A wonderful class in control. Will add this to my repertoire as I like to mix things up. At 81 I’m still swinging the bells, but am not always feeling as strong as I used to. Shouldn’t be as I havent stopped training, perhaps I am not pushing myself enough………
its awesome that you are still swinging at 81 and try to improve yourself! But the body is meant to get weaker as time goes by so i doubt pushing always harder is the solution. Maybe more adapting everyday to what your body allows you to do without hurting yourself, after all at any age thats what we should do!
@@ramjam-zv7mi Why is the body meant to get weaker? That is necessarily not true. Too many older people sit around and just eat - yes they become weaker. Doesn’t have to be that way. I believe that one must keep moving, lifting and bending, keep the posture in fine form, and not let nature take its’ course. I reckon that people get lazy and dont move enough.
@@ramjam-zv7mi I disagree with your statement. Who says that it is natural that the body becomes weaker with age, that occurs if one doesn’t exercise properly. That is when Osteoporosis and thinnning bones begin to show their negative effect on the body. I am not competing with younger people, but am definitely an athlete at my age.
Hello Mark from Japan! I just wanted to tell you that I’m so happy that I met you Deedra. My wife and I were watching this video. She loves the horses and the nature. She’s Japanese. I’m from Brooklyn. And I’m so happy to be following you
Great complex - snatch-squat-strict press with light weights (20 kg) has become a mainstay of my routines and it has been a game changer for my conditioning.
I have issues due to nerve damage affecting my left forearm/hand so can't go heavier than 20kg on that side - so I do doubles and single complexes. My favourite being a variant of Brett's "Iron Cardio". Clean, Press, step back lunge, press at bottom of lunge (keep bell up), stand up, snatch, rerack and squat. Takes about 20 seconds - bell down and go in the half minute for the other side. Repeat for 10-20 minutes. Sneaky "cardio"😊
Bonus point if you can do a hand to hand snatch. Catch the bell in the opposite hand at the top of the snatch for a seamless transmission. Takes some training for sure.
This REALLY motivated me! My goal of kettle bell is to shape up to start riding horses again...Can no longer throw my heavy saddle onto a horse...well, maybe yours! Lol. So cute little darlings! Thanks Mark! Love the outdoor surroundings for instruction. ..can relate to farm work.
This is going to be a mean addition to my current 2 swing, 2 clean, 2 snatch (now snatch press!), 2 squat non-stop for time combo. (16kg day, 20kg day, 24kg day)
Love these! Your tuition and attention to the details are always greatly appreciated 🙏. On this particular exercise though I’ve switched to using a dumbbell because no matter what I do (and my technique is correct) I just end up with huge bruises on my arm/wrist-seems it’s related to taking anticoagulants which causes me to bruise with the slightest bump of a weight - my knee was almost black blue and deeply bruised when I recently clipped my knee doing a kettlebell swing… …I’ve been doing kettlebells for ten years and still have times where I mess up and get a bruise! Thankfully not too often! Despite ten years I’m still on a life long journey of learning and watching your videos helps address the details to be sure the movement is meticulously correct! You are worth your weight in all the kettlebells!
Mark, quick question about my new Kettle King adjustable bells (which are awesome). Is there any concern about damaging the spindle threads when loading weights? Of course, I'm trying to be reasonably careful, but -- at least for the first few plates -- it is very hard to not have the plates slide over some of the threads. Have you had any issues?
I have a Wolverson adjustable bell and I was worried about this due to the roughness of the "plates". I took a Dremel to their edges and then put heavy duct tape over them - stopped then rattling too😂
@@MarkWildman, awesome. Yeah, I really don't want to waste my life babying them; I just want to use the living #$%@ out of them! Thanks for responding!
OMG! 😍 Pony is so cute! What a set of good natured laughs! Thanks for leaving all that in! 😁
That pony is adorable. :). Love the kettlebell instruction - thanks for the video!

As long as you train several times a week, you’re good!
Listen to your body and keep moving it with weight regardless of how many pounds😉
Check into Chinese Qi Gong energy exercises. Especially at our age ( I am 68), it’s very important to fortify one’s longevity that way
That pony is hilarious
didn't know what to do with my life for 6 days without a new video.
You covered everything in this clip! AND now we have the talking to the animals ❤🐴🧲
I just love your stuff. That's all. Inspiring. Humorous. Great stuff!
Shetland ponies - so sweet looking … devious, ruthless, little gangsters.
Lol, I had a Shetland and I think everybody should have to pass Shetland negotiations 101 ....😂
They are stubborn beasts? More so than a donkey?
I was so small when I started riding, I needed one of the school's two Shetlands. Lovely animals, if you didn't mind going where they wanted.
Excellent. I haven't seen this combination before and really like it. I'm 65, and looking to make it to at least 95.
Same! I'm 65 and 95 + is my goal!

I am 58 January. Can we train together online?
😂 I’m glad he kept the horses in the video
In what other KB video are you going to see the instructor visited by two cute ponies? Simply great! Another reason Mark's stuff is the best!
The snatch press, such a logical progression I never even considered.
Great complex - snatch-squat-strict press with light weights (20 kg) has become a mainstay of my routines and it has been a game changer for my conditioning.
Creative and brutal variation, going to have to try that.

The Nerd Math Clean and Press program is just outstanding. I have limited KB weights and this program is so effective for that situation.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 for the algorithms
Mark, thank you for all the content. Sincerely.

Excellent. As usual. Thank you 🙏
Great video, but I'm already 70 - looking to make it to 90 ;)
YESSS!!!
I hear ya, I'm 65!

Joey Swoll would love this video!
I love snatch presses, especially when super pressed for time
Am I the only one nervous about a kettle bell near his windshield? That’s confidence.
Thank you Mark. Going to do these now.
Thank you Mark!
For best results ... how many two hand swings per day? And for how many days till I start trying clean and press?
Yaiiiiiiiiii...... poniesssssss 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 so adorable n a kind loving owner ponies have ❤❤❤❤ precious 🥰

Excellent 👊🏼
Love your KB workouts-very informative. First one I've seen interrupted by a shetland pony though.
I don't do strict presses due to shoulder arthritis, but lots of good ideas here. [age 70]
Lol, best.training.video.ever. Sorry Mark, but the pony completely outshines you in this video 😂❤ 🐴
Now turning the Press into a Thruster and the exercise of my dreams (or nightmares? 😂) is complete!
The Pony thinking where Do i press Like....at least i can follow him😂
Recently jumped to the 20kg for snatches after doing the snatch test with my 16kg. Think I’ll start doing this on my ‘light day’ with the 16kg.
Just when i thought there couldnt be anything cuter in your videos...... also great content as always.
did you move back to ohio? I've been thinking of moving back and buying land.
When did Ohio is absolutely crazy expensive now, but I highly recommend it
Love the ponies 😂 I'll be adding this move.
Warm up?

I haven’t had any trouble with messing up the threads on mine, and I really really do not take care of mine very well

Nice
Kettle-Nerd and Kettle-Pony ;-)
Come on BELLS OF STEEL, make us some adjustable ponies… 🤪
🐎
Jeez, after 6 years of KB C&P and Snatches, the motor neurons REALLY didn’t like the first few rounds of Snatch & Press!!!
All hail the pony thumbnail.
Cheap trick to bring in the pony to make us all like and comment... works for me though...
why does the donkey have a hannibal lector mask on?
It’s called a grass muzzle. It keeps ponies from eating way too much way too fast.
haha, thanks. You learn something new everyday@@MarkWildman
