Thank-you so much Pavel. God willing I will continue on this journey to share the gifts God reveals to me when I take the time to listen and paint His word into image.
Thank-you so much. I hope the artist of the original prototype from the 6th century is smiling in heaven with the encouraging comments. It was an honor to learn from a master of centuries ago who worked in encaustic wax! I used acrylic paints all the way through, except for when I applied the gold leaf and protective outer layer.
@@deborahanderson8546 I had the honor of taking a class for iconography using this awesome subject and egg tempera! I have loved this depiction of Christ ever since and I am SURE the original artist is very pleased with your lovely rendition.
Well done....You failed the canonical and theological halo with the Being Haon and three stripes on each arm...eternally one with the Trinity. I have written this same icon only with tempera....never learned how t o use acrylic
Thanks for your response. I tried to copy the original icon exactly, following the inspired talent of the artist from the 6th century. Perhaps some of those details were damaged beyond what I could see. I have worked in egg tempera but am not confident enough of the long term results of my mixing of all the natural ingredients!
Fantastic work. I love this so much. Thank you
