  • The 'Lil' Guardian Pyro' team and myself were recently invited to Valve, in Seattle, Washington.
The visit was awesome, and Valve allowed us to use their motion-capture facilities to create some original content, as well as some background animations for their 'Expiration Date' Team Fortress 2 short.

This is why I love valve. Not only do they endorse fan made content based on their IP, but they actually let the fans use their tools and software to make their fan content look as great as they can be FOR FREE. They know how to use free advertising at its fullest. Though I wouldn't be surprised if this makes them look like oddballs to other copyright holders in the industry, but who cares?
