This thing is nicer than my house.
Really?
This RV is dope.
Dope is bad for you, wicked is terrible. Why use bad words to describe good things.. THINK
Great review, loved it
I love the 45Kw battery pack. Thats an insane amount of power. A Tesla power wall is 7Kw.
the bathroom is a gimmick I can't think of a time when I would ever want it to not be opaque
The only benefit is that it makes the space feel more open. Otherwise I agree with you. Gimmick
yes, if a wall, makes it claustrophobic inside and out It looks great and large enough for 130kg me @@Ajjakakkaka
When alone
When alone or brushing teeth or something
Hmm, instantly outdated with that NACS connector now that most cad manufacturers in USA are switching to tesla standard
I've seen a few videos of this a few months back and nobody ever shows the 🛏️ thanks guys
Great video, I have seen several overviews of the Pebble, and this answered questions that others did not address. I still have a couple can you charge the battery from a 30-amp outlet at a campground? what is size of the fridge?what is n the weight o f the trailer? What is the power draw of the ac and heat pump that is how long can you stay off grid running either of these systems? And finally, if you are off grid for an extended period of time, it is all about re harging the battery, how much solar is there, can you increase the solar input? What are all the ways to charge the battery ?
1. Yes2. Cant find it. 3. 6400 4. 7 days average 4. 1 kw solar on roof. 5. I don’t think so 6. 120, 220, dc fast charge, solar.
Ditto 😂
Ugh single axle is one flat tire away from a disaster
I seriously asked myself if I could live in this year round. Kind of tempted to. And given the price I'd probably have to. Thinking I wouldn't mind so much, though! LOL
With that RV, you can live comfortably in that without worrying too much as long you can charge that RV up (if you've got a portable massive power source to go along.wirh that RV) then you're all good to go in terms of camping
Not really. You need water and sewage in addition to electricity. Then local municipal governments want property taxes if you are full time and not in a RV park. Many people bought tiny houses thinking they can just park it somewhere and live. Nope.
@@rebellucy6200 An RVs main expenses would be propane & gas. Taking away gas, saves you a lot (haven’t seen the price of this RV yet, so not sure if that price justifies no gas).
Everything else most of the time can be done for free. Free dump stations & water fillers (rare, but somewhat common). Usually a catch. But worth it.
Also for the property tax. You can just claim that you’re homeless, and say you travel in the RV time-to-time. Plead the 5th, some luck, you win.
This core issue is you need to now charge this and the car in the road trip
Wouldn't the car charge this
@@us3rG Yup
I really wish they had added an option for a larger solar array. In theory you could charge both the RV and the tow vehicle fast enough to drive indefinitely if the solar array was big enough. There's plenty more room on top of the RV to accommodate it. This has been something of a pipe dream of mine for a while; electric vehicle towing rv that recharges the vehicle. Not sure why nobody has gone for this yet.
@@TheIrizarr impossible, a car towing would need much more area then that would provide for sustained driving. However I do agree that they should have the roof expand when parked to increase capable solar charging off grid.
@@Zach-qu9zz Even if it couldn't provide enough energy to keep the battery of the EV charged, it would still extend the range on a single charge significantly, and provide a method of indefinite free travel with stops.
To be honest, I'm excited for this trailer! Just not the current model. At 6.2K dry weight, it's too heavy for most hybrid vehicles to carry. Even the new 2024 Land Cruiser comes in at 6K max tow. It's honestly a shame, because I see major potential for a camper like this not to have an EV towing it (due to battery life/recharge time issues), but instead for a hybird SUV/truck for camping. LC will ship with a 2.4 kW inverter standard; the new F150 Hybrid can tow 8000 and comes with a 7.5 kW inverter. If the camper can backfeed into said hybrid, imagime the fual savings of using electric at low gear and gasoline on the highway, then being able to spend gas to recharge the trailer and be remote for as long as you like, short of having to grab more jerry cans. THAT's where I think the utility is.
Apparently it has an engine that can be used to help propel the vehicle. I can imagine how that lowers the rating at least while it has enough battery. However I don't know the details so maybe not 🤷
Amazing
It's great for camping
Great concept, hopefully with mass adoption you can get it down to the $60K mark. over $100K is absurd... though i do like it.
This is Walking House & Look so Comfortable!!! 👍🏻😲👍🏻
god i wish i were rich
😅 I wish was too 😂
The "last a week" battery claim is misleading. When you drive out to a spot the propulsion system is going to drain the battery down to almost nothing. 1kW worth of solar panels will probably help you keep you going while the Sun is still out plus a couple of hours and then the battery will be dead at that point. So really what they mean is if you do not use the battery for propulsion, park out in the open, the temperature is a perfect 65 degrees, and you have day after day of full Sun, you might make it a week. Otherwise, but still no propulsion, its 2 or 3 days at best. HVAC uses a lot of energy, as does heating water, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, range.
Where is the storage for bikes, grill, lounge chairs etc
@Srsook if you had a truck no problem!!
That electrowhatever bathroom glass...imagine you are inside and doing your thing, when the glass suddenly malfunctions and goes from opaque to transparent.
So true. I can't see an upside to having it transparent for any reason. Having a mirror surface would be better if attempting to provide the illusion of more space/openness. And the $125k price tag...egads!
I think it is not cheap, seems a little underestimated.
can you "live" in it for all year round?
needs more solar panels i can see roof wasnt fully utilised also space on roof top sides also can be solar panels installed.
im looking for "self sustainable" RV , where it can not only generate electricity but also collect rain water, filter it and store it on bigger fresh water storage.
Nowhere to mount and watch TV?
How much!!
It can 360 turn controlling remotely
Nice how much
5:32 As long as you don't accidentally press that button while showering it's all good. 😁
Cost ?
starting 125K
@@ilovemimimomo Cheers
bed looks super weak
Calling it an EV RV is redundant. Electric vehicle recreation vehicle vs ERV electric recreational vehicle. Come on…let’s make these things easier and logical.
Well if you REALLY want to get technical this thing is NOT an RV it's a recreational trailer! RV is Recreational VEHICLE, this is NOT a vehicle, it is towed behind a VEHICLE! SO it should be called ERT
@@COORS5766 It can move and drive on it’s on. Not for a long distance but in the video it showed it moving on its own. Vehicle.
@@JJohnson313 Can it travel on a highway? Does it have headlights and turn signals on the front? Can it maintain traveling speed on the back roads of 25mph, forget the 65mph? SO It's meant to be TOWED, Hence trailer NOT a vehicle!
@@COORS5766 well, people have gotten DUI in electric wheelchairs chairs and golf carts that can’t do those things either. Since you wanted to get technical…you should know what you’re talking about.
@@JJohnson313 Yea and they are called golf "CART" and Wheel "CHAIR" not a vehicle! Just me being technical again! LMFAO!
Is it winter capable, does it have heating or aircon in the summer? EVs kinda suck. The battery technology isn't there yet.
It has a heat pump that provides heat and AC
@@scootermacgregor2471 😂
Did anybody now an EV Car that can towing this Monster 😅
Rivian cyber truck 150 lightning Silverado ev hummer
But they say a regular family😢 SUV can tow it. Specifically, which ones? Thank you.
no air conditioning ?
Heat and AC with the included heat pump system
too many electronic gimmicks that will break down over time.. the bathroom glass is not opaque enough
What you gonna do inside a RV bathroom that needs more opaqueness 🧐🧐🧐
It’s electronically controlled. Do you want a completely opaque bath or something? That will block out all natural light.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍i love it
The bed seems like a compromise in sleep comfort just to have the office configuration. And btw, where are the bug screens?! agree with others about the shower glass, pointless expense as nobody will leave this in transparent setting. The designers clearly do not have/use RVs in practical settings with kids... design goals seem to be more about gadgetry vs. practice design utilizing EV tech where meaningful. ...Lightship seems to have a better vision/application of tech for ERVs IMO.
For that price... Naw... Thank for the video. But I will never buy this sorry as rv
$109k.. Our full size 35ft RV was $70,000.. Throughout 5 years, it made us spend around us $8,000.. Mainly maintenance. Even taking 3-4 trips/year, we spend less than what we spend in one go buying this. Plus you have expenses on top of this.
There is no chance for that EV assist while driving to be safe. You have "dumb" electric assist here, I guess wheels just react when car is accelerating putting more power on RV wheels and when car is slowing it reduces that assist... But what if wheels lost traction? Does it have ESP, ABS? Does it have disc drives? You cant push your car with that thing! It could create momentum turning at the trailer mounting point and then throwing the trailer and car sideways! It's insane! To work properly it must be integrated with car's systems! And I don't believe it's even possible for more than one model of a specific car...
Just imagine your grandma forgetting to hit the opaque button before stepping in the shower! 🤮
Guaranteed way to bring fossil fuel cultists out of the crypts: Put EV in the title
its nice that all of us are talking ev's but our power grid can't handle the power supply of all the homes/ev's, we need to figure out a way to get mor power i.e solar/wind/hydro (more) and then we can go ev crazy
can the hitch self align work on non eletric cars/trucks (disel)
Can we please RIGHT NOW update AND SECURE our national grid?? That should have been done yesterday? What are they doing with all the money they said would go towards the grid because it’s STILL not upgraded!!! Let’s get in that because ut will sustain ALL of us!!!
The more electrics the more problems
I'm not impressed at all.
It looks snazzy, but it does not seem very functional for a very expensive box EV RV.
BTW, do we really want to add RVs to the grid now that cars and trucks have maxed out the grid?
I think people are too myopic. They can not see the forest for the tree that's standing in front of them.
All the whiz Bang and novelty will wear off after about 2 camping trips.
good candidate for hydrogen fuel cell
Can't wait to see all the used pebble's and price bomb on them. Foolish hipster people new to camping with more money than brains will buy them cause new and "cool" ev factor, few months or year later will realize it's a terrible design and overpriced to competition once they actually go camping and see other's setups, then try to sell them.
It's bad enough to have a thermal runaway in a bus, in your car or in your garage.. Now imagine fast asleep on top of one. Yikes. Not to mention the risk of a major fire in a forested area, miles away from emergency services.
All this techno vomit and no Starlink, external security cameras, TV and/or monitor, sound system, etc… There are dozens of other trailers that are more feature rich, larger AND the same price or cheaper than this abortion. Defective by design and DOA.
Their website is unusable marketing infinitely scrolling. Very bad sign.
I am not WOKE, so did not bother watching trash-talk
