Jedi Survivor is everything how a sequel should be made. It has many new, interesting mechanics while still keeping to the core that made Fallen Order great. it is bigger but not in a shallow way like *cough* Bethesda games. It gave us many things we asked for such as different lightsaber fighting styles. Honestly there are only two things I did not like about it: the way the story is so disjointed. In my opinion, it would've been better to either focus on one of the three (Empire, Mercenaries, Dagan) story arcs or make them all separate. They kind of felt weightlesss. The 2nd thing is that the story once again ends in a cliffhanger of sorts which, of course, will not be a problem once a third game successfully closes Cal's story.
Awesome video Great game. Was my personal runner up for GOTY behind Baldur's Gate. Shame about the performance issues on release. Really makes me wonder what would have gone differently if it had another few months to cook. Looking forward to the next chapter!
Thanks for the great video. I am also a SW fan and Jedi survivor is certainly my favorite game (keep in mind I play very few games). I must have finalized it around 30 times despite the 30FPS limitation (on Xbox serie S which at least didn't suffer too many technical issues at launch). I already enjoyed a lot Jedi Fallen Order, but got completely mesmerized by Jedi Survivor. I absolutely agree with you that the story telling and characters rival the dynamic of the original trilogy. I created a playlist from my favorite tracks at Pyloon Saloon that I listen whenever the mood calls for it. This is a game and story I will carry with me forever...
Tldr: It's not woke so no one bashes it. It's a masterpiece where the DEI doesn't feel forced and the writing is phenomenal. Environmental detail is excellent, Open-world is full of life, combat is fun and traversal/exploration difficulty is just right not enough for you to get stuck while the harder things are reserved for Optional quests and challenges like they should.
The game has been bashed by both sides. The left says Cal is generic white guy and attacked the Cameron for not being a POC this was started by a previous dev who wanted Cal to be anything but a white man. Then you have people who say the game is "woke" because cere made Vader try and the high republic (which really hasn't been good honestly). Is it perfect? No The villains aren't as good as Trilla this time around.
I didn't see that much of coverage of Jedi Survivor on youtube when it came out, but I can see Star Wars Outlaws everywhere now. Turns out that making a mid controversial game is indeed better for marketing than simply making a good game. Disclaimer, however, that I purposefully avoided any Jedi Survivor content to avoid spoilers, while in case of Outlaws I don't care that much, so youtube keeps recommending more.
Jedi survivor suffered from a broken launch that overshadowed the good. That's why I didn't buy it but I just ordered my copy last week since the bugs have been ironed out. I love JFO completed it about 20-25 times.
I 100% of the game in less than 30 hours 50 hours is an overstatement which is funny to say because 50 hours is literally what everyone says but it's just not the truth also I generally don't go through games that quick. A lot of the times I'll look up how long does it take to 100% a game and generally it takes me just as long if not longer to 100% most games.
This game was good but not worth the amount of glaze in this video. Combat was very good, artistic vision was great (Koboh was beautiful) but the game was extremely short (the story was only 40% of the game) I did EVERYTHING the game had to offer, collectables, all dialogues between NPC’s and finished the game with only 78 hours played. I often caught myself just walking through areas fighting things to try and extend my time in the game because you can feel when you are at the end parts of the game just by how the story mode’s pacing was. The absence of more planets to travel to really was a let down, game also lacked true exploration save for 2 planets (Koboh & Jedha). The game focused way too heavily on Cal and the immediate team. That was fine in the 1st game but they should have expanded the focus in this installment. If they do make a 3rd game I hope it is for the next gen of consoles so that the devs have more to work with and actually expand it so we can go to some of the more famed worlds and moons of the Star Wars universe and talk to more random NPC’s to make the game feel more alive. They should take inspiration from KOTOR 1&2 for a 3rd installment. Also they need to give us more and/or better Jedi Robes and ponchos
It isn’t that short. Definitely longer than Fallen Order. I finished the game in 50 hours (without counting new playthroughs). I did complete a fair amount of side content in that amount of time, but definitely not everything. But I would consider that a decent amount of playtime for this genre and for a linear / semi openworld. In comparison, I finished Spiderman 2, an openworld game, in 25 hours and did most of the side content in that amount of time. And GoW Ragnarok, a more comparable game in its structure, in 40 hours. I do agree with the lack of planets. I really liked Koboh as a hubworld. It really started to feel like home, so I wouldn’t want that changed, but I think Jedha could have been more compact and linear, to allow space for more planets.

Certainly better than the overrated Spiderman 2.

Everyone else: upset about a genuine character detail in the game.
Yep, makes sense.
Best game ever. Still woke on some points. But fuck it, the gameplay is incredible.

survivor and Spiderman 2 most enjoyable games for me last year

Just take your time mate we are not all the same.
Got the game yesterday. Its aggressively mid.
