I have a cry baby mini wah, and had this problem from day one. And I didn't want to adjust the height of the switch, since the PCB is in the way, and I'm afraid of damaging it, or the wire contacts. So I bought a set of self-adhesive cork pads, degreased the surface of the inside foot pedal, and sticked it on, and it is perfect now! Believe me or not,I didn't see this video beforehand, when I was solving the issue today! I thought I was original with my idea, but apparantly not. 😂 How I wished I had come across your video 3 years earlier. I bought mine in 2020, but didn't use it that much. But anyway I solved it.
Wow 😯 thank you! I just turned the pre existing felt underneath 180* (until I can replace it) and it works! I can see mine is indented from prior use. Amazing
Horribly unreliable pedals. Every guitar player has multiple broken ones. There's better options out there stay away from these. They will break at the worst time possible.
I toured internationally with my first one (which meant usually having to check it underneath the planes) and played nearly every night for almost 20 years and the only issue I had was squeaking which was handled easily with WD-40. The second one I've had for about 15 years now and I've yet to have a problem. They've both been dropped a few times but they've kept on ticking. Definitely built like tanks and have served me well.

They are called self adhesive skid protectors that are used to prevent furniture from scratching floors. Walmart or Amazon sells them.

That's exactly what is wrong with mine. The switch is fine. I'm about to do exactly this trick.
Thanks man this worked!
