Great reaction ... and yes I'm sure there were quite a few of us wishing you'd seen this (or pretty much any other song than 'Gimme Chocolate') for your first time with BABYMETAL. 'Catch Me If You Can' is the best metal song about playing a game that's a sort of cross between tag, blind man's bluff and hide & seek. It is the perfect mix of the two extremes with the brutal instrumentals and the sweet vocals - and the game they are playing, they're playing with an Oni 👹(a sort of Japanese ogre popular in regional festivals and used specifically to frighten children ... which amuses me probably more than it should😁). The growling vocals (they are on a backing track as usual of course) are the Oni👹 asking things like "Are you ready?" and the best response has to be "Maada da yo" (No, not yet) while doing a running away from an Oni dance.🏃♀🏃♀🏃♀👹 This was compilation video - if you check the description it lists the 10 concerts they used to make it (one of them was Wembley Arena in London, the other 9 were in Japan and they dated from 2013 to 2016) and the 2 of those they used for the audio (it was a mix of Wembley and the Tokyo Dome). It isn't a bad compilation (there is a truly awful one, I'm so glad you didn't use that - that other one mixes up the different Kami Band members so badly - at least this one had the correct musicians even if what you were watching them play didn't always match what you were hearing them play). They were guitarists Mikio Fujioka (RIP Jan 2018) and Takayoshi Ohmura, BOH on bass - yes it is a 6 string bass - and Hideki Aoyama on drums. Whatever you see from them next will be different again, so that should be fun ... oh yes, cheers🍺(does an emoji count as saying beer?).

That’s his custom model from Atelier Z. MIYU from the young Metal trio Asterism plays a seven stringed bass that ESP built for him. Many of BABYMETAL’s Kami Band guitarists have ESP signature guitars. Takayoshi Ommura’s ESP Snapper 7 Ohmura Custom (in twinkle pink) is well known to BABYMETAL fans.

One is before Babymetal reborn with superpower, they were ordinary teenage girls, playing with tag, that means they were bold and crazy. It has over 187,000,000 views so many if not most first timers to Babymetal get steered to it via the miracle of the UA-cam algorithm. A very old performance of this ancient song. And if I am not mistaken BOH used a 7 string base. They had at that time more time, btw they needed more time for the girls. And according to sing live, I don't know if there are any bands who don't hold backing tracks in Reserve even for technical problems. Even the singers themselves can't really say if their Signals are dumped. This is a principal Problem of the whole Entertainment industry, there is simply no way to guarantee an uptime of 100%
