I am so excited to learn about Passiontide from this video-Mermaid of Black Conch also has sounded fantastic! Your TBR always intrigues, Gretchen. Happy reading 🍁 📖 🍃
I really enjoy hearing what is coming out. I love the sound of We'll Prescribe you a Cat. The first video of yours I've seen. Liked and subscribed. Greeting from the UK.
I love these videos. Oh, the Ishida. I have that from Net Galley and forgot! It looks adorable! I’m also intrigued by Colored Television. I’ve got the Tokarczuk on hold at the library!
So many good books this month! I’ve got Creation Lake, Colored Television, Blue Sisters, A Sunny Place, Playground, and Intermezzo (my first Rooney) on hold at the library.
I love this time of year for new releases. I have Blue Sisters on my TBR pile, it’s been out a while here in the UK. I bought the new Clare Chambers book, Shy Creatures, today and am really looking forward to the new Elizabeth Strout.
Hi Gretchen Passiontide sounds fantastic. I have reserved Blue Sisters at my library but there are lots in front of me. Might read Cleopatra and Frankenstein which has been on my Kindle for ages.
I'm really looking forward to Playground by Richard Powers. I love his books. I wonder when it will be translated in Poland. And of course, I am extremely curious about your impressions after reading The Empusium by Olga Tokarczuk.
I really need to prioritize The Overstory. That is the Powers that everyone tells me I’ll love. And I will definitely let you know what I think The Empusium!
I'm reading Passiontide right now! It's good. I actually ordered it from the UK because it was getting lots of Booker buzz. When literary mysteries are done well, there's not much better. :) I'll be eager to hear your thoughts about Creation Lake. I'm almost done with that one. It's not that I'm not enjoying it, because it's well-written and interesting, but I'm a little confused.
I’ve preordered Where The Forest Meets The River Tell Me Everything ( I read Amy & Isabelle in August and I’m reading The Burgess Boys now to catch up) Not too sure yet about the new Sally Rooney Creation Lake? Unless it’s sort list? Same with Playground.
I knew there was more reason to why I enjoy your videos and reading taste! I also have a large Polish genetic connection and have been also have goals to read more Polish authors for 2025. I have discovered a few more in my research on Book Prize winners in the past (Booker, Pulitzer,Nobel) Looking forward to Creation Lake and Playground, which I pre ordered both from Blackwell’s back in July at the announcement of the long list. I am a new Strout “collector” 🫣 because I haven’t read my Olive Books yet, but also on my 2025 goals. I will pick this one up too, for the future.
Strout collector made me laugh!!! 😂 I am a ‘collector’ of many authors too I supposed. And if you run across any other cool Polish writers, let me know! Wioletta Greg is another one that I need to read that I have heard good things about. 🇵🇱
Hi Gretchen! All of your videos are great but these Anticipated monthly videos have become my very favorites. Thank you! 🌸
Glad you like them!

I’ve got to be patient for the new Chambers. It doesn’t come out in the States until November!!! 😕
@@madeubook It will be worth the wait😊
I saw Blue sisters in a free little library, dang should have grabbed it. I read Bewilderment by Richard Powers didn’t understand it.
Aw man!!!! The one that got away! 😂

I feel your pain about the library hold lists! I hope I still want to read them all by the time they come in.
Looking forward to seeing Elizabeth Strout in person in Nashville on September 12
Wow! That sounds amazing! Kinda jealous over here!

I’ve heard it’s confusing….which seems to be another Booker theme this year 😂🤣😂
I’ve preordered
