirating for many years and never heard of such a rule and am rather curious where one can find that. Rather I go by one where I don't hit the same person if I got them before and always give them a way out first. I appreciate the comment and criticism regardless! Thanks!
@@Oridiian so let me get this straight. CIG implementing a game loop specifically designed to go for high value industry players to make a profit. And you're telling me that pirates aren't supposed to go after the very people they make money on? That's like pirates in the Caribbean not targeting traders/merchants in the Caribbean because they aren't bothering anyone and have valuable cargo.... It didn't happen.
@Oridiian Cargo traders buying low and selling high are hurt much more by pirating than salvagers/miners. They have to invest capital up front and that investment is gone if destroyed or stolen. Killing miners and salvagers only robs them of time. Did you used to date a cargo trader or something? Is that why you hate them?
Looks like seal clubbing.

that was pretty bad ass.
I appreciate it! Thanks for taking the time to watch! :)
is why you just don't solo salvage, bring a buddy to do the work in the rear and split profit with em so you never have to leave the pilots seat, if he was in the pilots seat the second you popped on radar, and was smart, he would have been gone with zero chance of being caught
Exactly! Especially since my dampener was glitched and I had no means to hold him there! Pretty sure he finished up down there and got to the pilot seat right as I opened fire.
These are the guys who cry "griefers" on the forum. You gave him a lot of time to negotiate. Good job.
The only way I do things! Normally I'd negotiate first but ofc there has to be a dampener glitch with every ship that has 'em! 😂
An unfair fight remains an unfair fight whatever bullshit you can spout about. At least don't flex about it.
@@sebastienjonas4984 The hauler got himself into it. He should have given the money or tried to negotiate like any real person under such situation. He would have kept the cargo since he was approached by a fighter. Instead, he tried to fight back and got himself killed. That's like "damn, dude approaches me with a gun, I'll try to fist fight him." It's not supposed to be fair.
@sebastienjonas4984 I appreciate your engagement but piracy isn't supposed to be fair. Either you're outskilled in the board, or outgunned in the air and in your ship with better ships or more people taking you on.. A pirate is just a more aggressive trader, so the mindset of "time is money" still applies. I want the least resistance and get the cargo or ship moved as fast as possible to prevent more issues from arising. I've fought multiple people for a Hull C several times which was fun, but I won't pass up on a lone Vulture if I see it. At the end of the day, 17k PvE bounty, or a ship with anywhere from 150 to 300k? I'll take the latter any day. I got a video that will be cooking after my ship review coming up where last night, my friend and orgmate and I pulled off a fight where we downed a Scorpius, Vanguard and a crewed Polaris that attacked us over Bloom on the way to a mission. Maybe something like that will be more your speed. I do have other videos out there too which show a more "fair fight", including some where I'm just outnumbered.
@@sebastienjonas4984 And unfortunately the same applies to complacency. Thus by your logic complacency is complacency and because of that no one in the situation of this Vulture in the video has a right to complain about it.
What a lowlife. Your not even a pirate.
Thanks for the engagement! By definition, I took the cargo, sold it, made money. Pirate. 🏴☠️
I would have gone for bigger fish than low end materials that are not worth much.
Low hanging fruit on the way to a PvE bounty? I'll take what I can get 😁 RMC is still quite valuable even after the nerf, otherwise people wouldn't bother salvaging it in the first place.
He can't handle bigger fish, he can only handle the tiny shrimp.
@j.d.4697 I appreciate the engagement! I have a few videos where I've gone after Hull C's and other targets. 😉
What a trash move. Until now all pirates avoided Vulture, like in this case you can play card "hire backup bro". Kids buy shiny ships and thing they are cpt. Sparrow now lol.
Why would any actual pirate pass up on a Vulture loaded with RMC...? Free money essentially. Until the RMC nerf, a fully loaded Vulture with a full hopper would have got you near 500k which isn't a bad score by any means.
@@Hyena_One why would? Because of honour? Kids on the streets are also free money for you I guess? Vulture has no possibility to defend itself, no one also will spend hours assisting it in panel salvage. Also now when there are 5x more people in shard even yela belt feels crowded. What is 500k when Reclaimers could do 8-10 mil? During the golden salvage days there was only reclaimers taken as a target. But now maybe with their buffed shield they are to hard and low morals guys look for "easy money".
@@Hyena_Oneyes how dare you pirate a ship that had valuable cargo! Also that $50k offer was a very fair price.
@@picapaukrk I think you misunderstand just what a pirate is... if honor is your angle, I easily could have just blown him up and given no options... 🤷 I've pirated Reclaimers as well being just as easy to take over but I won't just pass up on an easy score because something "can't defend itself"... Thanks for watching!
@@ozramblue117 I suppose I have to challenge an entire armada for a singular bottle of that delicious Cruz Lux if I want to be considered a REAL pirate!
Have not gotten into piracy yet, but I am excited to give it a shot!
It can be fun, yet challenging at times especially when faced with glitches. Takes quite a bit of patience and some prep/basic knowledge to get things done efficiently but it can be a fun time! Thanks for watching!
It’s fun but tbh you don’t make that much money some days you go without making anything instead you spent preparing for a target that never came. I play solo and it’s not as easy as most other people that complain about pirates say it is it actually takes a lot of coordination and ridiculous amounts of patience. Playing solo just hope the guy doesn’t have friends lol. And bugs will happen I’ve taken a whole c2 of RMC when it was a thing and the guy dysnc over to my ship and killed be without me even noticing even though I’m staring at his exits on his ship

Some days with high value targets, I can make over 10mil in a single day or 10mil in a week. It's varies a TON! In the end, it's something you do because you genuinely enjoy it, and not only about the money. I enjoy the hunt, sneaking aboard ships, or blitzing a group of people with my crew when I am not solo. For many of us it's about the PvP, but I often remind people that there's a difference between griefing and piracy, so if it's PvP you want, at least make an effort to make some kind of gain from it. I appreciate the comment and you taking the time to watch! :)
You are truly strong and courageous, and honorable. It was that guy's fault that he was flying a ship with which he couldn't defend himself. And it was indeed his own fault that he spent time salvaging cargo that you wanted.
Lol I suppose he didn't know it yet! 😅
What a stupid argument!!!
Damn, if only there was a way he could have known that piracy is one of the core advertised professions before installing…
Nah, just a newbie salvager which was not prepared. he should have had a QT point already select and kept his eye on radar. As soon as you arrived, He should have already started running and QT awayed before a disabled. Plus why is he salvaging near a QT point. There is a reason why Aaron's Halo exists. But good to YOU for offering an opportunity. He was scraping panels and that is basically free money. So for the hassle, I would probably just pay. Any then leave, sell, and get in my Gaurdian on a little bounty hunting mission. Later.
NORMALLY, I'd QD, hail the victim and make an offer but was hit with the QD bug... figured I'd at least give him the chance. It's something I always try to do and he still would have made ~100k+ wherever he sold it. I got a feeling they broke VoIP though, a friend I pirate with occasionally was not heard in VoIP and I got a feeling this may have been the case here as well. I need to do more testing. It was quite unfortunate that our paths crossed however! Thanks for watching!
@@Hyena_One Oh, I did not realize you had the Gaudian QI version. Well in that case only two options, either pay ransom or hit the destruct while I salute in my ship. Later.
hyena is a perfect name for u
Haha everyone makes mistakes in the heat of passion, Erik! I couldn't resist!
So is this the normal or QI version of the Guardian?
This is the Qi - Unfortunately there's a QD bug with all the ships equipped with them atm. Overall a great ship and feels more maneuverable than the stats show on paper!
@Hyena_One So she's a good pirate and Bounty Hunting vessel?
@@Hyena_Onewhat kind of bug? I used mine a few hours ago and it looked fine
@DerKilianist same here!
@DerKilianist I've been experiencing a bug for all ships with QD's. Basically even with power allocated, it can't be activated. The workaround is jumping away and jumping back into the area and then I can activate. Really odd.
50k would have been a steal to keep his cargo
@tragickai5856 Yeah, but it also would have been a decent grab for me since I really wasn't looking for him at the moment and could have done my mission. Very shortly after selling the server hard crashed so I missed my chance of doing the mission 😂
That man got honey roasted to main character music 😂
wow a Corsair delivery!! how nice of him! HAHAHA
Man was just roleplaying as a space car rental business!
another 10/10 video by Hyena <33 Jester
Yeeeee an another video ! Your my hero since I discovered you ! Btw, how do you think piracy is possible without QED ? I'm on Cutty Black for now and have a hard time to think about go on Blue but the 46scu of the Black is pretty useful too..
As always, thanks for watching! Without a QED, you'll have to hit hard and fast, so go in heavy with missiles possibly and just lay into them as much as possible. It'll be tricky because whether they jump or not, they can potentially outpace you and escape. Another option is waiting on the ground although that can get boring depending on how patient you are. I've fit well over 70 SCU's of RMC in my Blue once. You just have to bring the boxes all the way through to the cockpit, fill that out and then the middle section, leaving the tail end for last.
@@Hyena_One ye ok I see, maybe the Corsair will be good, Drake is my way to go as they look like pirate ship haha And.. How do you manage to get target without being see ? Your guy on Brio is in stealth ship waiting sneaky ?
@@hidegan9706 It's usually a matter of only targeting them when they are in QED/Weapons Range. If you target lock them, they'll hear an audible warning and can use a keybind to target whomever is targeting them and that's when they'd know for sure. Psalm in this case is just in a Gladius. The guy in the Connie was just oblivious, and my party member was just outside of his vision.
7:52 is that damn luck or is there a way to actually aim for shield gen ??
A bit of good timing/positioning and a little bit of luck with hit registration! I shut them off all the time, and sometimes you get lucky (or unlucky) and either disable the ship entirely or you hit the power plant so bad the ship just spontaneously explodes.
@@Hyena_One your taskforce seem to be very useful for that with their huge area of explosion. I'll try that this is insane against big ships
Duuuuude ! As piracy cutty too, your channel is gold ! The video is awesomg buddy. Do you play with hotas/hosas ? Or use mouse/keyboard ??
I appreciate you watching! At the moment, I am running dual Constellation Alphas with Rudder pedals.
Hey buddy ! I'm cutty pirate user too and I would be interted by taking building with you ! I maid a stealth cutty for piracy but I would know yours !
I play it a bit risky with mostly competition components. x3 S1 Missile racks x3 S2 Missile racks Taskforce 1's and Rattlers
@@Hyena_One Nice ! I have my shield on competition but everything else in stealth, that way my cutty is visible under 5km, this is not huge but pretty useful for pirate gameplay, better than being detected to 20km.
@@hidegan9706 I think even with stealth components, due to the massive cross section, you'd be visible a fair distance out. Tested a stealth cutty in AC with my org and they saw me over 15km out.
Good stuff, nice hit! Effective multi-tasking, keep em coming! 👍
@wardawgSC thanks man! Shoot me a message if you see me on and we'll do some piracy together!
Turned him into a fidget spinner 😂 how many G's u think he pulling on that Tasmanian spin? 😂😂😂
Shame most of this fight was at night cause I love watching the glaive fly. Can't say it was worth the $330 I spent on it, but I still do not regret it one bit. It's honestly just a better Ares Ion at this point.
@UndeadCheetah Yeah I honestly hate flying the Meta and while it's a shame they nerfed the laser cannons on everything and made this harder to fight with, I still enjoy flying it. I kinda like the Glaive over the Blade and aim to hold on to one or both until the redesign comes and see how I like it then.
Was continuously looking at the video like, where's the dragons?! all that epic music haha :P
@@matsveritas2055 Queueing the Skyrim dragon fight music for that Inferno lol
Great Comms, guys! Fun watch!
@NovakSlap Thanks for watching! A bit out of my element with open field warfare but it was fun! 😁
5:30 poor dude was just informing and the guys that answered him was a total jerk, like why?
Eh... it's just how he is. Always competitive when it comes to ground fighting. Clearly I'm more of a fly boy though 😂
Good fights and nice video :) For Cutlass Blue though, even in MM, CIG nerfed the VTOL in 3.23 but in 3.24.2, they returned and you have 19g on upstrafe (VTOL on) so it's good to take advantage on that. Also for larger ships like Constellations and Prowler, the best way is not to face them at distance, we still don't have eggshape combat so best is to get as close as possible and then it's a rate fight. Constellations have huge firepower and good thing he didn't used Deadbolts like a friend of mine 🤣Connie is a brick and so is Prowler so at close combat (also known as knife fighting) they always lose. Unless crewed of course. I also hate that armistice bug ... :(
@deio977 thanks for watching! Yeah Constellations are tough! In atmosphere it would be easier to push in and get in the slot but in space, especially with backstrafing being so strong, it's a tough chore. The backstrafe paired with CF repeaters is a mean combo but so are well placed missiles to the shield generator 😂🤣
