Great job Jimmy on sorting this one. Most people don't realise euro 5 emissions cars actually spray diesel into the cylinder on the exhaust stroke, so some will get past the rings and dilute the oil, so an oil change after a forced regeneration is a really good idea.
Appreciate this video bro its helps to see where my mechanic cheated 😂 can you please make a video how to remove and clean rhe egr valve on the subaru diesel especial the 2009-2015 models they are the same and would help alot of people. ❤
Hi Jimmy, I really enjoyed your video, great diagnostics. I'm considering buying pombe of these subaru diesels but I'm worried about the crankshaft breaking even on the 2013 onwards, subaru is supposed to have upgraded the block and crankshaft but I've still got my concerns.
Hi Mohammed. Do you still have the oil separators from the jaguar? I'd like to cut them open to see what fails inside. I've fixed a dozen range rovers now with this issue but I've never kept the old part to compare it with a working on
@@ORileysAutos damn I didn't take photos but I cut the thing in 2 and I could not see anything that was blocked etc it was hollow as it should be. If I still have the 2nd hand part I bought ill post it to you. I'll check tkmorrow
That has to be the easiest to access DPF ive ever seen for a DIYer like myself.I may consider an older diesel forester or outback now after seeing this.I wonder are the glow plugs as easy to access/change.Love the videos mate
@@ORileysAutos I since heard some horror stories of those gen 3 foresters diesels snapping crankshafts 😦 . Your videos are some of the best on youtube mate 👍
@@garyburke301as long as they’re looked after with regular servicing a preventative maintenance there is nothing to worry about. My euro 4 still on original engine at 14 years old and huge mileage. Not complicated to work on either and easy to understand how the dpf system works and therefore maintain.
Just something super important do point out that i just learned, Always clean the egr valve when you cleaning or chaning the dpf, if the egr valve is sotted there is no benefit in just cleaning or changing the dpf. 😉 Mechanics know this and they should do it in one go but they are very lazy and avoid doing it.
Same problem on my Forester , subaru UP pipe brake. The first was the down pipe......check them😉, After i ve change the dpf! c est la maladie des subaru !!! Nic from France.
Ive got the dpf regen warning warning, the cars been put into regen mode and it still wont clear, despite reset after regen. At a bit of a loss with it.😊
The diagnosis and fault finding is amazing. Love watching the videos - keep posting please:)
Thank you 😊
You picked up the most common potential faults with pipes - well done - saved a lot of time, impressed!
Thank you

Yes. If it hasn't been done in a very long time I like to change it before doing a regen so less risk of damage
@@ORileysAutos 🥰🥰🥰
Super detailed information 👌
Cheers
Amazed how many people still after all these years sell cars with known faults. Still so long as you earn a crust out of it.
Nice video , very informative - question tho, What was the muck that came out that exhaust? What's that from ?

I have the same car. Went through two DPFs. Upgraded the intercooler pipe to silicone as the factory one is not fit for purpose.

haha I wish you were in Australia my outback has the same issue and dealer said it could cost $3500 to fix 🤪
This days dealers are liers. Actors playing a role so we can believe and pay.

Do people not realise they legally have 3 months to return a car back to a garage they bought a car from unless it is bought as seen.
Hello, Can you tell me what diagnostic tool you use?
Autel MK906BT
Hi, what fluid did you use to flush the DPF out with, when you used the manual pressure pump
What kind of blue liquid is that?
Hey Jimmy is that a Samsung a22 5g you're using to record?
Yes it is 👍🏻
Good spotting
@@ORileysAutos I just bought one lol 😄, seems good for the money.
@@MrZimmaframe I bought plus version and i'm also happy with it's performance.
