The 390 constantly eggs you to ride hard and it's rapid enough that you can find yourself in tricky situations going a lot faster than you should be. Also, because the bike feels so small and light (compared to a proper big bike), its easy to not give it the respect that one should. Hope that elaborates :) @@chevvakulasrikanth9260

23 Nov 23.Just completed 1200 kms on the odo. Rode it from Tezpur to Bumla Pass and back. Conditions sunny, fog and snow(fresh and frozen). Terrain complete steep and down ride with mud, wet, snow and black ice. 4 days of journey with the return done at one day. That's a 12 hour ride. Ride was comfortable with absolute no back or body pain. Bike was responsive in every conditions at the time. Return was absolute pleasure as the rev limit milestone was over after 1000 kms. The bike just thundered on the hills with the throttle but not enough straight road to push it to the limit, and the torque can be felt at every gear. The braking is strong and the gears are smooth as butter. Suspension I would say was comfortable enough to not hurt you. Attached fog lights 40 watts with wiring harness. Also I had a pillion with luggage the entire journey. Back home feeling absolute thrilled and the journey was absolute pleasure with the Duke 250. I am a 6 feet guy weighing over 90 kgs and my pillon weighing over 50 kgs along with luggage and riding gears. ❤

I got the Gen 2 Duke 250 in May. Very very complete overall, I admire the updates by Kronreif Trunkenpolz Mattighogfen but I personally admire the looks of the Generation 2 250 Duke/ 390 Duke.
The ride-by-wire is great but the charm of the 250 is ever present. An easier bike to ride than both the 390 and 200. I do feel this version will be jerkier/clunkier than the last bike. My Gen 2 250 Duke can either be an cheetah or be a regular civet! The last bike was way more comfortable.
Great to see the height and weight reduction but most of us just loved the way the Gen 2 bike looks. Ride safe everyone. Gear up! Riding jacket and proper safety is a must. Cheers guys!

I too have a second gen Duke 250 and prefer its looks and the more riding space it gives. Don't agree so uch on it being a regular civet - the engine just doesn't have any low-mid range torque.

Be it ergonomics, performance, refinement or even handling, the Honda CB300R beats the KTM hands down. But KTM claws back points when it comes to features (no USB charging plus box section rear swingarm on the Honda) and overall aftersales (parts availability and maintenance). Better to go for the 390 as the difference between the two is less than a lakh and the crazy amount of electronics, adjustable suspension for both the front and rear and the extra power is completely justified for that price. Only if people could be convinced to save up and wait for longer...
